No visible or apparent rental office. Returned on Friday 9/18/20 to the area marked "Return Equipment Here". No U-Haul personnel around. Walked around the yard and found a man in a U-Haul uniform and he points me across the large lot to talk to "Jimmy" for the return. Jimmy says "just leave it over there, it's all paid. I'll send you a receipt". I ask for for him to mark my copy returned and Jimmy says "I don't have a pen, it's all paid see, don't worry, I'll e-mail you the return confirmation". E-mail never comes and on Monday 9/21/20 the equipment is still not returned in the U-Haul system is now marked as "Late". No answer at first from the return location and U-Haul 800 number drops my call after explaining the situation. After lengthy hold with the 800 number I try the drop-off location again. Jimmy can't come to the phone but Payman Parsa says the trailer is here "don't worry I'll send the e-mail" which he actually did about 15 minutes later but not a lot of confidence in the 665 N. Halsted, Chicago location.

Service attendant was a complete jerk - refused to provide dolly's, said it "wasn't in my reservation", even after being shown it was on my confirmation. Was told I "must have let them fall out the back by not latching it", even though I lived ONE BLOCK away. Absolutely ridiculous service.

The moving company 24/7 moving that I booked through uhaul didn't show up to the job. It ruined my day and my weekend and I had to reschedule a bunch of things incurring a lot of extra expenses on myself. Please get rid of 24/7 moving

The van had a half empty tank when we rented the vehicle. Despite this, we were asked to fill it full; otherwise, we will be charged $40.

Pickup/drop-off efficient and easy, recommend using website to complete rental agreement before arrival. Regarding website, had difficulty with having password accepted as certain characters not recognized.

I did not know where to meet the staff who would provide me with my rental. Because no one was in the gate office, I spent several minutes wandering around the yard. Also, I was disappointed that I had to travel almost an hour to pick up my rental, rather than picking it up at the closer location where I reserved it.

The truck was given at 1/4th tank full. We drove for 5 miles and returned it at the same level of fuel. The person said we didn't have to refuel if we used less than 10 miles. But we were charged $45 for refuelling 7 gallons of fuel. This is ridiculous! Would be great if you could refund our $45. And also I don't want to use UHaul any more. I'll find something else. This is some terrible service from you guys!

I wasn't given a dolly I paid for. I then asked for a refund and wasn't given one. The gentleman at the desk was not interested in helping my family in any way. Overall it was a very frustrating experience.

"Office" to check in and out was basically a guard shack. We, as well as the customer in front of us, drove past it and around a warehouse that had no Uhaul markings on it. Upon returning to the gate area, we noticed the guy in front of us talking to someone in the "guard house". Either get a real office or a bigger building by the gate to check in/out. Also, customers have to stand in the sun (or rain) when waiting to process reservations and get keys. The attendants were not particularly friendly or welcoming. Not nasty or mean but just cold and indifferent. Not a good face for the company.

I was a little nervous choosing this location because there were a lot of bad reviews. Overall I had a great experience, it was really easy picking up and dropping off. There was even plenty of parking to leave your car there while you moved which I thought was awesome. The van was clean and the service was great.

The UHaul truck we reserved was disgusting - garbage & chip crums were everywhere, it was stick and most importantly, had CLEARLY not been cleaned or sanitized since the last user. This is a huge concern given that we are still deep into a global pandemic and COVID cases continue to rise in the Chicagoland area. We were extremely disappointed. Additionally, the staff member who conducted our check-in was shockingly rude, mocked us and gave us a very hard time. I have rented several times from UHaul and they have all been fabulous experiences but this was extremely disappointing considering the present circumstances we ALL face. Moving in a pandemic is no piece of cake and the staff at our location only made this experience harder and scarier (considering the safety risks).

This was the worst customer service I have ever had when I arrive to pick up the truck I was yelled at because he told me I was supposed to be there at 5 AM when clearly my reservations at 5 PM he said he had one truck left with only less than an eighth of a tank of gas When I got in the truck the fuel range said 26 miles to empty. So now I had to make an extra stop for fuel which was $1.95 per gallon more expensive than what I should have paid since I was in the heart of Chicago. I have never in my life in all of my rentals been given a vehicle with that little fuel. With the absolute rudeness of your employee I will never use your company again and I will be letting all of friends and family know how poorly of an experience this was.

This location is horrible. There is only one employee and he is extremely rude and refused to provide me with equipment that I had reserved and paid for.

The attendant charged me for way more than I was verbally told over the phone and what I have paperwork showing my costs would be. Additionally, I originally reserved a 15ft truck but it wasn't available so I had to use a 10ft truck. I need to get reimbursed for the overcharge and need the $50 guarantee credit.

When I booked online, it originally had me going to auto repair shop on Division near California ave. When I got there, they told me they never have trailers and aren't sure why Uhaul would have sent me there. They looked up in the system and from there found out it was actually at the 665 N Halsted. That part of the process was frustrating but don't blame the 665 N Halsted location. It was Uhauls general reservation system that I have a complaint on.
