Took forever to get the trailer like almost a hour of waiting and they gave me false information saying I could drop off around my area I live when they booked it as one way
JADEN KThe app said to return keys to a dropbox that didn't exist. Gave the keys to the storage facility manager who was rude & lied that he'd check in the truck. Waited until the next day after it was late to check in and caused a fraud late charge. The guy's girlfriend that was there was obviously scared of him and I could tell he beats her. When I called to ask why he didn't check it in on time, he lied and said he did and the system automatically charges. He then blamed it on my previous reservation. This company is disgusting & I'll never rent from Uhaul again.
Anthony MMy intent was to reserve a one way U-Haul from Colfax, CA to Susanville, CA on a Sunday. Renting the vehicle on a "Sunday" appeared to be extremely complicated (?!) because U-Haul was closed at both pickup and arrival locations. This created a MAJOR problem with scheduling (which seems ridiculous if the app is available to pick up and drop off digitally.) Therefore, U-Haul schedulers suggested I pickup on Saturday and rent for 2 days instead (at no extra cost.) In doing so, U-Haul sent me about 8(!!) different notifications via email for the change. It was absolutely insane. On Saturday, when I arrived at Colfax to pick up the representative had a hard time cleaning up the mess - but he figured it out and gave me the keys. However, I DIDN'T KNOW he somehow created a NEW reservation and CHANGED the reservation to a ROUNDTRIP rental, for the vehicle to be returned to Colfax!! Which would've cost me considerably more money. Next, U-Haul somehow managed to have numerous reservations for my account on file with conflicting information, all around. Ultimately I drove the vehicle to Susanville and returned it to the location provided by the app. HOWEVER, the manager at the drop off location (who was very kind, knowledgeable and professional) figured out he could NOT MARK THE VEHICLE RETURNED because the pick up location created a ROUNDTRIP ticket. He said not to worry and that he would fix everything when offices were open. Unfortunately, THAT didn't happen. What did happen was I received 3 phone calls from nearby locations in Susanville for the next 2 days advising me to return the truck to THEIR locations. !! It was a nightmare! For 2 days I wrestled with phone calls and emails notifying me that the vehicle had not yet been returned!! I then drove to the drop off location to determine EXACTLY where the vehicle was and luckily the door was open and 2 items I'd left inside the vehicle were still there. So I knew the vehicle hadn't been used and the mileage would likely be the same as when I dropped off the truck. I then contacted support again to confirm and they advised me the manager at the drop off location had not been able to check it in due to the "round trip" order from the pick up location. It was a HORRIBLE experience!!
