This location was fine. This was not the location I booked, I booked the Indian Trading Post location in Wildwood with the 9am reservation time. Not only was it a creepy place out of a horror movie.. there was no one there... we waited an hour and no one showed up as we sat on hold to talk to the 1-800 number who never picked up. We called another store 30 mins away who said they couldn't help us get a hold of someone but gave us an 833 number that answered quickly. By 10:30 we were driving to Davenport because it was the closed location to where we needed the trailer, everything else around the original pick up (near our home) was 30 mins in the wrong direction. Once we got to the pick up location, he couldn't find a drop off location within 30-45 mins from our house... so again had to call the 833 number and spend another 30 mins figuring that out before we could actually use the trailer... so we got a 3 hour late start due to your scheduling and business issues.. they waived the 1 way fee but did nothing else to help us out. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. While we were waiting at the Indian trading post, other people came up to try to rent something and left. In the end.. we still didn't even get the trailer we needed with a ramp which is what I clicked on when I made the reservation but my reservation came back as an enclosed trailer without a ramp.. not a happy customer.

When I arrived to pick up the trailer they were understaffed and I was there during normal business hours I had to back my truck up into the sand to get the trailer out of the sand where it was stored, good thing I had four-wheel-drive a normal car would've not been able to pull it out. Hooked it up myself checked everything myself there was no personnel to help load. (I do own tractors so hook was straight forward. But if you needed help you were out of luck) To be fair it was a gas station/U-Haul pick up return center But based on that if you were going to run two businesses at one location you need to have staffing to be able to handle both.

From the time I contacted Linda at this location, I was well pleased with her friendly and pleasant greeting. Her professional and beautiful customer service approach put an end to my stressful and eventful day. Linda assisted me promptly with my request for the rental and made herself available to assist with any questions or needs. The cabin reaked of cigarette smoke Also this is a formal report of a mileage discrepancy that makes me want to inform Uhaul corporate that false info about last mileage or deliberate odometer abnormalities took place during my rental. There was also a problem when we bought gas for our personal car are the same time. We selected regular unleaded gas paying with debit card and the pump jumped to the premium grade at a $4 per gallon rate. We believe this site is scamming its patrons and Uhaul should make sure it doesn't get named in a lawsuit as one of the defendants for committing fraud in Florida. Someone should archive this message, research these allegations and reprimand once what I am saying checks out. Call me directly if you need more evidence. Ph 843.319.9432

EVERYTHING! My experience was absolutely horrible. The truck was in terrible condition. It was very Dirty, the leather was visibly dirty, had animal fur in the seats, windows were so dirty you could hardly see through them in the front and on the driver's side. The cab smelled bad, so I had to get cleaning supplies buckets, rags, lysol cleaning solutions etc to scrub and soap down the entire cab. Plus it was an older truck so the truck burned double gas than what a different truck the same size would have been.

Horrible experience! Will NEVER use this company again! First, we were assured our truck was ready for pick up. On route to the location, we were re-routed across town due to our original location NOT having a truck available. Then, at the secondary location, the clerk forced my 17 year old grandson into illegally signing the contract while his father... the primary and ONLY driver was checking on the truck itself. When I called to complain, as I am the one who reserved and paid for the truck, I was assured a manager WOULD contact me within 48 hours. The clerk, who was nice also issued me a refund for the rental cost. I am still out the .99 per mile, but I did get my item home so that's something. But the manager never did contact me. I've dealt with U-Haul for over 40 years with mostly successful encounters. This is so disappointing. I'm done.

The Attendant I delt with was awful. I walked in and the TV hanging on the wall was blaring. They tried to talk to me over the loud music. Finally decided to turn down the tv so we could actually communicate. They asked me my phone number to verify the rental and provide the the key. I had to give them my number 3 times as they really weren't interested in what I was saying. I also said that my vehicle I was assigned was blocked in by other vehicles. They said “ummmm we have to move everything to get it out.” Then looked at me like I was an idiot. Once they got the vehicle unblocked. They literally just tossed the keys and walked away. I will never rent from this location again. Possibly budget rental next time. So frustrating.

The van that we rented smelled horrible to the point where if I didn't absolutely need it I wouldn't even rented it it was completely dirty there's paperwork left in there from a previous runner which just goes to show that no one ever actually clean the vehicle there was stuff all over the seat to where I had to put a towel down just to be able to sit on it. I would absolutely not recommend this to a friend. However the running process was very easy the lady who helped us was very courteous.

The process for online pick up was pretty ridiculous. The point of online pick up is to not have to interact with another person, but I had to go inside the store to get the key. I confirmed everything on my phone, but I didn't know that I was supposed to make sure everything was confirmed inside as well and boy, I wish I had. Randall, the first live chat rep I had was very short and dismissive. The first thing they said to me was that my alternate contact didn't answer. First of all, noone told me they were immediately going to try to call the person, if I would have known that, I would have let them know As soon as I got to my first location, the check engine light turned on. And the kicker to this entire experience, when I returned to the store, the in person lady processing my return said I needed to fill the gas to the 7/8 mark right below full. When I got the truck, the gas gauge was right above a quarter of a tank and I even confirmed this on the website when I picked up the truck. Of course there is no way for me to see this confirmation now that I have been approved to get the truck. I end up having to pay 80 DOLLARS IN GAS because the system inside the store is different than the system I used to reserve the damn truck in the first place and she can't see that I confirmed the gas gauge on her computer. Let me reiterate to make sure we understand, I DROVE THIS TRUCK FOR 42.5 MILES AND I HAD TO PAY 80 DOLLARS IN GAS If you guys really want to rectify my experience, you, U-Haul, not the convenience store, could refund the 80 dollars I had to spend to give a truck more gas than I used, but I'm sure that won't happen since you have already have my money

The inside of the truck where you drive was dusty and dirty it didn't look like it was cleaned or wipe down or anything so I'm really hoping I don't catch the covid-19 because of the dirtiness of that truck I don't think they disinfected anyting it didn't clean it
