I was charged over $300 for what was advertised as $19.95, I paid over $50 at the location upon pickup of the vehicle and am completely disgusted with the charges that were applied. I drove less than 30 miles round trip and was charged over 4x more than the original be in store charge . I am disputing this charge due to the fact that the charges are outrageous and I will never again do any business with uhaul. For now on all my business goes elsewhere.

Although I didn't use the Truck Share option for after-hours pickup or drop-off, it was nice to know it was there if I needed it. The customer service on the phone (1-800-GoUHaul) and at the store, as well as the in-person customer service at the store were all great. I appreciated that the system worked so well and reduced my stress on moving day!
There was some confusion with scheduling and no one knew why my reservation was changed but things got worked out. Moving is stressful enough without thinking you wouldn't have a truck the day before.

The service at your Huber Hts l;ocation Bandt Pike was terrible first they didn't have the van I reserved the female clerk was not wearing a mask and was making joke about thr Corona Virus saying its a hoax,,
This location was great. With that being said this was not the location we originally had chosen, We chose a location near our home where we needed the truck. We reserved the truck more than a week prior to needing it and a day before we where to pick it up the location changed to this new location 12 miles further away. Then we go to pick it up and I sit in approval status for nearly an hour with your 24/7 option. Pick up was suppose to be at 8:00am the store that supports Uhaul didn't open till 11:00. I tried calling Uhaul and the message was " we are experiencing heavier than normal calls at this time, please try again later". Thankfully the store owner showed up early (9:00am) to get some things done and was able to check us out with troubles of his own since I had started the checkout on a mobile system and he was trying to get it on his computer. The store operator was very helpful. So the fact that you want a review on this location is really irrelevant. There are so many other things you should be concerned with besides the location. I have used Uhaul plenty of times and have overall had good experiences, the truck I rented was very nice, clean, with plenty of power. truck and location gets 5 stars. But you have the market covered with very little if any competition. Its not like I could have went to another company at 9am on a Saturday on the first of the month. I get that it was a Sat and it was the first of the month because when I did get through to a representative they made it clear that Uhaul was "really busy" because or the day and date. So Uhaul is obviously aware that this was going to be a busy day and apparently did nothing to help alleviate the situation. I also had to pick up the uhaul at a location 12 miles further away. I understand things happen and while I wasn't ok with having to pick up from a different location I was willing to do so. Now I have to drive 12 miles further to pick up, did I get credit for the added mileage...No. Did I get billed for mileage over run...Yes. Was my wife loosing her mind...Yes. "Why wasn't I upset" she asked. Because I know customer service is a thing of the past... no one does the right thing... and if I'm pinned at the pick-up location at 9am on a Saturday and Uhaul knows I have people waiting to help me and there is nothing I can do as they have the market covered and all I can do is wait until Uhaul gets to me. I was going to ask if Uhaul was short for FU-all but my wife thought that was too much. While this was really my first bad experience, it really struck me. Really getting tired of poor customer service not only with Uhaul but in general. If you know you messed up whether its beyond your control or not, throw me a bone. I had nothing to do with you not having a truck a the location I reserved it. How is it that I'm doing all the foot work and somehow I am the asshole on the other end of this email?

Truck smelled of dog poop. Steering wheel required three wipes to get it clean. I had to mop the inside and disinfect myself to get rid of the dirt. Their was a knife left in driver side door, the knife was open and facing up. During these times of Covid it's very scary.

We went with U-Haul because we were impressed with your COVID-19 policy that you would disinfect the interior of every truck cab as it was returned from rental before it went out to someone else. We saw this stated on your website. When we picked up the truck, it was absolutely disgusting to see the interior of the cab. There was dog hair on the seats and all over, dog food and people food on the floor, and other dirt. There is no way this truck was cleaned in between rentals. When we mentioned it to the rental agent, he said, "well they can't get everything". It took 2 hours to clean and disinfect the interior before we could begin our trip to ND and feel comfortable sitting in it. About all we can say is there were no issues with the operation of the truck.
I can't really suggest any improvements. The whole process was very easy and user friendly.
Nothing for the facility. I had trouble checking in because app timed out and I had to go back and restart several times. Took me about 40 minutes to check in. Check out was easy
Ask to rent a dolly was told no when there was 10 of them right there very uncomfortable very unfriendly staff and like they were scared to even be at there work if people are going to be like that they need not to work at U-Haul period I work for Walmart if I acted anything like that I would be fired on spot
When you walk in the door and say, "I want to rent a U-Haul" the first thing that happens is the woman at the cash register says LOUDLY, "I have NOTHING to do with U-Haul," and she points you to a U-Haul Rental stand which has a sign saying Online Rentals Only. When you return the truck, it is the same story. They don't take the key, even if they are open, and they tell you in a rude fashion to drop it in the box. It is like they regard being a U-Haul rental location as a burden and they do not want U-Haul customers. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it is really extreme. They did jot down an 800 number for me to call U-Haul when the phone app didn't work, but I would rate their customer service attitude to be "Get out of my face!" Just try it yourself to see.
The requirement to use the online app created checkout Tierra of over 30 minutes, and I couldn't even check the truck back in.
