The message below is what I sent to uhaul customer service on June 14th, and I did not receive a response: Me and my husband experienced horrible customer service at this location today - Monday, June 14th, 2021. My husband walked into this location around 9:13am. The gentleman at the counter was already helping another customer. There was more flirting with the customer then getting her reservation completed. Around 9:25am I came in with my husband, was not acknowledged by the uhaul representative but instead was told by the customer ahead of us that I could â€œlook around the store because she would be awhileâ€. We were there for 45 minutes total. I had done the check in online to avoid the wait as uhaul's website advises. Your uhaul representative still requested my husband's license and a card to charge. He told me the only thing I made online today was a reservation, I told him I had made my reservation yesterday and did the actual check in today online. He told me that wasn't an online option, that it's only for reservations. I told him either him or uhaul's website is misinformed then. I had also ordered supplies online and he did not have some of my order in stock at his store, so I had to pay the difference for the more expensive wrap. I told him I could not understand how the website would allow me to order supplies that were not in stock and his response is that â€œthey thought I was picking up at the main location in Escondidoâ€. I had no idea I couldn't get my supplies at the same location as where we were getting our trailer. No apology for this inconvenience or for our wait time in the store, or having to provide the same information I already provided at check-in and had a confirmation for. The icing on the cake was that as we were leaving out the door the uhaul associate told the man behind us â€œsorry for the waitâ€. We were there a total of 45 minutes, the person behind me was there possibly 10 minutes. He received a warmer greeting in a shorter span of time than I did during our whole time there. We are longtime customers of uhaul and rent frequently from you guys, to encounter so many mishaps is so unfortunate. I will write a review for the store as well on Yelp and Google, but I wanted to inform uhaul that I felt like less of a customer than the other customers in the store. Thank you, MeaVincent D.

We were originally schedule for pickup in Santa Monica. It was bumped to HB. When I received that call the phone kept getting routed to San Diego and I had to be rerouted 2 times just to talk to someone. Then they got the date wrong and rebooked it for Sunday so I had to call back and change it again. When we got to the Huntington Beach location The computers were down in Hb. We could not even get a copy of the contract. I asked what the drop off locations were and the uhaul worker next to the one who was helping us said to look it up. It was very rude. The person helping us did end up telling us the different drop off options. They said they'd give us 80 extra miles because of the inconvenience in the change of location since it made it farther to drive. However upon dropping the uhaul off on Sunday they didn't have a record of that ans charged us extra. We tried explaining the situation the worker started arguing with my husband. This is the 3rd time we have had a really unprofessional, inconvenient and disappointing experience with uhaul. We wish there was another company to use instead when moving large items but uhaul seems to be the cost effective even though it's still quite a bit of money. I would really appreciate hearing from a manager regarding this.STACEY W.

Trailer had mechanical issues. Worker left the security chain completely loose to drive off and drag in the road. I had to stop and check everything, and secured it myself.CHASE C.
I dropped off the trailer after hours. This was the closest location to me with 24 hour return. At first, it was a little challenging figuring out where to return the trailer, because the logical place to return was blocked by four pizza delivery cars. After speaking to one of the pizza delivery people, they finally moved their cars so I could unhook the trailer and put into a spot next to the other Uhaul trucks. Other than the hiccup with the pizza delivery cars, it was easy to do a return after hours there using the Uhaul app.Victoria C.
