It was impossible to find the place by car and we had to park down the street and walk to find the office which had a tiny sign and no instructions on where the cars are. We found the trucks by pure luck and even then couldn't get in because the office wasn't open on time. Then we were told we had signed up to pick up the truck with a mobile app which neither of us had and there was no instructions telling us this. Not that it would have mattered because they didn't have the truck ready for our 7:30am pickup time, Wich was the latest time they had available. So we were an hour and a half late to start our move and it cut into our reserved elevator time which caused even further delays when we ran out the clock. And of course U-Haul still had to have the truck back in time despite giving it to us late so we didn't have time to fully pack the truck and did the rest with a small car. In the end the move that was meant to be done by 1:30pm wasn't complete until 11pm. Improve by sticking to the schedules you set, providing clear location details, and clear direction beyond "sign in and hope".
Please install clear, larger signage outside rental location: U-Haul storefront was not well labelled and was difficult to find. Please ensure representatives follow Covid-19 regulations: Service representative did not wear a face mask and was coughing during face-to-face interaction. Please provide contract in both official languages: Contract was only provided in French and was difficult to understand. Please ensure truck is clean before rental: There was a dried spill on the floor and residual gasoline odor in the truck when I received it. Please ensure U-Haul website is working for after-hours return: After-hour return website wasn't working during the vehicle return, resulting in a waste of 1.5 hours of my time to confirm on the phone that the truck had been returned on time and I would not be charged for late return.

Je comprends que la personne responsable a vÃ©cu une urgence et j'ai reÃ§u le vÃ©hicule avec une heure de retard. Cependant, je crois qu'Il est possible de dÃ©velopper un protocol au sein de l'organisation pour faire face Ã ce genre de situation. Je me suis faite dire par le commis Ã la rÃ©ception qu'il y aurait un retard de 10 minutes, alors que finalement cela a Ã©tÃ© une heure. Aussi le commis Ã la reception ne semblait pas Ãªtre intÃ©ressÃ© a aider plus que cela. On aurait dit qu'il ne faisait que le minimum. Par chance, j'ai demandÃ© Ã un employÃ© qui entrait au bureau si c'Ã©tait lui qui Ã©tait responsable pour le service U-haul.. Il m'a dit que non mais qu'il s'en occuperait. Ce dernier a agit promptement, digne de tout bon service Ã la clientÃ¨le comme il se doit. Je retournerais Ã leur bureau avec quand mÃªme une certaine vigilance.
I was charged 60 up front and when I brought it back I was charged another 60 even though I filled the gas back and made sure to clean up after use. No explanation just a whole pile of fees.
Very strange office for a rental pick-up (in the back where there are rows of office cubicles, in COVID times even more strange). Truck smelled of cigarette smoke, interior had garbage and dirt from prior user, damage to roof of truck that was not reported on the existing damage report. Post rental charge which which was not communicated.
Unfriendly and unhelpful. The poor staff do as much as they can. The owner wasn't shy to tell us it was our fault we had to wait 1 hour for him to show up to get the keys despite already cleared online. I had reserved a cargo van online to avoid contact with anyone. I arrived at 10:00 am at the location and could not find the van. There is a sign at their door saying "stationnement" on the left of the building and no vans to be found. I then had to enter the building. I asked the man behind the desk and he rolled his eyes and said "Charles is in charged and not here and doesn't know where the trucks are". I asked what I should do and then finally he told me they were all in another parking lot on the right of the building. So I found it, clicked on found my truck and then it said, get your keys. I had to go back and ask to get the keys where this time they said something that "your account is Green". And they could not give me the keys with Charles there. I had no idea what that meant and I called uhaul customer service because they refused to give me keys. Customer service told me that my account was active and it was odd that they were not giving me the keys. The man behind the uhaul desk said I would have to wait until Charles gets there which was about 10 minutes ago so it shouldnt be any longer. (Clearly hates his job) 1 hour later Charles shows up and quite aggressively says "it's an online reservation you had to do it on your own because your green". Again with this green I have no idea what they are saying and his employee would not give us the keys. I told them I called uhaul and that it was all good to give the keys but we had to wait 1 hour for him to show up. He dismissed me and blamed us somehow for not having keys? disappeared behind the desk where the lady finally gave us the keys. Needless to say, all of this was frustrating and the man was extremely rude.

I did the booking and truck pickup arrangements online as instructed, however when I got to the parking lot I had to submit all kind of details online to a chat service, the scan of my driver licenses was not working for whatever reason, and it took more than half an hour to get the whole thing approved. Very inefficient and frustrating.
One of the employees that we interacted with (in his office to sign the contract) was not wearing a mask. He was not at 2m distance from us and did not have a plexiglass shield between us either.

If you need a truck, it works. The truck was pretty smelly, it was difficult to find the building and the truck lot and it's mostly an admin centre. That said, once I found the place getting the truck all sorted was very easy.
When the customer service called to tell me my preferred location was not available and that he booked me in Ottawa. When I asked to be moved to a Quebec location I was told by the agent that I can just cross the bridge it's not like I need a passport. This response is unprofessional, extremely rude and off offensive. When I called back to speak to the manager she didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I was asked what did I say and that it was just automatic response from the agent.
I first reserved at a location that doesn't exist anymore : Krayani Auto 1682 Chemin Pink Gatineau, QC J9J3N7 The guy at this location had no idea what I was talking about. This location was not a U-haul location at all... Why U-Haul let the client reserve there online??? I called the customer service and they changed the pick-up site. The people at the second location : 277 Boul St Joseph Ste 200 Gatineau, QC J8Y3Y2 were not professional. I felt that I bothered them. When I said I didn't receive the confirmation on my phone, they answered that "it was not their problem". Very bad experience (and it was the second time at this place). U-Haul customer service and equipment were great but the intermediates (third persons) still were unpleasant and not effective.

Unfortunately !! You change the location for the pick up !! after Ichoose a trailer You should only give me The location who they have one !! Not chnaging it and just send a text with a link and note saying like CHANGE LOCATION SEE THE LINK !!
I'm not sure I would, I was promised a discount upon return. I was told to contact someone by the name of Charlie and they were going to reimburse me for returning the trailer to Ottawa as a favour to them. I called him and he's yet to return my call or speak of the reimbursement.

The hours were inconvenient e.g. not open on Friday afternoons. The staff were rude, making me wait 15 minutes then telling me they couldn't wait for me to take a phone call because, while I had been waiting, their closing hour (1pm) had arrived. Parking trailers is clearly just a money grab for them; they have no interest in serving customers. I wish there were alternatives to uhaul.
We reserved well in advance the moving van and moving covers. This location was chosen for us as an alternate to the original location. We received 3 phone calls asking if we were arriving for our 10 am reservation - starting at 9:55 am. Although we indicated to the employee we would be there shortly- there were 2 more calls asking where we were - we retrieved the van at 10:25 am Further to this - the moving covers that were reserved were not available and the employee did nothing to help rectify the situation. We were left calling another location and making an additional trip to pick up the covers that delayed our moving by 2 hours. The second location was incredible at providing excellent services and meeting our needs.
Horrible service! I have been billed way over than stated initially. Will never ever ever recommend to anybody. Actually, I'll tell everybody how I have been totaly scamed by you. I can't even access my bill or get in touch with you to understand why I have been bileld so much.
There was a lack of communication so you should improve that. Uhaul did not inform me that the pick up location had changed.
There was no one answering the phone on Sunday 12:30PM, the street of the location of the return address was closed off and under construction. I had to use Google Map to find a means to get there using the back streets. I discovered by trial and error the return address was a pay parking lot one back street over where cars were parked. I had to help 2 fellow Uhaul renters; one to find where to return his keys and the other to park his trailer between two cars (he was jack-knifed) and had to park in reverse my own 12' x 6' trailer in said parking lot. It tested my driver competencies.
