The trailer I rented had multiple cigarette butts inside and I had to ask to have them removed. The younger employee that was hooking up the trailer was very courteous and apologetic but his coworker, who was smoking a cigarette, was rude and sexist towards females. Upon return of my rental trailer, I was happy that the younger gentleman employee was working and he made returning the trailer comfortable (would have been a one star rating if it wasn't for this nice employee).Clarence N.
Pickup bed was still dirty from the previous renters hauling soil/dirt. Not a big deal but there was a Red Bull can in the bed. Other than that, everything was fine. All probably due to being understaffed.Mark L.

Attention to detail is important with time sensitive orders, such as renting moving equipment. I rented a van for 48 hours. However, I spent 9 1/2 hours on the phone trying to clear up a mistake a uhaul employee made. This mistake resulted in my card being charged an additional $482.75 on top of what was already on hold. The employee checked in another van as mine and because the odometer has a difference of over 1,400 miles I got charged for all of those miles. How this was not flagged and automatically corrected, or prevented in the first place is beyond me. I had the vehicle less than 20 hours by the time it was "returned" and in that time I somehow drove over 1,400 miles?? Of course I have to clear it up myself by getting bounced from one customer representative to the next, but not without being sent BACK to the teleprompt wait list. I spent the majority of my wasted time waiting on hold. My experience has been nothing but a nightmare. Not once has anyone even owned up to the mistake or apologized. If this poor customer service and complete inability to perform one's own job is the standard for uhaul then I will not be using your company in the future.David B.

I rent from UHaul quite often. Your Beaverton and Gearhart Oregon locations are excellent. Hillsboro only had 3 people working. Very poor customer service and did not get the trailer I reserved. It normally takes me 5 minutes to check in and get on the road, Hillsboro took 45 minutes even though I checked in online.Mike B.

I was overcharged for mileage I didn't use because the app wouldn't upload my poc of the actual mileage on the truck. When I tried to upload the pic , the app froze and I wasn't given the option of entering the correct mileage when I restarted the app.Brian E.
The employee working outside on the return equipment area was so rude, to start on he had head phones on and I really had to raise my voice to get his attention even tho he saw me there standing because i didn't know if I was just supposed to leave truck there. When I try asking him the questions all he will say was did you put gas back to the mark thats all you need, anything else I can't help you. He was also using foul language not towards anyone but talking to him self but he was doing it pretty loud that the customers can hear him. He got all upset because another customer got there to drop off a rental saying that there was no more room that where was he going to park it. But overall the workers in the desk where polite and friendly but me being a business owner know that it only takes one unprofessional employee to make a customer not come back again.Mitchel C.

Waited for 10 minutes to even be acknowledged, took a total of 45 minutes from arrival to departure to pick up a 5x8 open trailer. On check in, the sign says to pull in and wait. I waited 5 minutes before having to ask the guy installing a hitch on another customers car where I should leave the trailer. He got up and unhooked the trailer ... nobody from the office came out to check me in ... I just left. Customer service is obviously not a priority.DONALD P.
Pick up was filthy inside and reeked of cigarette smoke. U-Haul is clearly not cleaning units between rentals to ensure customer safety. Check-in policy of leaving the keys on the vehicle added to confusion of system going down. If keys would have been taken by person at the counter I would not have spent 90 minutes on hold, taken time out of my workday to come to the location and still receive another call asking for confirmation that I returned the vehicle two days ago. Employees need to go out and check the lot before assuming the vehicle has not been returned! I will never rent from this location again.PATRICIA AILEEN O.
The computers were down. The intake lady said there is no generator in the area where the servers reside. She had to do a lot of extra work but never seemed overwhelmed or stressed. She was pleasant and friendly. I'm sure folks were frustrated but she had a calming effect. I didn't think I would be able to pick up my online reserved cargo van but I did!Verginia B.
I had a great deal of difficulty with the web site when trying to make the reservation. It took over an hour of refreshing the screen and retyping my information before I could complete the reservation. The entire time, I was also on hold with the main reservation number (trying to get this resolved while the web site crashed over and over). The web site finally completed the reservation, so I hung up the phone. I only needed the tow dolly for an hour, but had to pay the full daily fee since there was no provision for local use. I would have appreciated a discount for the very short rental.PAUL W.

I'm not sure why you advertise $19.95 in town plus mileage and it cost me $50.00 I put 6 miles on the truck and put $5 of gas in the tank and it was $50 bucks. False advertising. That's a lot of fees $30.00?AMY K.
They didn't rent me the trailer since my tail light was not working. The rep told that they will reverse the rental. I asked for the receipt confirming the rental was reversed. She said that there is no way to do that but the rental will not happen. Still I got charged for it. Case no - 3128513. Please fix this ASAP.KISHORE B.
