I will be filing a complaint with U-Haul. The service on the front end involved calling me the day before my move and telling me that I had to pick up the truck in another location and this was completely unacceptable. I was greatly inconvenienced and I was not compensated for this change. Likewise the drop off location was also changed resulting in having me drive 100 miles out of my way. When I called to complain, the first customer service rep was extremely rude. Finally, when the truck was returned to the alternative location that u-haul chose without advance notice to me, we were told to just leave the keys in a drop box which we did. The truck was returned in pristine condition and all blankets were either folded or unused. The truck was swept and completely clean and we took pictures of the inside at drop off. Despite this, uhaul charged me nearly $200 for a cleaning fee and once again, failed to compensate me for the extra 100 mile plus drive to an alternative location. Honestly, I don't know how uhaul stays in business. The business practices are misleading and I will never rent from uhaul again. I will be filing a formal complaint.
