The truck was as clean as you could expect. Yes, there was a little dried mud on the driver's floor, but there always is in Maine in spring. I didn't have any problems with anything except the cell reception where the truck was parked. Fortunately there was guest WiFi at the building, so I took photos required by the U-Haul app and ran to the building to do the uploads, and then back to take more photos... If I were to recommend anything, it would be for a WiFi extender or a cell service signal booster so customers can easily use the app where the trucks are parked. Now that I've rented from there, I would just drive the truck over to the building next time so that I had WiFi in range where I was taking the pictures so I didn't have to run back and forth. I opened the door to the office at this location, and no one is wearing masks. I refused to go inside. I have high risk family members who cannot afford to get sick from covid. I handed the uhaul truck key to a friendly staffer who came outside, no mask. I did not receive a receipt nor confirmation that i have returned the truck. I picked up the truck with a 1/4 tank of gas. I misjudged when i filled the tank, so you folks got extra fual. The right thing for Uhaul to do is issue a credit for the extra fuel. Please advise if you intend to follow up on either of these issues.EDWARD H.
Past experiences with u-haul have been great. This experience not so well .Rental preformed well in handling , tires and trailer lighting . Very poor Drop off locations. drove over an hour to drop off location. Was supposed to be credited for one day ??Mitchell C.

The employee who accompanied me when I hooked up the trailer ignored the fact that the trailer had a broken power plug. I saw that the plug was missing a prong and showed it to him. He commented that the trailer was missing an extension plug, and said "it shouldn't be that way, but will be okay for now". I connected the plug to my car's trailer lights plug, and the employee walked away, saying "you're good to go". We never tested the lights before he walked away. Later on, after it got dark, I got stopped. I was shown that the lights didn't work, and was told I can't drive it like that. I went home and called Uhaul roadside assistance. This put my moving plans off for several hours. Roadside assistance eventually arrived and fixed the lights on the trailer and tested them. I returned the trailer the next day, and tried to use your checkout process with my phone, but it would not work properly and tour website kept giving an error message. Today, I see that Madison Automotive overcharged me. Cleaning fee? Really? I only moved a refrigerator, and am unaware of anything that would require a cleaning. Please provide photos of what was cleaned.Thomas K.

I wrote, in the left column, at length about how you baited (accepted a reservation) and switched (summarily changed it at the last moment) without my consent for my pickup. Well, ooops you did it again for my drop off. Again you added an hour to my drop off by changing the location. This is terrible business. Your survey is asking the wrong questions. Who gives a s#$t if the office where I pick up is clean if it's an hour away from where I need to be, and you advertise all these locations but it's a spin of the roulette wheel where your vehicle is despite you taking the time to schedule in a UHaul location that works for you. FYI, the truck worked well, the kid at the pick up was polite and thorough. And yet I have a bad taste in my mouth from this experience and will seek other options next time.Dean R.

I was told that by the man at the desk that I would be able to alter my mileage when I dropped off the vehicle. That wasn't true and I had to go back into the store and get the charge taken off of my account.MacKenzie F.

I wouldn't recommend them to a friend not because of them but because it is so far from where we live. I would improve your registration system. I would think in the day of computers and the ability to track inventory that the customer should be able to reserve equipment at the location they want. If it is not there then they should be able to know that at time of reservation. Not after it has been reserved and plans made find out that the reserved equipment is over an hour in the opposite direction.John E.

Upon arriving to pick up the trailer, confusion evolved regarding the agreed upon price. The glitch appeared to be with U Hauls computer system. It frustrated me to the point of considering cancelling rental of the trailer. Madison Automotive was very helpful resolving the problem.Sewell C.

The location was good but not the service from UHaul: 1 - trailer was not the size asked for 2 - price was not correct as confirmed on email 3 - no confirmation was received the day prior 4 - receipt was incorrect Pretty much every mistake that could be made was made.Michael P.
Truck was dirty still had food items on the floor including large pieces of frosted miniwheats, there was something sticky all over the cup holder area and just a ton of dirt on the floor in the passenger cab as well as the cargo area. The exterior of the truck hasn't seen a cleaning brush in a while either. There was damage all over the exterior of the truck looks like its everything but the lottery. The manager who I believe is also the owner is less than pleasant to deal with. I intentionally do not rent from this location because of poor experiance in the past however UHAUL had to change my original reservation to suit the companies needs. Theres also the fact that the manager altered my reservation having me return the truck to his location instead the one hat UHAUL requested that I return the truck too, now I have an extra $80+ charge on card which I'm patiently await to have the funds returned. Next time I'll drive out of my way to rent threw a different rental company. I'm very disappointed in UHAULDaniel G.
