Got charge for using a 2 wheel dollies that I never use it didn't have a zip tide to begin so they charge me for the use of it. And never used it i drive for a big moving company and we have about 4 dollies with us that are much nicer and lighter to use. Next time check for your self cause apparently there not doing there job when there checking a truck out.

Had a 7am 24/7 Online reservation for a 15' truck that I made 2 days before my pick up day. Arrived at 7:30am. Followed the online pickup instructions. Entered the provided code to get the truck key. Opened the box. NO KEY!!! Had to wait until 9 when the location opened to get my key. I was more than an hour late for my move. Location attendants tried to use the excuse that I entered the reservation online after they closed the night before which is BS and I have the reservation email to prove it!

Trailer still had trash and the guy hooking me up seemed to feel no need to try to clean it up. So needless to say, I had to do it myself before using the trailer.

Let's see. First, they had no record of my reservation and acted like I was making it up that I had made one several days before. Being treated like a liar when it was their computer system that messed up was not appreciated. And second, the trailer DISCONNECTED from the hitch within 2 miles of leaving the location. Fortunately, I was in a E-350 Cargo Van and was able to sustain having a 6 x 12 foot trailer slam into the back of my vehicle as I slowed down. An inexperienced driver might have panicked but I knew something was wrong when I felt the slack in pulling when I topped a low hill. Perhaps if the employee had spent more time hooking up the trailer instead of ignoring my confirmation number from my in-hand emailed confirmation. I also had to drive back to U-Haul to have the store confirm the hitch was not defective so I would not be blamed it it detached again. And Lastly, while I am at it, last year I paid to have a 7 wire plug kit installed to replace the existing 4-wire plug. Discovered later they just hooked up the original 4 wires and not the 3 others something I could have easily done myself... Since I didn't discover it for several months I figured it was to late to complain...

I have been renting from U-Haul for years and I'm beginning to see and not like the flaws in your system. I always do self checkout because I thought it would be a faster process but I couldn't be more wrong, I spend more time doing that than going inside. Only to find out all of the info that I have plugged in a million times, is not accurate or you just have to put it in all over again. I don't understand why you all continue to ask for the same info from the same person, ever time I come, I would think after 3 1/2 years they would have my company's info plugged into their system by now but it's not great. I usually spend 20+ minutes doing my own truck rental because you all have to have several emergency contacts, that's an inconvenience for me, again, I have been renting with y'all 3 1/2 years, I shouldn't have to go through this messy and unorganized process every single time I get a truck, your system should know my company by now. Overall my last 5 experiences with U-Haul have been poor.

During my mobile pickup process, the key was not in the lock box as I was told it would be. I had to wait on hold for 20 minutes to get help, until finally someone called me and told me to try and different box. Sure enough, whoever was in charge of putting the key in the box just didn't pay attention to their job and cost me 30 minutes of waiting in the rain. It's small things that can really make someone's experience bad, so it is crucial all details are perfected.

When I initially contacted uhaul, I was told that we'd be given a military discount for our trailer rental, which we have also received in the past. When we went to the store to pick up our rental, the girl handling our reservation was very rude and when I mentioned that we had a military discount she replied, No. Then she told me to wait outside the store. I watched her go to the manager outside who was working on his personal vehicle. He looked at me from across the parking lot and said, "No discount," in a very harsh loud tone with a very angry look on his face. I was horrified at being spoken to that way. I have never experienced this kind of treatment from a business. He did not have the decency to come and speak to me cordially, he yelled out in an angry tone instead. We left the facility feeling verbally mistreated. We did nothing to deserve this.

1. Just an observation is that it seems morale is low at this location. Who knows why? Overworked? 2. Poor data/IT system. My account is always impossible to locate on the computer and I've been paying for two storage units for two years. I've used trucks three times in two years and there is always a long delay getting checked in. I'm not blaming the employees— it may be time to change your IT provider. 3. Our windshield was so dirty it was a serious driving hazard. As we were returning the vehicle to UHaul, we were driving directly into the western sun and it was a very dangerous situation because of the dirty windshield. When we talked to an employee on duty , we were told “they are supposed to clean it.” We think a better response would have been “ I will talk to the cleaner about it and I regret you had the experience .” 4. We returned the vehicle after 5pm and could not locate the key drop box. We canvassed the front door and walked all over the lot looking for a place to leave the key. Finally, we locked it into the truck as we could not imagine UHaul not having an extra key. I was called about it and the manager was exasperated with me. He complained to me that he would have to call a locksmith. It is hard for me to imagine that this is the first time UHaul has had this experience. A pretty cheap and easy solution would be to have an extra key. A very cheap solution. In addition, how hard would it be to tell the customer when he signs the contract that there's a drop box on the door?
