Two bits of feedback: The very good staffer at the Natick MA site, Karen Dawson, was all alone there both in the morning and afternoon, unable to do more than quickly deal with customers and calls. Seemed extreme and unreasonable--if you want to keep good employees. The odometer reading was written in my contract as "Full," but when I looked at it shortly after leaving, it was below "F" on the gauge. I called to tell them and got the offsite answering service, because the Natick site was too busy, and I didn't get to discuss it with the person who helped me (Karen Dawson) until I returned the vehicle; but she couldn't do anything for me at that point, so I was out $3-4 or so after filling it again to Full. Lesson learned about checking the gauge before driving off.

I booked online and still had to stand in line for almost 45 minutes after my scheduled rental time I could not drive van away when I received the keys as it was too tightly parked between two other UHaul vans. Young Lady at counter very helpful moving vehicles so we could get van out Upon return there was a bit of delay checking vehicles back in I know it was a Sunday but it was busy and should be staffed accordingly What’s the point in booking on line if you still have to wait almost 45 minutes when you arrive at your scheduled time?

I reserved a trailer early in the week for 9am pickup on a Saturday. I received a call 45 minutes before I was supposed to pick up the trailer saying that they did not have the equipment available. This left me scrambling and calling other uhaul locations last minute to try to find a trailer for my move. I finally had to call back to the original location to rent a truck, which was far more expensive. About two hours after renting the truck for more money, I received a call from the original uhaul location stating that they now had the trailer available. Would not recommend this location.

I was supposed to pick up my cargo van in Framingham but on arrival the van wasn't there. They called the previous renter and that person said they wouldn't bring it back. I had to have my rental transferred to Natick and then spend more time going there. After being late 30 min I was able to get to Natick to get a van. Very frustrating that the last customer just didnt bring it back and impacted my needs.

My U-Haul’s engine stalled out on the highway. I tried calling the U-Haul roadside assistance line. It took OVER 45 MINUTES to reach someone. During this time, the state police arrived and called a heavy duty tow truck as we weren’t in a safe location and the officer wasn’t going to wait for a U-Haul rep to answer. When they finally answered the phone, the representative seemed upset that the police had called to have it towed and even asked if I could have the tow cancelled! She was of literally no assistance, other than offering to call us an Uber (which she quickly followed up with, “oh it looks like Uber is down right now.” She took down my info and said they’d be in touch. The tow arrived and wouldn’t tow it back to the U-Haul location. So, he took it to his impound lot and said he’d bill U-Haul. 2-3 hours later, I received a call from U-Haul asking if I was still on the highway and if I needed an Uber... wish I was making this up! The next day, I called my local U-Haul to make sure everything was okay on my end and to actually ask for a refund. The guy said he’d have his manager call me (didn’t happen). Over the next couple days, I would receive automated texts asking me to return my U-Haul equipment. Each text was shortly followed by an $86 charge on my card. Each time, I would call U-Haul and wait 5-15 minutes per call until I would finally reach someone - each representative was new to my case and I had to explain everything from the start. Often times, I was told I had to speak to the manager of the U-Haul I rented from. The one that never called me back. Eventually, I was forced to open a “customer action file,” which required the manager to “resolve the issue.” He did finally call me after about a day and refunded the $86 charges as well as the original rental cost. I was finally satisfied, until I received another $86 charge and went through the calling process again and gave the rep my action file number. She said it didn’t exist... the next day, I got a call from someone else at the local U-Haul, inquiring about my rental. I told him the story and he quickly stopped any charges and apologized. The end? No. Yesterday, I received the e-mail asking for a review. I looked and said, “nah, they refunded me. I’ll leave it be.” BUT, THEN... I received another e-mail... a receipt saying $896 would be charged to my credit card. Then, I frantically check my account and noticed another $300 charge is pending. So, here we are. This has taken hours of my time and is now potentially costing my $1000. I just bought a house and don’t have the luxury of having enough funds to allow some unorganized company to take my money whenever they feel like it. Calling my lawyer in the morning, then maybe the news. U-Haul are really a bunch of thieves. I would not recommend them.

My rental experience was awful with this location I booked my rental in advance and even received a confirmation email saying it was ready and confirmed I get to the location a few minutes earlier than my reservation was reserved for and I was told they over booked. I never received a call, text or email notifying me. The manager didn’t care and because of this I was forced to get a way smaller truck and it made the trips far more work. I would never return to this location and I strongly wouldn’t recommend it. The manager wasn’t even accommodating.

I dropped off my rental and had some unused wrapping paper that the woman said I could just lock in the cab and they will check it in in the morning it is labeled Uhaul over the wrapping paper box has a barcode but I can’t find my receipt and they refuse to credit me for the wrapping paper I left with them. I plan on disputing the charge on my credit card

Natick Location was fast efficient. Mentioned I might have to pay a charge for a different drop off location. I complained given what I mentioned earlier. Was told the drop off charge would be waived. While waiting another customer said they had experienced they same issue 2 months earlier and complained. It should not be an issue at all. When a customer requests a drop off location online that should be enough, but if the pick_up location or U-haul needs to change it for some reason the least they can do is ask for a preferred drop-off rather than “just picking one.”

Absolutely terrible. I rented a 17' truck and received confirmation they had it but ended up getting a much smaller one. We had to make 3 trips to finish moving. Longest move ever.

Slow check in as a result of computers running slow. Could not keep for an additional day even through there was availability. No one answers the 1800 number. This is a corporate issue not a local issue the people in Natick were great despite the lack of tools they had to do their job.
