I appreciate them for calling me before they charged my card for some of the tasks that missed over. Think I found a new uhaul store. Usually use the location in Beaumont but they have terrible service. Having a degree in customer service/hospitality it was great to see them go above and beyond to make sure that I didn't get any extra charges. If this is common practice for this location, other businesses should seek out their seek level. Also this is family owned and operated, and having a business myself, it is always my pleasure to see my money feeding families and acting lives rather than interacting with employees who are there just for their check. The truck I reserved turned out to be too small. The gentleman I spoke to helped me get a bigger truck the day of my move. He was very professional and very nice. He went out if his way to make the stressful situation of moving a little less stressful. I really appreciated that. Thank you!JUAN P.
My reservation was changed to this location. Went to get it and were unable to do the online check in. I called the gentleman there several times and he basically yelled at me to hit the Pick up button on the app. That was all he could tell me. I finally located a 1-800 number and 20 minutes later he could not help me and had to transfer me to someone else. The next person also took about 15 minutes but figured out that the reservation was switched, as I had been notified, but not â€œinternallyâ€ (?). She fixed it and we finally were able to access the Pick up button.Brody B.

I'm writing my review because I was in the store waiting to rent when the previous renter that made her review was absolutely out of line. When ever the attendant Justin tried to explain to her that he could not guarantee uhaul would not move the reservation when she wanted it on a Sunday and it was mid week when she was making the reservation. Her issue is the truck is on your drive now. Justin tried to explain that reservations are guaranteed but it may get moved because trucks come in and out everyday and just because there was a truck on his drive on a Thursday it does not mean it will be there on a Sunday. Why she said he offered to let her take it Saturday is beyond me because he told her he was not open on Saturday but he could set the Key up in the self checkout box on Friday. He was telling her that another reservation could pick it up on Saturday even though she has a reservation for Sunday and if she got moved and was unhappy she needed to call corporate uhaul. Its amazing how customers bash a small business because of their ignorance and believe me the previous renter was an obnoxious B I was there and witnessed everything. Justin and the whole Young family have been in business over 50 years and they take pride in how they operate the business and treat customers. The young man running the counter was an absolute moron. I had to pick up a medium sized truck on Sunday, turns out he only had a large. No big deal, I told him I'll pay the difference, He tells me I'll have to pick it up Saturday because he's closed on Sundays, but with that I'll have to be charged an extra day. I asked him why the coded boxes for after hours pickup and the key drop off box were around the corner of the building. He tried his best to overcome his lie and proceeded to tell me it was easier and encourages me to look at other U-Hauls open on Sunday.(the process is a breeze, it took him 5 extra mins) I let him know that that I wouldn't be driving far just to pay additional mileage when there was a U-Haul place right next to the house. In fact, I literally only put 2 1/2 miles on the truck and it's additional 0.79 cents per mile on top of your truck fees and gas. He checked me out and told me *after he gave me my debit card back* that U-Hall could potentially change my pick up location up to an hour before my appointment time to pick it up to another town. I told him that would be absolutely crazy because the truck that I'm reserving was parked right in front of me. I let him know that I would be upset about being charged extra unnecessary miles and needing to stay on track because of other people's busy schedules... He said â€œIt's not my fault, Corporate likes to do that to peopleâ€ and advised me to call corporate to â€œdeal with themâ€. I wish I recorded the whole thing for comical purposes because he looked and sounded stoned through the whole thing. He was incredibly unprofessional and he is not an asset to your company. He absolutely does not know how communicate in the customer service industry. I wouldn't want my employee turning away business because they're being lazy and don't want to complete a couple more steps on the computer or tell them after the fact that your planned out day could go completely different, including other people's very busy days while not wanting to leave a simple note asking corporate to please not change the reservation at the last minute. Honestly, I feel like that you can do better, a lot better. Hire a Highschool Senior that needs gas money for their car to impress the lady's ... anything. His appearance, presence and zero professionalism also goes along with the lack of knowledge and or just being lazy. Business is business and that's not how it should be run. I know ill be telling all of my real estate friends to not waste there time until there is someone able to run the shop.Christy E.
