This location is the closest and cost effective for me. But seldom do they have what I need at the time I need it. Usually they refer me to another site which won't work because then I have to pay the extra mileage which is significant since this is a rural location. Usually the site they refer me to is 10-25 miles away. I initially tried to rent it on Saturday which was the day before.. They told me it was booked and not available only to find out that the renter cancelled and it was available and no one bothered to call me. Overall the whole process needs overhauled. The paper work is excessive and the process is inefficient and burdensome. Even the rental agents think so. This past year U Haul has lost my business on 3 separate occasions. While I was in line they lost another customers business. Here is a summary of my experience: the units are in fair condition, the process is poor, the experience is poor.

I did the express check in online but the location went back over everything. While I don’t mind it defeated the purpose of express check in. Plus the gentleman (nice as he was) did not know how to use the system. Check in took more than 30mins...I’d have hate to see what that would have been if I hadn’t already entered the information for him

I reserved the truck online and was not aware until I dropped it back off, that if I would have returned it to the Orrville location, it would have cost me a fraction of what I was charged, I called UHaul and talked to a woman who said she would have a district manager call me. Nobody ever contacted me. This was a total scam to charge 3 times as much as you should have. I will never rent a UHaul again and will discourage everybody I know from doing so by warning them in person as well as using social media. VERY VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

The UHaul computer is a mess, it took almost an hour to get checked in and I had already used the online check in. The clerk had to call the U Haul number to get it worked out

unit was not clean or not as clean as other uhaul trucks I have rented and my contract had the incorrect mileage on it so there was an issue at check out as to the proper mileage charge but was rectified before I left. the truck drove good and seemed to be in good working order

The particular truck we had in our possession was not equipped with a ramp. The items we were hauling were large and heavy, and we would not have been able to use the truck at all, except a friend was able to loan us a ramp, so that we were able to make it work!

First off, our reservation got changed again. Not only did the location change, bur the size of our trailer was changed fro 5 x 8 to 6 x 12. We purposely rented a smaller trailer this time because we had less stuff to move. For some reason, even though I selected text as my form of preferred communication, the change about the location was sent via text, while the information about the trailer was sent via email, which I did not see until we got to the location and realized that they did not have any 5 x 8 trailers on the lot. If you are going to have me select a form of communication then that form of communication should be used to communicate everything, or someone should call with information with a change such as the trailer size. While I did only pay the rate for the 5 x 8 trailer, having the 6 x 12 trailer made packing more difficult as we planned on a smaller trailer and had to find extra stuff to move that we weren't planning to take with us just to pack the trailer tightly enough. The service at this location was also terrible! The agent really didn't know what they were doing and weren't even able to print us out a receipt so we had to take a picture of it. We were also supposed to get a dozen furniture pads, which the location apparently did not have and we did not find that out until after we had paid and gotten the trailer hooked up. We had to call to find a different location to pick up the furniture pads. All told, it took 2 hours for us to pick up this trailer, which was the wrong size, and the furniture pads, which delayed packing of the trailer and caused us to leave on a 14.5 hour drive much later than we had intended. Had we known that the advertised 5 x 8 trailer was not available anywhere in the Wooster area, we would have just rented a 6 x 12 trailer from Warhorse Storage where we knew we would get great service instead of getting terrible service from the Ace Hardware location and having to pick up the furniture pads from Warhorse anyway. IF a TRAILER SIZE is NOT AVAILABLE in an area OR there is DOUBT that it will be available, PLEASE DON'T advertise it as AVAILABLE on your WEBSITE! There was a reason we specifically chose that trailer size. Now we will wait and see if we get our $50 credit in a timely manner for the inconvenience of our experience. An inconvenience which I'm not even sure a $50 credit can rectify.

I was charged for a 3 day rental because I drove it across state lines even though it was only 120 miles. The drive took me a little over 2 hours and I returned the truck that same evening. The customer service rep at the return location tried to help but said there was nothing she could do because it was "policy". 1) What kind of arbitrary and nonsensical policy is it to randomly charge 3 days no matter what because state lines were crossed 2) why was I not informed of this on the webpage before placing my order 3) what can be done in my favor as far as compensation goes. An 8hr rental was somehow charged as a 3 day rental. This is a shady business practice and shameful in general. Please provide a response. Lewis S. Phillips
