The Uhaul phone app was problematic when picking up the vehicle (took us 20 min to get the vehicle keys), and the app absolutely did not work when returning the vehicle. We tried phoning, were on hold for ten minutes, then dropped the keys in the lockbox and left. That night we spent a couple hours on hold and talking to Uhaul to advise that we returned the vehicle and to explain all the issues with the app - and we had several issues that they could not defend or fix. Also, when we picked up the van it had receipts from the last user - so we know it wasn't cleaned. In future I will only do counter service. We rented another vehicle simultaneously using counter service at JTM Automotive, Port Coquitlam - that is my favourite Uhaul. Quick, efficient, and the guy is great.Erik M.

My experience with U-Haul at shop n go variety was excellent.. Bonnie the staff member I worked with was efficient and friendly. She carried the dolly I needed ,to the truck and went over the condition of the van and odometer and made sure I understood the calculation for the mileage. It was very handy location and Bonnie was extremely helpful, who ensured I had everything needed to begin my move Thanks Bonnie for being so k8nd and helpful LynnLYNN D.
The place is too small. There's no parking nearby. At first I thought that I was in the wrong place because it's a convenient store .Loi N.
Could not use Android app to take photos: camera would open but the app would not get the photos taken by the app. This is Pixel 3. Ended up using my girlfriend's ios app. Then I noticed that if I were using mobile browser on my Pixel 3 it worked. Otherwise, smooth experience.Andriy B.
I don't worst experience compare to my previous u haul rentals, during drop off app could not detect my location, not sure why, I asked for help from counter , they for they will charge extra 20 dollars, that was surprise, later she agreed to help after too much rants, I would not recommend this pick up to anyone,. There was lots of confusion over pick up and drop off. When I selected â€˜pick up my truck' I was told to go in the store but the store was closed. Dropping off the truck I was not given the code for the drop box. This was very frustrating and resulted in spending 45 minutes to deal with the problem on the phobeJennifer H.
Car was dirty, smelling very strong farm & produce fertilizer, all my items got dirty. I and my wife had to use some mask to breath. I had no choice to cancel or to use another car. the owner wanted imaginary picture and was asking for my iPhone set!!!Massoud J.
Terrible. A 24 hr rental is classified as 4 hrs. I was hassled and bothered again and again that it is only a 4 hrs rental, even though it's suppose to be a 24 hr rental. Very confusing. This was the worst experience I ever had. The truck was very dirty and stunk. Dog hair every where. I had to vacuum it and spray febreze because the smell was unbearable. The gas tank had only 1/3. We started driving to Chilliwack BC, and when while I was poring gas, I notice that the gasoline when all to the ground. The hose under the truck was broken. We phone the 1-800 number and we got a person that said a mechanic would come in 20-30 minutes. We waited and called again, and she said that they have no mechanic available for 2 hours and 40 minutes. We tried calling another locations and nobody had any equipment available. So I decided to go and get duck tape the the broken hose so we could get some gas and go on our way. While we where driving to our destination we got another call from this very friendly lady with a mechanic on the nother line. They wanted us to drive 4 extra exit to take the truck to his shop. We where already late and we said to come and fix it at our destination and he said no because he was busy, We said Saturday and he said he could because he has a wedding. So to finish the story, we drove the whole weekend with a broken truck because your company did nothing to solve the problem. I will definitely do not rent a truck from your company ever again and I will try to pass over my experience so nobody has to go thru this issue ever. Terrible unit, terrible service.Ernesto S.

The U-Haul staff put higher than actual readings of the gas in the contract and then got into an argument over it. They insisted on signing the contract before seeing and inspecting the cargo van saying it is â€œmore convenientâ€. The cargo van didn't have the gas tank cap. When I discovered that they suggested buying a cap somewhere myself and I ended up using a cap from my car.ALEX G.
