Dillion was exceptional! I needed a truck to pick up a pool from Walmart. He needed the truck back by 4:30 and trusted that I would be back on time. And I was! My displeasure had very little to do with the location but the u-haul experience was awful. My only real complaint with this location is the hours which are 10-4:30 which means I cannot swing by before or after I go to work. The overall u-haul experience was beyond terrible. I made a reservation with a preferred pick up location got an email confirmation with that location. Email says I will get a phone call the night before pickup, that never happens. I have an 8am scheduled pickup but the vehicle I'm using to pickup went in for an oil change that ended up taking hours, I call customer support as soon as I realize I'm going to be late picking up, they tell me after 8 I'm better off just making a new reservation for the next day. I'm leaving town the next day early in the morning and ask if I can just speak to the local store and let them know I'm coming, just running late. Customer service tells me I cannot contact the store directly contacting scheduling is the only way to accomplish this and transfers me, scheduling received a cold transfer and tried again to schedule me brand new for the next day. After hold times, Repeatedly explaining myself, and just basically getting tossed through the system I'd wasted two precious hours on moving day to accomplish nothing, at roughly 3:30 in the afternoon I finally just gave up and decided to drive to the local pickup location and hope for the best. After waiting over 30 mins in line it was after 4pm and this location moana/s. Virginia says they don't have the dolly and I was moved to a location across town for pickup, I was not notified of this change, no email, no phone call. NOTHING to indicate that I needed to drive to the opposite side of town during rush hour traffic, oh and by the way the other location closes at 4:30. By the time they get all of this figured out at the moana/Virginia shop it's 4:20 in the afternoon and they can't even guarantee me that the 4th street shop has my dolly!! So off I go trying to make it across town before they close, I call the 4th street shop and beg them to stay just 5 mins late and am told no, it's not their fault and it's not fair for uhaul customers to always ask them to stay late, probably cause uhaul is terrible and regularly changes pickup locations on people without notifying them?!? By some miracle of good lights and speed I make it there at 4:30 exactly and luckily was able to get my dolly. But it took another 30+ mins to get through all the paperwork, and I had already entered all my info online to â€œskip the lineâ€. To put everything in perspective, we also rented a Penske moving truck and flat bed car trailer, we reserved online, got a call back a couple hours after making the reservation confirming everything and asking if we needed to add anyone else to the reservation. On the day we picked that truck up we were also running late, we called the store directly, the phone number for the store actually went to the people in the local store, and in under 5 mins they were able to tell me it wasn't a big deal as long as I arrive that day. Got the the location I had selected in the Penske website my truck was there already hooked up to the trailer, I walked in, signed papers and walked out in under 7 mins, this is the way everyone should do business you could learn a lot from Penske. If any other company in Reno rented car dollies to pull with a personal vehicle, I wouldn't have used uhaul but you have a monopoly there for now. Long story short I will NEVER again use uhaul, this is my second terrible experience. I will tell everyone that listens just how bad this experience was to save them the frustration too. Moving is already hard, uhaul just adds to the stress.Elysia N.
Our pickup reservation said to pick up at a different location. When we got there, we were told to go to this location. When we dropped off, there was confusion between the two locations about which one we were supposed to drop off at. Overall, Uhaul's digital systems seem outdated and easy to mess up.Jeremy K.
Person working at storage location stated she did not have moving blankets. I preordered and prepaid for blankets. She told me to go to a different uhaul location to get blankets. I explained to her that I did not have time. Movers were at my house and I had to get back quickly. I was paying them by the hour. I asked if she had prior knowledge of my reservation and the accessories I requested. She said she got it 2 days ago. She didn't look at it and check if all accessories were available. She did not apologize. She was not helpful. She indicated that the truck had 5/8 tank of gas. When I started the truck, the gas indicator stopped at 1/2 tank. After her attitude and lCk of customer service, I did not bring this to her attention. I didn't have time to have another conversation with her. This was a very disappointing experience. My drop-off experience at another storage facility was just as frustrating. I will never use uhaul again.Ruth D.

I was charged $33.25 for fuel. When I picked up the rental truck it only had Â¾ of a tank of fuel in it. I returned the rental truck with more than Â¾ a tank of fuel in it. Please refund the amount of $33.25 to my card. To improve for the next customer: Rent vehicles with full tank of gas and do not over charge customer. Clean vehicles before renting them. It took about an hour to pick up the truck with the customer contact less service. Streamline the time it takes to pick up a rental.Eric D.

The truck had mud on the windshield and greasy fingerprints on the door. I tried to upload photos of the truck but the app just spun for a few minutes and never uploaded the photos. When I tried to go back the app completed the pick up process and I was unable to note the condition of the truck.Mark L.

My original contract was at the S. Virginia store in Reno NV. I was notified on Jan 15 that there was a problem with my order. I was told to go the Carson City store to p[ick up the trailer as they did not have any on site. Upon reaching Carson City I was advised that they did not have the trailer. At first I was going to go to Penske because of the fiasco, then the manager and one assistant found a trailer back in Reno. This was very aggravteing and a major disappointment.. This location was not the location where the original reservation was made. Personnel at both locations were courteous and helpful, but I was bounced to the 4th Street location because the truck I had reserved at the original location simply did not exist there. The problem is with online booking, scheduling , and dispatch and it allows far too many multiple bookings for the same truck. This not only shortened the time I had to use the truck, but I had to drive further (with additional cost)--Not Acceptable.ROSS ALLEN S.
