There was definitely a communication/ language barrier.the address was not clearly marked or the U-Haul sign it wasn't clearly signed so you could find the location ..the yard in which you drove through to pick up the item was full of garbage nails tires and it was a very unkept yard and felt dangerous to go into.. And the trailer was not clean However, we had pre-booked in advance and took time off work so it was a necessary item to pick up regardless of all the problems that went on. When I spoke with Alberta head office on the phone , they were absolutely fantastic and made the transition better but this particular location and the location that I drove to originally to rebook was full of language, barriers, understanding, and communication problems . to pick up at this location we ran into extremely language, barrier communication and an understanding of how to conduct proper business. A guy pointed to another and made my brother in law follow him to the yard where he pointed at somebody else spoken his language, and then the other person spoke to my brother-in-law.. There were several people there did not speak English. I really appreciate office in Alberta and I really appreciated the head office in BC when I needed to deal with the drop off. And I'm referring to the people I spoke to on the phone. They were super helpful and super knowledgeable. And no language barrier Clean clear, lots and clear signage and communication with Locations that can speak English clearly and understand English clearly.

Better location. The truck was obstructed and took 45 mins to receive it. Truck had no A/C.
Muhammad ALocation is hard to find, and in the back of a trucking yard. Very poor communication. U-Haul customer service team is extremely rude and not accommodating. I booked a one way, pick up close to my work, U-Haul tells me I have to pick up an hour away. So they booked me for a in town instead. When I picked up the dealer told me it was a one way trailer. When I called customer service to see if I could drop in Edmonton the customer service was extremely rude, told me it would be an additional $180 to drop in Edmonton. I explained to him the trailer was not road worthy, and he didn't care. Told me too bad. He told me I need to return the trailer to Calgary and do a max speed of 55 KMH on the highway. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM U-HAUL AGAIN!!!!!!

Michael BPrint out instructions for after hours drop off on the receipt. Location should be accessible after hours by customer or the location on property outside gate out of the way of the traffic should be acceptable and no customer should be called or requested to move vehicle an hour later by the drop off location. Drop off location was attempting to phish for information from customer and wanted customer to return to location to move equipment inside their property location, drop off location was trying to use roadside assistance to have equipment moved inside their property otherwise.
