I have had the worst experience with Uhaul yet again. After the horrible experience I encountered the first time, I stupidly agreed to give Uhaul another chance. Moving itself is a stressful situation, but both of these times my experience with Uhaul made it 100 times worse. First, I show up first thing yesterday morning to pick up the Uhaul for my 9AM reservation and yet again I was told that the 15 ft. truck that I reserved was not ready because it wasn't even at the location yet. I understand that things happen, but this wasn't the first time. Why have "reservation guarantees" and have people depend on that, if that is never the case. It's super frustrating and a waste of time and money to have people help me move at a certain time when I don't show up with the truck until an hour or so later. We finally received a call and drove away in the Uhaul just before 10 AM. Upon returning the Uhaul my husband wasted another 30 minutes of his time because the employees at the Roseville Michigan Uhaul location have no idea how to do their job, and yet the issue was still incorrect and unresolved. After my troubles last time I was issued a $50 certificate to use towards any uhaul rental or purchase (which is the only reason why I even considered renting from Uhaul on this occasion). Upon trying to use this $50 certificate (Number: 0B768EC0), my total that I should have been charged is only $41.66, but the receipt that I have which shows the net paid today and the amount currently pending from my bank account is $91.66. I've also got 2 additional pending charges from uhaul for $93.76. I check the certificate number, and it now says its $0, but I don't see where the $50 was actually credited towards the most recent uhaul rental. These two experiences with Uhaul have been so beyond frustrating and more stressful and annoying at a time in life where nobody needs this extra bullshit. I will be sharing my horrible experiences with anyone and everyone. I want to make sure that I am being issued a refund of $50 for the reservation guarantee and that I am being credited for the $50 certificate that I used. If I need to I will dispute the charge of $91.66 with my bank, because I did not authorize that amount to be taken from my account. Colette Jenkins

Man at counter was inappropriate and asked a lot of personal questions. Made me uncomfortable. Truck was dirty. Visor was broken.

I was charged two rental fees and insurance fees because I returned the truck 90 minutes later than expected. I was asked casually when I would be returning the truck. It was never explained that if I failed to return it by that estimated time, that I would be charged a second rental and insurance fee. The truck was picked up and returned on sat oct 24th. I talked to the gentlemen at the desk and someone at the customer service phone number. I felt this second charge was unfairly applied with explanation. The contract states that Returning the equipment after the agreed upon time â€œmay result in additional chargesâ€. It does not state clearly what the charges would be and no one informed me of this. I felt this double charge was very dishonest and charges for a late return should be clearly stated to the customer.
Appeared to be only one employee at the time. He did great but was busy.
I originally set up a 6:30 pick up the Sunday before. But ended up calling uhal, and being on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get ahold of the manager. After 45 minutes, the young lady reset the appointment for 9am. That morning. I went back, they had the truck but not the rest of the equipment I needed. So I cancelled and rescheduled for the following Saturday. This was not helpful to my time frame. Disappointed.
Better rates and if they're going to charge your card for being late make sure you are aware of it first.... they also need a better Grace. When moving everything changes a lot
The tire sensor fault light was on, but they told me it was ok to drive. The only reason I don't like this location is because it is so close to the exit ramp of the freeway. The cars come off the freeway and it is so close to the parking lot of Uhaul that everytime I feel like I'm going to get in an accident. Service is great though.
Lots of poor communication and way to expressive
The jack for the trailer was barely usable and poorly maintained. No wiring harness and was told to take one off another trailer and there was wasn't any on the other trailers. This just caused more of a delay in getting the trailer. Poor customer service.
Maybe it's the social distancing, I don't know but the customer service was very cold. Then when we came to return the equipment at 6:45pm, their Agent told us we were late...... Excuse me but you close at 7pm.

As a retired Detroit police officer, it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed trying to pull into this location. The entrance is right at the exit ramp from I-94 east to Gratiot Avenue. You literally have to stop in a moving lane on Gratiot to wait for traffic coming off of I-94 at a high rate of speed to turn right into the entrance. UHAUL will wait until someone is injured, get their lawyers, through their hands up in the air like they didn't know this location is a dangerous SAFETY hazard. I'm sure they know this because the proprietor told me many customers had complained about the location. This location should be closed.
Overall experience with U-haul was a disaster. The original rental location was not open when and had no trucks on my scheduled rental day. I had to go to a different location to get a truck. I will never recommend u-haul to anyone.

The owner bitched about a mask, yet his buddies were in the atore without them. Also, he expected me to â€œgo find the equipment and hook it upâ€ other locations have a person go out with you. Lazy.

5x8 trailer is only 4'4" wide my item didn't fit in it
The gentleman that helped me was excellent and drop off was quick and efficient, I will make a comment on the safety of entering this location. When first arriving i noticed that there was an entrance to your lot, off the JC Penney parking lot that was intentionally blocked/closed off, Your location is situated right at the end of a EB I-94 exit, you literally have to cross through the continuous flow exit lane while coming to a stop to turn into the parking lot, from the freeway exit lane, Entry into the lot could be made much safer by opening the side entrance off the JC Penney lot
As always, the staff here are very polite and helpful. The equipment is run down and beat up but that is not of their doing.
