The van I had checked out was erroneously checked out to another customer while I had it - the vehicle number was wrong on the other customer's contract. I was hugely over charged, expected to pay for the miles other people used on the vehicle I returned after I had returned it! 900 miles rather than the 100 miles I used!!! Protest filed with the company.

Give the information on returning the equipment after closure when picking up the equipment. I rented a trailer for 6 hrs (6 pm to 12 midnight) and returned the trailer around 10.30 pm. Received notice from you at 11:30 asking to take a photo of the return etc. I had already returned it so I wasn’t going back to take a photo. Other than that I will return for any rental I need.

I would only refer friends and family if there are less than 5’ feet tall. I reserved the truck on-line. When I walked into the location I was welcomed and greeted by staff Friday, October 11, 2019 at 4p. The service I received was “superb”. He explained everything about the contract and made sure I had the necessary materials/supplies needed for my rentals. When I returned the rental, Oct 12th, approximately 3pm, was was greeted by a member of your staff with dreads. This young man was very professional, courteous and friendly and inquired about “how was the rental and did I have any concerns or issues with the truck. WOW..........Thank you U-Haul, the two staff members I encountered was “Superb”. NO COMPLAINTS from me. I have only good things to say about my experience. I rate my UHaul experience on Oct 11th & 12th with 5 Stars Highest amount of stars on the chart. Keep you the EXCELLENT work. I wish I remembered the two African American males name. Please tell them I appreciated and thank them for the “HIGH” level of service I received. Now.......about the truck I rented. It was the most uncomfortable drive ever. I’m 5’10” tall, Medium Built. There was “NO” leg room for the driver side. I had to stop driving, get out of the truck and stretch my legs before getting to my destination (due to I was getting “CRAMPS” in my legs). My suggestion: UHAUL needs to consider offering trucks for individuals that are over 5 feet tall. Although, I received excellent counter service. However, because of the ”NO” leg room for the driver, I would go to another Rental Company to seek a truck with leg room for the driver. Thank you for allowing me to. rate my Rental experience.

I would like to file a complaint and request reimbursement for overcharge and U-Haul’s $50 Reservation Guarantee. On September 16, 2016, I reserved a 26’ truck for September 28 at 8:00 for a ten hour rental period. Reservation was with an estimate for approximately $70. I also reserved a dolly and two packs of moving pads and an estimate of 11 miles. The reservation was for U-Haul Moving & Storage at Florin Rd and it was U-Haul Truck Share 24/7. On September 28, I got to the U-Haul business at 08:10. I logged in into my online account but was unable to complete the pick-up via online as your system was not processing the verification. I attempted chatting with your customer service but no one was there to respond. After attempting this for over ten minutes, I went inside and completed the pickup with a live person. I did not receive the truck that was reserved for me but another 26’ truck, which was fine. The paperwork they issued me showed an estimate of $103.82. The person assisting did not walk me around the truck nor did he open the back to see if everything is in order. The mileage they wrote on my paperwork was 40094.0. The actual mileage was 400094.1. Not a big difference and, at the time, I did not mind as I already wasted 35 minutes of my moving time. I left the lot at 8:45. The reason I am asking for the $50 Reservation guarantee at this point is because they place was out of moving pads. They spun it in a positive tone as me saving $10 on my rental but what I really wanted was the pads. I then canceled the dolly since you could not provide the pads. I returned the truck at 5 PM that day, an hour earlier than my contract expired. I went inside and was told that the computers were down and they would not be able to process my return. The gentleman assisting me said that I should write down my mileage and he would process the return tomorrow and email me the receipt. I wrote my mileage down, 40109.3. With the incorrect start mileage, my trip was 15.3 miles. With the correct start mileage, it was 15.2. On Sunday, September 29, at 15:05, I received an email from U-Haul with the receipt. The email was from 710077_GM@uhaul.com. The receipt amount was $103.44 with the ending mileage of 40143.7. That is a difference of 34.4 miles or $37.50! The email stated to email back if there are any questions or concerns with the invoice. I emailed 710077_GM@uhaul.com that same day at 16:34 and then did a follow-up on Tuesday at 10:09 and got no response. For this part, I would like to get a refund on my credit card for the difference of $37.50 plus whatever appropriate fees and taxes as my credit card was charged $103.44. It cleared my credit card on September 28, 2019.

The service representative was courteous and excellent. The store was clean. The vehicle was nearly brand new. However, Your "new" website, over a full year after its rollout, is still a steaming pile of cowshit. PLEASE, uhaul hire some competent web designers, or just revert to your old website that actually FUNCTIONS. I took images of my license for the reservation and filled out ALL input forms on the site (and double and triple checked that I did it correctly unlike the stereotypical complaining customer) and every time i clicked "Continue to Checkout" it displayed the orange dots forming a circle in the center of a page before ceasing as if nothing happened. Yeah, that's cool you made the site look less like a webpage from the year 2001 and more like a smartphone app, but what is the point in having newer fancy graphics if nothing works?! At the very least, there should be some sort of link ON EVERY INDIVIDUAL PAGE of your garbage site to report technical problems because they're everywhere; Your customers have to deal with them, your employees have to deal with them, and NO ONE is going to change it until you provide some form of feedback other than this after-the-fact survey. I promise you, Uhaul, that if your website doesnt function for my next move in three months, I'm just giving my money to Budget instead. Get to work.
