I've been in over a month of communications with the U-Haul of Interbay store, customer service, and collections. Management took responsibility for the issue they caused with my rental invoice but it's yet to be resolved. This experience has been extremely disappointing, drawn out, and never should have happened. I can't say if it's this store in particular or a reflection on U-Haul as an organization. I won't use this location again, though.

Upgrade efficiency. Average time was 20 minutes in line to turn a truck in or check one out or make reservation.. Agent treatment at the desk I would say was "abrupt" rather than "rude". Charged for dollies I did not have. (Not sure whether taken off my credit card or not.) People new heights of trucks but not their widths and a tape measure could not be found. Convenient to Queen Ann. This was it.

This was a frustrating experience. I tried to reserve a truck using your online reservation system. Twice it booted me out at the very end when I was adding my credit card and contact information. The online system showed that a truck was available at 11 a.m. so I bused directly to the Interbay location after I could not finalize a reservation online. There I was informed that a truck was not longer available, but they did have a 10' truck available at 1 p.m. While reviewing this contract I discovered that both the "Safemove" charge and the mileage rate were higher that quoted on the online system. Total extra charges were $.30/mile x 23 miles + $4 extra for "Safemove" + applicable WA sales tax. Best guess is I paid $10 more than I expected from my original online reservation system. P.S. What is the $1.00 Environmental Fee?

I have to admit that I was pretty skeptical after reading the online reviews, AND I was delighted that none of those concerns were true in my experience yesterday. The reservation was quick, easy, cordial, the rental itself took less than 10 minutes, I might have waited 5 minutes for the renter ahead of me, there were 2 attendants, plus someone bringing the vehicles, the vehicle was clean, new, and full of gas, the return was simple, put in gas, return to the lot, drop the keys in the secure box, and the receipt arrived at 7:30 this morning just as quoted. I could not be more pleased.

I will never go to this U-Haul location again. Literally everything that could have gone wrong here went wrong. They forced me to return a reservation I had already confirmed to drop of at a different location online back at the same location upon pick up. My drop off confirmation was confirmed online which is why I reserved at a far away location in the first place. This added significant mileage and cost. Staff was slow, lazy, underprepared, and rude. Waited for 1 hour to get the truck. They told me fuel cost would be between $10-15 given my mileage, then charged me $9 in fuel sales and $30 dollars in a fuel fee. Attendant got a fork lift stuck in front of our truck and couldn’t find the keys. Absolutely the worst truck experience I’ve ever had. Doubled the cost of renting by poor organization and lying employees.

The parking situation is ridiculous. There is literally nowhere to park your car near the facility--all of the on-street parking is restricted. U-haul needs to lease spaces for customers in the parking lot next to the facility.

Sunday ay 1 PM the lineup at the counter was 10 groups deep, There was only one person working and it took 45 minutes to pick up a truck that I had already pre-registered for. Make this process less painful and you'll be doing a lot to improve.

They didn’t provide me furniture pads and then charged me for 1500 miles and additional days when I turned the van back in the same day and drove it less than 10 miles. I want a refund of all of my charges.

I really appreciated the bit of "wiggle room" I was allowed in terms of returning the trailer. The extra hour allowed me to go to the dump when it opened and still get the trailer back to UHaul in time for the next customer.

I am never using U-Haul again if possible. I rent a trailer from U-Haul 1-4 times per month but I will be buying my own trailer, even though it's not worth the cost financially - just to avoid the constant hassles of U-Haul. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance and have the confirmation email but when I showed up they did not have my trailer and the manager tried to tell me some bull about the fine print saying they might not have what I reserved. Then I showed him my confirmation email with no such fine print and he changed his tune. It took them around an hour to get it sorted out but he finally gave me a 6x12 trailer instead of the 5x8 I had reserved because that's all he had. He even charged me for the 6x12 though too instead of charging me for what I reserved. Ridiculous. Then the trailer was parked so poorly up against a truck that when I tried to drive out with it it got lodged into the truck and damaged. Needless to say I ended up quite late to my event and incredibly stressed. U-Haul you need to hire some more competent staff and completely overhaul you're antiquated system so that reservations are actually kept and customers don't have to wait at your offices for an hour while employees take photos of their IDs (which I had already uploaded in advance, as if that saved any time) repeatedly! What a joke your "service" is.

Excellent service for an ambitious move on a holiday! Was assisted immediately to my rental vehicle without waiting in any line. Return process was a breeze. Employees friendly and knowledgeable. On-site parking a bonus. That said, I did not appreciate being notified the night before that no vehicle would be available at the location I booked at (S Lake Union) at least a month in advance. While not a problem for me to go to the interbay location, this is not acceptable. I did receive the $50 refund for the reservation guarantee however.

My experience with the associate and even the owner were fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. I believe it was Patricia and don’t recall the owners name but I did read owner on the name tag. I am however upset that I was told the gas was full and when I got in, it was slightly under 3/4 tank. I went back in, told them and they adjusted the contract. When I returned, 8 miles later, the tank was at the same level and they recorded it at much lower than what I was reading. I was charged about $8 for Gas that was unneeded. In my defense, if I would have drove off and not double checked, I’d be on the hook for far more money. Someone should have checked the mileage and gas with me before I left after dropping the vehicle off. So, although my experience with the people at this location was great. I don’t think I’ll be using u-haul any further as I don’t feel there is trust in how the company goes about business.

I was charged for two days. When I returned the truck same day at 5:20pm. I tried calling uhaul about this mistake 5 times and no answer. I called customer service and they claimed to have send the interbay store a message to call me urgently. The store never called and did not fix this error. Horrible customer service

Location has changed me for 72 hours of rental. Truck was returned within 36 hours. Manager very unprofessional.

The location was extremely busy with only 1 person working the counter, they had lost/misplaced/not received a number of the keys back and didn't have the amount of trucks they had reserved to people, so it was a rather stressful and messy process and a long line as well.

One of the managers was screaming at coworkers when I picked up the van. This same person was shrieking insanely at coworkers when I dropped the van off as well. Yikes.
