Super long lines . Pricing was not transparent

Staff seemed to not care about their jobs at all. Lot was completely packed and hard to navigate in a vehicle. The lines were long and took forever to get to the front. One staff was burping the entire time he checked a customer out. The truck was fine, considering it had scratches all over it, missing window handle crank knob, and part of the bumper was bent out of place. Over all, it was fine, just the staff didn't seem to care and were definitely in no hurry to move the customers through the lines.

When I showed up at the location at 7AM there was no one at the location. I waited over an hour for an employee to show. When I got to the register we chatted and he let me know 2 people were supposed to be there by 6:30 and neither showed. He gave me a $50 reservation guarantee credit which was nice and something I wasn’t aware of. The next day I dropped the truck off and the same employee was there. He told me he opened the store at 6:30 that day and another employee was a no show at 6:30 with a second no show at 9. He was doing everything he could to help customers and was just suffering from a lack of a team that cares to show up for work. That said Tanner Maxwell of the U-Haul of North Seattle location deserves a promotion for partially salvaging U-Haul reputation at this store.

You have engaged in Fraud. I reserved the truck from 10 - Noon. There was a 20 minute wait to get the truck so when I left I only had just over an hour and a half. I drove the truck a total of 12 miles. Beginning mileage 302 ending 314. I even stopped at the gas station and added gas so it had more dropping it off than when I picked it up. They wanted to charge me a $15 refuel charge. When I asked why, they said it was lower than when I checked out. $15 for 12 MILES and I even showed the gas receipt that was less than 10 minutes old. It is clear that you are attempting to defraud your customers by bumping up the gas charges. I am in the process of filing a complaint with Bob Ferguson as well as the BBB.

They charged me extra for gas even though I returned the truck with extra gas. They didn't even bring this up when I was checking out.

Had a 7am reservation. No one showed up from the business until almost 8am. When i returned, i tried to find someone to check the truck in with. Walked completely around the building, waited. Finally saw two workers smokin and jokin in the open air equipment room. Waited longer, pretty sure at least one saw me standing there, but ignored me. I spoke up and he came out to help me. It turned out to be the manager. When i commented on the one hour late opening, even though the neon open sign was flashing on, he made a casual comment that he didn't know what happened, that the opening person must've shown up late. He seemed pretty unconcerned, didn't apologize, didn't seem like a normal business manager. I won't be back at that location. Always had a great experience in the past. Kwon (sp?) helped me with pricing, cost comparison, options over the phone when i inquired recently and he provided outstanding customer service again last autumn when i first worked with him. He's very professional, conscientious, efficient, intelligent, helpful. That's why i returned. The other guy is why i may not. Sad. And he's the manager! There were 6 people waiting to get their uhaul rental yesterday morning. Really poor experience.

More staff and less inventory. Long wait in line for both pick up and drop off. No room to park as the property was absolutely clogged with trucks, trailers and customers vehicles.

The lot was so jammed full of vehicles, cold only pull in in the back. Went to office no one there! Waited about ten minutes - went outside and started yelling HEY! ANYONE HERE! several times - no answer. There was a young man without uniform - asked him if he worked there - he said yea, but not on the counter - he would go find someone. Meanwhile three or four other customers entered the office - still no one there. Then a uniformed young man came in through the back door - I told him I was returning a trailer - he said "OK - meet me at the trailer". He had seen me drive in with the trailer, but did not attempt to make it to the office. He barely said three words. I started unhooking the trailer, which he let me do, and then grumbled as he slowly unwound the safety chains, and wrapped the power cord around the handle, then just moved the trailer - I had to ask if there was anything else, he said no. Lousy customer service!

When we arrived, no one was in the space to get us the key. When someone came in from the back a little while later, we went to go start the truck but the engine wouldn't turn over. We went back into the store, again, no one was in there to help us. We walked all around the building and couldn't find anyone. When we finally did find someone, they took a while to get us a new key because apparently we needed to reregister? I'm not sure what happened. When I came to return the truck, there was no order, two people turned their vehicles in that had gotten there after me, I had to move my truck a few times to let parked cars leave, and no one gave any direction. I understand if there is a shortage of staff, but can I at least get a greeting and point me where to go to wait?

This location had a truck for me when my first location did not when I went to pick it up after I confirmed my reservation the day before. It cost me an extra $100.00 in moving expenses. Plus nobody in management will call me back. I will leave a bad review everywhere I can if I don't hear from somebody soon.

You can improve by making sure you have the item at the location I reserved it at. Instead, I was relocated later to an inconvenient location. You should have made sure that if you said a trailer was available on your website and it's reserved that you make sure it's there even if you have to take one there.

The Uhaul online reservation system is useless. I did everything possible in advance, including online check-in (which was said to cut pickup time in half). It did not matter at all that I had done that and I waited in line for over an hour while one to two people slowly walked people through an entire process taking at least 20-30 minutes per customer. By the time I left there were 15 people waiting in line. Extremely inefficient system. The workers themselves were doing their best so my contention is with Uhaul, not this store particularly. This pickup took several hours and ate into prime packing and loading time and set the whole process back.

The chains were too long the way the person hooked them up and ended up dragging on the ground and I had to stop, it also beat the crap out of the chains. I took photos but don’t know how or where to send them to you. I also bought the insurance so it’s moot.

The inability to process returned vehicles fast enough to not block both entry driveways to the lot was quiet annoying. When I picked up my van, I had to pull it out of the middle of a line and had to wait for one of the employees to back up one truck so I could get behind it and get out. After about 10min in line with no possibility of progression (I was 2nd, w/ 2 people working the desk), I converted my reservation to 24/7 pickup, b/c of a major training issue with staff, so there's that issue as well, but thank you for that option now. It likely saved me a half hour or more.

I'm very upset that my reservation was changed from am to pm on your website and I had to go to a whole different location to get the truck because of the website messed up. This caused me to put more miles on the truck and have to pay more because of it! It made me miss my Movers by having to go out of my way to pick up a truck.

Quicker management of people parking in the driveway (leaving trucks or trailers) would help, although there are times it will always be difficult.
