This comment has nothing to do with the location of the pickup for the U-Haul. This comment is about the sheer ineptitude of the employees at U-Haul during this process. One employee tried to tell us to pick up our truck 30 miles away from our preferred site, despite having spoken directly in person to the people that own the company at which we were picking up our truck. The employee then realized their mistake after taking the super challenging step of checking the notes that were left for them by the people at the pickup site. Then they showed their inability to perform basic tasks once again at drop off by being completely unable to once again check the notes that were left or show any middle school communication skills to talk to the people at the same site for the drop off. They had to call again asking if we had dropped off the truck two days after it was dropped off because of their incompetence. Coming from a school teacher, I would highly recommend that U-Haul start to hire employees who can read and communicate at least a 6th grade level for their future business endeavors.

We had a scheduled pick up at 1 and no one told us they close shortly after that. The door said 5. We was running late getting there and didn’t think it would be a problem because we talked to them at 11. We got there and no one was there. The UHaul itself had AC issues the whole way.

Sherry DNo one was there when I arrived. I understand children get sick and need to be cared for. However as a business owner it is your responsibility to care for your business and the pivot. Plan ahead make sure the customers cared for. I also understand that U-Haul is not your primary business so if you're not going to treat it as such you may want to rethink not having it. It is not U-Haul's responsibility to run your business they're there for customer support, to help you if you need it not to run it as your primary so that you can sit back and make the money off of the sale.
Jessie WSomeone could actually assist in the hooking up . I spent about 20 minutes getting the hitch lined up when a guide could have been one and done .
