I was very disappointed in my experience with this move. I was told a 15 ft truck was not available at my preferred location on S Campbell. I was instead instructed to show up to Rikers Flee Market where they had a 15 ft truck. This was slightly inconvenient, but I understood. However, upon arriving to Rikers I was told no 15 ft truck was present but that Uhaul had instructed Rikers I would be fine with a 20 ft for the same price. No one contacted me to notify me of this and I was not comfortable driving a bigger truck. After explaining this, I was instructed to head over to S Campbell where they now had a 15 ft truck. Upon explaining my frustration to an employee at S Campbell he proceeded to say it was not his fault. I understand that it likely was not his fault, but he didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. It was frustrating to be driving all over town the day before I move. If I am not compensated in some way, I will never be using UHaul again. This is unacceptable customer service.

The salesman was far less helpful he was in a hurry to get me hook up and out of the store , he forgot to twist the lock down on the hauler I didn’t not notice until we attempted to load the vehicle we were transporting could have been very bad situation if it had come off while I was empty going to the site to load the load ........yes it’s driver responsibility but I trusted that someone who works around these units all day would completely knowledgeable in his job .

Extremely understaffed, double billed me and now I can’t get anyone to speak to me. Emailed immediately after receiving my final bill, no response. Called and talked to customer service, was told the manager would call before the end of the day, didn’t happen. Called the store and was told there was a 15-20 wait time, 25 minutes later, still on hold. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I reserved on the website and there was not a way to change how long I needed the truck. After I had reserved it, it told me I only had it for four hours. As a result, I went in and talked to the employee and he needed the truck back in 4 hours so upgraded me to the next size at no charge which was wonderful customer service but it could have been avoided if there was a place to tell you long the customer needs the truck.

I originally ordered from the north location due to location convenience. My reservation was switched to a South location. When I arrived to pick up trailer, it was the wrong trailer and was told I would have to go to Nixa to pick one up. That was absolutely unacceptable and not possible. I live north of Willard. I was already late to my destination where I needed the trailer due to the issues with location change and wrong trailer. Fortunately, a trailer like I reserved happened to pull in for return. I was then told I HAD to take trailer back to South location, which is almost an hour drive for me, which is why I chose the north location. With both locations being Uhaul stores, it should have been handled where an employee should have taken the correct trailer to my chosen location and I should have been able to drop off at chosen location. I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone else. That was nothing but frustration from Thursday to Saturday!

How do I rate this? The location I was supposed to return to doesn’t even exist. I called the number which was disconnected. I looked at mapquest and it shows 5 locations in Republic Mo. of course these didn’t exist either. Called the store in Springfield and they verified the republic stores did not exist. So kudos to the store and a big fat zero rating for uhaul itself.

I would like to comment on the excellent service Kenneth in Springfield, Missouri Campbell Avenue location gave us when we rented our truck and trailer to move 1400 miles across the country. Moving is a stressful time for anyone. Kenneth was calm at all times. He answered all of our questions and assured us that U Haul would be there for us from the beginning to the end. We also had great service at our drop off location in Tuscon at the Golf Links location. We had an awful experience from a certain company that rhymes with Shirts...so we are grateful for our positive experience with this company.

Dont make more reservations then you have trucks for my reservation was bumped at one location on a holiday weekend the day before my move was asked to go 22 out of way from my perferrd pick up this is piss poor customer service in my opinion then when i droped the drop back up the employee was rude i have been a long time customer of u haul dont think i will be back

The hitch pin that was installed is a defective product, it fell apart when installed , the staff reassembled the spring loaded pin and reinstalled the roll pin that fell out . Upon our drive to return the trailer , the entire hitch pin fell out and the trailer hit the back of the car causing damage to the car. Filed an insurance claim with my carrier . Please call me if you like , otherwise your service and staff were great ??

Enclosed trailer oscillated about 5" back and forth on drivers' side only and shaking my truck throughout my trip. Was concerned that truck frame could have been weakened through metal fatigue. Explained problem to return representative who indicated he didn't care. Pathetic! Trailer needs to be fixed!
