The truck had an indicator that the right front tire was low on air. The attendant checked it and it was fine. He said probably a faulty indicator. Please pay attention to the indicators. When driving a strange vehicle it is unnerving when you have indicators listing a problem.

They charged extra miles and amount to my rental and didn't even apologize when I corrected them. Vehicle was very dirty inside and out and seemed it hasn't been washed for a long time with mud on the outside of the vehicle, dirt and dust inside everywhere.

I was charged $150.00 extra for a 14in cut in the mat that I did not do. My mistake was that I did not inspect the cargo area of the van. I only inspected the outside of the van. I called and reported the extra charge and was told that it was going to get looked into. This is 5/15/18 and I have not heard anything since I called.

The logs advised that there was a half tank of gas, however, there was only 3/8th of a tank. I used what I used, and put back the gas that was spent leaving it exactly where I had found it. I was still charged $12 for the 1/8th tank of gas that was “missing”. I feel as if they had purposely marked the tank higher than the actual amount to upcharge me. Not a great experience. Truck was decent, location was alright, but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

Had a great customer experience. After reserving a trailer that was to small (website wouldn’t let me reserve the one I wanted) Ryan helped me get swapped to an auto trailer in no time. 2nd time I’ve rented a trailer from this location, would recvomend !

Although the location and the GM were top notch, this is NOT the location I chose and the fact that someone else dropped the trailer I had rented at the wrong location is really NOT my problem. It is yours. You should have moved the trailer to where I ordered. I rent from you 6-10 times a year. Take care of your good returning customers. Note that the 800 dispatch person was probably one of the rudest people i have come across in a very long time. No I did not get her name. You should probably do some test calls and see how your 800# folks treat your customers. By the way, I am renting another trailer today for the weekend. Thanks, David Melugin

I purchased UHaul ratchet straps from this location. At no fault of their own, one of the ratchet straps was held together by staples. Thankfully I noticed this prior to using this strap. I actually did not use any of the straps because of fear of failure while using them. I will be returning to the store to get a refund on these items.

Although the final pick-up destination was great, what it took to get there was terrible. I called 5 days in advance to rent a 5x8 trailer in the DC area. The closest place was in Reston (which was not close) so I booked for Saturday morning at 10AM, which was confirmed by email. I then scheduled moving helpers at noon in DC. Less then 24 hours before pick up, I am notified by phone that my unit will be available by 2PM. This is totally unsatisfactory because I have already scheduled moving help at noon and I then have to drive 6 hours to Ohio before dark. (I am 63yo and do not see well at night to drive), I spent over an hour on the phone with representatives of U-haul who basically said "we're really sorry but that's too bad, that's all we can do". I finally had to change my day to Sunday so that I could get a unit at 10AM, in a location even further away. This cost me an extra night in a hotel, had to change my U-Haul recommended moving helpers (which became a huge problem because they then showed up 2 hours late on Sunday) and I missed teaching Sunday School in Ohio, which inconvenienced several people who had to hunt for a replacement teacher for me. If this was an isolated incident I would be more understanding, but almost the very same thing recently happened to my daughter in New York City and she was forced to hire much more expensive movers to get her out of her apartment on time in NYC. U-Haul used to be a great service provider, I have used them for years to one way move my children to and from college with no problem. You now have no units available when promised and your staff on the phone are rude and unaccommodating. I guess when you are the only gig in town with trailers, you can screw people over and get away with it. It is a real shame to see such a great business go down hill like this.

As bad as my week was, and as in the situation that I needed a vehicle to move family, Ryan offered me the greatest customer service I've ever had in years, to include my time in the Service. From the moment I walked in, from greeting me, to talking to me, helping me, giving me options, the crew he was surrounded me, EVERYONE HAD A SMILE. I needed to see that motivation around me at the moment, cuz my day wasn't finished. Took me to my vehicle, talked for a bit. On the way inside to use the facilities, the girl outside asked me if I needed anything. On the way out, told Ryan, facilities are clean. Trust me, I have not seen anything like this at Uhaul location. To finished my night, put keys before turning mileage in. I called, talked to Corey and told him I messed up and made a mistake. Even that guy made an effort to make me smile and he did. After such a long day, took care of my family on an emergency, for home late and tired, but these uhaul location and it's employees made it sooo much better for me. I will have to drive 30 minutes to rent a vehicle. And even though I have rental places around me in Silver Spring M.D., I will drive 30 minutes to get a 5 star service. I hope that who ever clean that vehicle isn't upset, cuz I spilled my drink. Didn't mean it. I thank Ryan and the crew for what they did for me and my family.
