I spoke with someone from U- haul regarding charges that I head I spouse to pay $ 310 and $368 they charged my card $ 760 what's the reason still dont know !FATMIR I.
The truck was not available when we got there. I ordered furniture covers and they didn't have them. Please note I booked on like but felt better calling as well to confirm which I did during the week and confirmed my reservation and order for covers yet they didn't have them which caused me to scramble that morning to get covers for my move. They had to redo my contract because they didn't have the covers which further delayed us as well. Then the transmission was slipping as well. And finally I was originally told it was a 24 hour rental and could be returned the next day same time. Yet when the redid my contract for reasons stated above it said truck needed to be returned by 6.. I called the store to discuss 5 times and no one answered further adding to the stress of getting the truck back in time from a move from NY to NJ. Overall TERRIBLE experience would NEVER use this location again nor would I recommend.Lori B.

The vehicle wasn't cleaned or disinfected from the previous use. I had to buy disinfectant wipes to wipe the interior and hand cart. During this Covid Era the cleanliness of the vehicle is so important.Peter O.
Have truck parked so I can pull right out of parking lot instead of backing it out through opening of gate to street, across sidewalk into traffic. I wasnt familiar driving truck with blind spots.STEVEN Z.

The employees were friendly but the physical location is awful. When returning the truck I was never sent a code for the key box and I needed to go back the next day to return the key which was another toll to pay. They sent me a photo of an orange box which didn't exist on the location. They also charged me for a utility caddy that I rented but never received. Unfortunately I didn't realize it wasn't in the car until I got to my location. Overall I will never rent a u haul again. I had two of the worst experiences of my whole life renting these trucks from 2 different locations in 2 days.Julianne P.

I made a reservation for a van with a Appliance Dolly for big things like refrigerators, when I did a pick-up the trolleys weren't available, I had to take things 2-3 hours longer on an regular hand truck.Valentin S.

I had a terrible experience today renting a van to move some furnitures. I was having trouble with the app and it would not let me proceed to the next step and said there was error with my card. I thought I put in the wrong expiration date so I tried another card and still got the same result. But when I checked my credit card statement I was charged TWICE! I had to go to the counter and pay ANOTHER time to get the van rental. I wasted 45 minutes trying to get the rental and it's disheartening that a rental company like U-Haul doesn't have a reliable app for mobile booking.Brian L.
This was the location my pick up was moved to WITHOUT TELLING ME. It was located on the opposite side of Staten Island. I was only informed of this change less than 24 hours before my scheduled pick up. Using the 800 number got me to a dispatch center that seems surprised that the location had changed. But because of the extra distance I was told my 40 mile allowance was up graded to 52 miles. NOTE I never received this upgrade, only the standard 40 miles when I picked up my truck. After that call to the dispatch center, I called the location to verify the availability of the truck and was told that Yes the truck was there, ready for pick up. But when I showed up to pick up the truck, I walked in and said I was there to pick it up, WITH OUT HAVING TO EVEN ASK MY NAME, the person I was directed to to pick up the truck from told me that no truck was available. That it was still packed. And that there was no other truck available. Please remember that this is during the COVID-19 Lockdown in NY. To move my work tools for a NEW job, I had to coordinate with 3 other people and a restricted time schedule, so any delay impacted my ability to start a job. I called the 800 number that got me the dispatch center again. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes during which time, the person on the phone was somewhat helpful. The actual owner manager of the location was contacted. This man was able to empty the truck so I could obtain it, over an hour late. The dispatch center person over the course of the phone call changed to someone who identified herself as the Center Manager. This person explained about the manager owner fixes to get me the truck. This person also said that I would receive a $50 credit to be returned to my credit card with in 3-5 days. That is the reason I have waited 10 days to fill out this review. I am still waiting for this credit.James C.

They said I was supposed to have the truck back the day before it was due. They didn't have a person ready to notify u-haul that the truck was returned. They charged me for an overdue truck when it was returned early.Joseph B.
