The truck was perfect, and using the app was amazing. However the pick up experience was really bad, and if if was like this again, I wouldn't come back. I completed the app pick up process in a few minutes and was then directed to get my key from the front desk. I came at a busy time on a Saturday, so there were 12 people in line in front of me, but there was only one associate working. This caused me to have to wait in line for 50 minutes before getting my key, causing me to be 40 minutes late to my move. The app pick up instruction video made it seem like I could pick up my key from an electronic lock box, which I think is a fantastic idea. However at this location I was directed to speak to an associate to get my key. This unexpected step caused me great frustration.

More Customer service. The wait to pick up the vehicle was over 45 minutes in line with only two customer service agents working. Over 20 people waiting in line to pick up at one point.

The Good: I made a reservation for 24/7 pick up. I followed the app's instructions to inspect the truck and everything. The app is easy to follow and well-designed. Kudos to the app developer! The Bad: I got to the point where I needed to get the key. The app says, "Skip the line! Go to the front and ask for the key." So I went to the front and asked for the key. The person said, "Ma'am, I'll be right with you," but continued to help the people in line, ignoring me. This is frustrating because the app said specifically said that I didn't have to wait in line. I used the "Live Chat" feature to confirm my understanding. The Live Chat agent recommended that I ask again, so I did, citing the live chat conversation. This time, the staff person begrudgingly leaned over and gave me the key. In conclusion, if U-Haul promises a "skip the line" experience, train the staff to align with company policy. I lost 30 minutes to this reluctant staff person, and I ended up showing up later than the hired help. I lost labor time and had to rush through the move. This is not the customer experience I was expecting from U-Haul.

Your assistant manager, Cass, went above and beyond in service. He was all by himself on an incredibly swamped weekend afternoon and delivered excellent service. He multitasked his way through a line out the door and treated everyone with grace. He deserves a promotion, or a pay raise at the very least. Companies need to be aware that it is people like him that keep them afloat.

I made reservation to pick up truck at 5:00pm. A 5:24, I received a call but caller did not say his name. CALLER: are you still coming to pick up truck? ME: yes. CALLER: what time are you coming? ME: within the next hour. CALLER: I will hold the truck until 7:00 and if you don't come by then, I will cancel the reservation. ME: why? I just told you I am coming to pick it up and you don't close until 8:00 anyway. CALLER: are you going to own up to your word and come as you said you would? ME: that is very unprofessional of you, may I please have you name. Caller refused to give me his name and instead he hung up. In less than one hour I was picking up the truck and CALLER was on the phone talking to someone about the incident and there were 2 customers in line and with me 3. Later as he was helping the 2nd customer another employee walked in and helped me. When CALLER finished helping the other customer, he came to his coworker who was helping me and kept talking about the incident negatively. I honestly kept myself together without saying a word and only got truck because I was already there and did not want to go elsewhere, as I was short on time. I will never rent from this place again.

The truck was fine, the manager helpful. But the drop in key turn in does not handle multiple keys well. I turned my key key in at nite, the key fell on the floor, the person picking up the keys was not attentive, it slid under a display, I was going to have to pay for the key if it was not found. Bad system. Each key should have an envelope, with the name of the owner going into a box so they don't go all over the floor.

I waited 1 hr 45 min in-line, witnessed the only employee onsite (his shirt said general manager) curse out a customer, and was given the wrong truck. Because of the delay, my moving crew left and I had to call friends to help me move. I had to pay a $200 fee to the moving company. I will never use u-haul again because I can get better service on other odd job websites like Craigslist, Taskrabbit, or Fiverr, which I just used last week. You should consider automating customer check-ins with kiosks. If it can be done with people checking into flights at an airport, it's possible to do it for rental vans.

Wait times were ridiculous. Staff were kind and doing their best but every time I went there — even to buy a box — was 30+ minutes. Buying/reserving online did not help; still slow. Also the internal systems seemed antiquated and difficult to use..,seemed to be a struggle for the staff to get anything done.

Have one more associate on weekends to make the check in process go easier, but the two people working there on Sunday June 30th were excellent and very hard working. Thank you especially to Cass Rickard for taking care of everything for us and switching out trucks really quickly.

There was no place to park while you use the rented vehicle. There's really no street parking convenient to the location, either. The line was over an hour and a half long. I showed up 20 min early to my reservation. Everyone in the line had a reservation. There was only 1-2 employees (mostly 1 because of lunches) scheduled to be there. It was a RIDICULOUS amount of time to wait. The employees were kind
