Clean/disinfect interior/ drivers area in between clients ESPECIALLY due to COVID-19. Inside was filthy. There is no sanitizing in between clients.
My original pickup location was 10 minute drive away from FV Interiors. I had booked a 20ft mover but seeing as the previous booking had not returned it I was sent to FV Interiors instead to pickup a 26ft (which was the same price to book at time of booking) as it was all that was available. I had deliberately booked a 20ft as I did not need anything larger and was not comfortable driving that large a vehicle, so on top of being put out a 10 minute drive, I also had to take a larger vehicle than I needed which proved problematic for my needs for the day. I don't think it's very good that uhaul will charge the previous customer extra for late return, but the customer who is affected by their late return (Because they cannot use the vehicle that wasn't returned), receives no benefit in the form of discount etc. My experience with FV Interiors was absolutely great and Staff were very helpful and not responsible for the negative aspect of my experience at all! Hope that all makes sense!
The furniture pads and dolly I rented were not in the truck even though I reserved it a few days in advance. My pickup time was before FV Interiors opened so I could not address this and had to go meet the guys helping me move. This was unacceptable as I was moved heavy, expensive equipment. Please ensure the items your clients rent are available for them. :-(
The cab was unclean. I know through COVID vehicles are difficult to keep up to par, however the pick up place should at minimum be able to quickly wipe down and sweep out before next customer. Personally I would be willing to pay an extra fee to drop off for cleaning if it was an option.
This location is an absolute disaster. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM HERE. From the cramped parking of the trailers and trucks to the complete absence of someone who speaks English on the lot to misinformation and incompetence. This location does not give a crap about you and wants only your money. My advice GO ELSEWHERE.
I had to find the truck, then find the trailer on the other side of the building. No inspection was done with me, nor was I shown the equipment. The store owner also showed up 20 min late.
I was extremely disappointed that smoking had occurred in the truck we had rented. It was obvious as we entered the cab and really put me off. I looked around for No Smoking decals and there were none. Do you not have a No Smoking Policy?!
The cab of the truck was absolutely filthy. This vehicle has not been cleaned since I don't know when. There appears to be dried bird CRAP on the inside of the drivers door. As well, there has been no sanitizing done as per your own company policy of this cab interior. Also, I had to sweep out the van because it was so unclean to ship anything in it. The van was full of sand, grit, and litter. There was no way I was going to put any of my stuff in it. When I was finished with my move I swept it out again, and folded the blankets and put them on the wheel well inside the van neatly. They were all left in a pile in the corner when I got it. As well, I want to tell you the steering wheel is way off center and pointing to the left so the wheel alignment is quite off. The turn signals do not engage properly because of this. Also the windshield washers do not work; there is washer fluid, but the washer lines are off at the base of the wiper arms. I explained this to the people at the location, but I am not confident these repairs will be done.
Interior of truck cab was dirty from previously spilled drinks, should have been cleaned before we picked up. Everything else was clean though.
Back of the truck was pretty dirty. Needed a sweep. Not the end of the world though.

Cab and box of truck were dirty, but I read the reviews before I arrived so I expected this. I had to sweep out truck before loading. Quick check in and out, and friendly service though. I knew what to expect beforehand.
The vehicle was better than expected, but took a picture of miles when I got in vehicle. Seems there is a 43 mile difference in your favour seeing your mileage count was less . So this means $15 in your pocket. So who ever is taking milage counts and also looking at gas tank volume at the site in Abbotsford should take a better look fuel was 7/8 and my picture shows 3/4 clearly. Anyway your company is a major company, but with poor support could bring it to a serious problem. Hopefully you prosper with the $15. If i owe it I will pay it but I don't feel owe it. The guy told me to drop my key in the slot instead of handing it to him and then they charged me $20 for it. Pissed about that.
The truck was mechanically well maintained but lots of evidence of previous user. For example potato chips under seat and dirt on knobs, With corona virus this is un wise. The reception desk gentlemen were pleasant and as fast as their computer would allow. First customer of the day and it took 25 minutes
The personal must be able to speak English.
Didn't give me a dollie when I rented one and lied about how much it would cost to rent the truck. Wouldn't recommend uhaul
The FV Interior staff cannot read reservations properly. It took me close to an hour to get help from Telephone agent who very patiently walked me through pick-up. The FV Interior staff are absolutely useless.
Rented 26ft truck for 3 days. The truck interior was dirty and dusty. The initial truck we were provided had check engine light on. The check engine light also illuminated on the replacement truck at the end of the 3 day rental. The trucks are worn and dated quite loud for driver on freeway driving. These trucks might be okay for a day and local rental however do nit recommend for longer drives.
Actually put the dolly and blankets into the truck. It was parked in a spot where we couldn't open the door and assumed they were packed (they weren't). I called the location and asked them to fix our order but was still questioned about it at the drop off location in Victoria. I had a lot of trouble with the website and had to make changes to the pick up and drop off dates. When I called to confirm I was told (again) that it's an automatic two days for the rental. I was told at pickup and drop off that it was only booked for one day and that there would be a $40 surcharge because of it. I found both of these screw-ups annoying and the person at the drop off deleted the $40 charge. The receipt was not sent as a pdf and I can't open the attachment. Lots of administrative bungling going on.
CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT, make sure you get the reservation right. When someone asks for 24 blankets, don't have 12 in the truck at pickup. Make sure the renter knows exactly how much he is being charged at the time of the reservation except for the obvious, extra miles/ kilometres.
We had to pull the trailer out from a tight corner by hand with out any help as the store owner stood and watched and were instructed to park in the same spot after hours. Never using this location and he should take pride and help customers. FYI, all other locations pull out equipment and line it up due to safety.
This was an upsetting experience. It took us an hour to get the truck then we got the keys and opened the truck it was very dirty. We then were offered another truck so we took that one it was cleaner but still dirty. The boxes from being in the back of the truck we all black on the bottom. the boxes were put on my carpet, now my carpets are all stained black. We asked for blankets but there we none in either truck. The lady on the phone asked me if id be willing to drive to another location to get some blankets, i agree. I get to the next place and they wouldn't give me any blankets. I had to use my bedding for moving blankets. Honestly this was so frustrating and sad. I tried to complain but each person just sent me to another person, i got no where. thanks for listening! :( At the end of it all i really don't feel l should have paid for anything that day. I just spent $110.00 to get the stains out of my carpet from the dirty truck.
