When I got my truck it had no appliance dolly in the trunk. Had to have someone drive me to a closer location once the store opened and pick it up. Had the guys sitting in the heat while we did that. Inconvenience to my neighbors since the druck was blocking there cars. Such a night mare.

there were about 10-15 moving blankets inside u-haul trailer we rented that we did not request. would not have minded except they were wet and mildewy and smelled badly. trailer should have been inspected between rentals and the blankets removed to be cleaned and dried

The process for picking up the rental needs to be explained better to the person renting the truck so as to not waste a lot of time. The remote pickup using an app is not user friendly.

I waited for over three hours getting sent to it and customer service. The app wasnâ€™t working, nobody could help me. Finally when the app was working I got the code to get the keys and the keys wasnâ€™t in the box. I will never use u haul again. I prepaid and couldnâ€™t get anyone to help me. You can see where I called several times. I will be asking for a refund.

I had self pick-up service using the Uhaul App. The initial 9ft cargo van that I ordered was not available~the key was not in the lock box. No big deal~ I called the help number associated with the location and they gave me instructions on how to get the 10ft truck instead. Even though it took me 4 times to get him by phone he was very nice and helpful. The 10ft truck itself was fairly clean on the inside but VERY old! It made really strange sounds throughout the rental period.. It also had very rusty rims which I have never seen before on a uhaul. It got from point A to point B just fine but this particular vehicle may be close to retirement. Also a better system for returning keys online to avoid the next customer having the same issue I did might be extremely helpful.

I asked for someone to help me load the truck. They sent a person "Anthony" and a lady friend of his. Please ask them NEVER to send those 2 out again. Much of my furniture is damaged because it was not packed correctly.

My reservation was actually not for this location. Michael's Service Center was where I reserved my truck from. Upon arriving the people were rude and stated that U-Haul had over booked them. The woman behind the counter made "calls" to the people that had reserved the trucks they had left. Funny that the only person that showed up (when they were both on their way) was another employee. I was then sent 12 miles further away and when I inquired about the extra mileage I was told "too bad". The people at Michael's was extremely rude and what made matters even worse was that when returning our truck to Bessemer City there was a 14' truck still sitting in the same place at Michael's. They just decided they did not want to rent to me for some reason. I am now due the reservation guarantee since my truck was not at the correct place but we will see if that happens since the people at Michael's took it upon themselves to cancel my reservation. I never cancelled it. I will NEVER do business with Michael's again. The second place that I went to was great!! They were very friendly and most accommodating. I would definitely do business with Glenn's again. They went above and beyond to make this rental a more pleasant experience.

I had to wait a good 15 minutes while couple in front of me was waited on for a fishing lic. and transfering their boat reg. to NC. While I thought that he spread himself a little thin I figured he has to do what ever he can to make a buck. What annoyed me was that while He waited on this couple he gave them his undivided attention. However when my turn came he stopped in the middle of helping me to take the time to explain to someone who came in after he started waiting on me why his lawnmower needed a part that had to be special ordered. Obviously he did this while I was standing right there. Will find a place a little further away next time and probably get taken care of faster.

U-Haul customer service was lacking in their responsibilites to communicate with me. Tony at this location was very helpful and assist me in finding a location in Columbia,SC to drop off the Uhaul. U-Hauls's customer was very difficult to work with and I was very disappointed in the service I obtained. U-haul customer serive was not friendly or helpful. They need be aware that Budget also rents cargo trailers and trucks. If you want to keep you customers you need to make changes in how you treat your customers.

I placed my order on a Monday for a Friday rental in Charlotte, NC. I found out Thursday afternoon that the truck that was reserved for me would be available in Bessemer City, NC -- 45 miles from my requested location. Beyond the inconvenience of having to find a way to get to the pick-up site, the far-off location ate into the 275 miles that I was allocated for a one-way rental and (at 10 miles per gallon) cost me an additional $10 in fuel. Just as disappointing, U-Haul informed me of the rental location the day before I needed to pick up the truck, leaving no time to find an alternative. Would I rent another U-Haul? Not after this experience, and I intend to spread word about my dissatisfaction with everyone I know. Pitiful performance.

Make sure that the equipment is clean and ready to go. I had to remove some trash from the vehicle, and the cab of the truck reaked of cigarette smoke. The top of the box, "mom's attic", was smashed in,the side view mirror on the passenger side was not adjustable, and the car trailer was not hooked up correctly. I had no working lights on the trailer at all, and I was not able to see behind the truck unless I laid down accross the seats. I made my reservation for 9am on 7/10/10 and the guy at the pick up location ended up giving me $20 for gas. He was going to go put gas in the truck while I was there, but I had a 1 week old baby with me and did not want to wait around for another 20 minutes for something that should have been done already. Also, when I originally called to rent the equipment, I was to pick it up in Gastonia, NC on 7/9/10. When I got there I was informed that they had no one way trucks available. When I asked why they told me that they had the equipment the young man replied "It wasn't me, I've been on lunch." The next time I need to rent a truck, trailer, or any other type of moving equipment, I will go with a different company. I am very disappointed.
