Customers should be made aware BEFORE they enter the location that cash payments are not accepted and that only one method of payment is accepted. Most people look online for information and to secure their rental. However, when entering the store without having reserved the rental online, it makes more sense for the U-Haul employee to make you aware of some of their stipulations BEFORE going through the entire process (finding appropriate vehicle, photo of picture ID, etc.). Having to leave without a rental or having to leave and then return again with a new form of payment is time consuming and aggravating for the customer. Moving is already enough of a hassle. Unnecessary nonsense from U-Haul that could have been avoided with specific info online or immediately in the store is ridiculous. In short (yeah right), when a customer comes into the store without having secured their rental already online, give them all of the particulars first.

Let me first state that UHaul’s CSR’s are nice people but.....there is no sense of urgency in getting the customer in and out in a timely manner. Uhaul use to have a way of doing things by way of company policy. I know because I worked for them for 2 years back in the early 1990’s. But now it seems that you’re at the mercy of the employee’s and that they are the ones to be served and you just have to wait on them. There is a total lack of training and knowledge and also some of the guys wear their pants WAY TOO LOW! So.....to sum it up, the equipment is more plentiful and in better condition than when I worked there but the customer service has deteriorated

We reserved a truck a few days prior to picking it up and when we got there the employee was in the process of giving it to someone else. Instead of fixing the problem, we had to get a van. There was no apologies from the employee who did it, only from the one helping us. He had to re-enter all of the information that was already entered, and it took a long time. We had already been waiting behind the person who got our truck for quite a while. I also clearly said numerous times we would need it until 8 pm, but I kept getting text messages saying it was due by 6:45. The whole experience was not great.

The only issue I had was I bought glass packs and the packaging said there was a box included. There wasn’t and I had to drive back to the store to retrieve boxes.

The TEAM at the Gordon Highway location are AWESOME! Always Customer Focused, fast and Friendly! Glad to see your new Facility being built on the Old Kmart. I was the Regional Manager at one time for Kmart and always liked the challenges that location offered. Best to your Team ! Keith

We were originally scheduled to pick up a 20ft truck at the Broad St location in Augusta. When we arrived, our order had been changed in the middle of the night to a 26 ft without my permission. There was no 20 ft available which was not acceptable. The person "helping" me did not even bother to find a location with the correct size truck. I had to locate one myself. We had movers, who we were paying by the hour, waiting at home. What should have been a simple pick-up turned into over a 2 hour ordeal. I would NEVER recommend the Broad St location.

Friday around Noon only one female was onsite to assist a half dozen customers who were there to pick up equipment. One person cannot do it all. Better personnel management and/or scheduling of personnel resources is needed. Thank you for allowing me to provide feedback. Return service late Saturday afternoon at approx. 5:30 p.m. was exceptional.
