Chris is a great agent for U-Haul. He saw That the right rear led light on the trailer was dysfunctional. Replaced the light unit on his own dime, so I could get on the road as planned. Great job Asent Automotive, and Chris.

This was not the original pick up location that we selected during the reservation process. In fact, this location was 1 1/2 hours away from our home (one way). This was conveyed to me via voicemail two days before the scheduled pick up. I found this to be incredible unacceptable being that I had place the reservation +/-1 month in advance and it was a huge inconvenience on top of preparing to move cross country. The pick up location itself was very nice and accommodating.

This U-Haul location doesn’t stand a fighting chance. The franchisee is also the owner of a very profitable, extraordinarily busy repair shop. He spends a ton of time fighting with outdated, unnecessarily complex U-Haul computer systems, a constant stream of walk-ins wanting service and/or a U-Haul, frustrated no doubt by the fact that his income is about 90/10 driven by the workshop. He didn’t have the trailer we had ordered on-line, an order that U-Haul confirmed in writing. The nearest alternative U-Haul was 40 miles away, in the opposite direction from our moving point. Blind luck stepped in; a similar trailer. which had been promised to another customer the next day, arrived two hours later at the workshop. Pity the guy tomorrow. Either upgrade the location with a different franchisee structure that can serve your customers properly, or start looking at the margins allocated to your locations — give them an incentive to serve your customers properly. And, while your at it, put a new franchise in Silverthorne, CO, where ALL the growth in Summit County is occurring.

We were looking at the bldg for the access to the car keys. Did not look for a free standing location IN the parking lot. It would be helpful if that was pointed out.

The online check in and check out process to get and leave keys is terrible. The guy, Chris, that runs the place is great but the system doesn’t work without him

Made a reservation 7 days in advance. Didn't received a confirmation. They didn't have the equipment.

Reservation for type and location of equipment changed several times in a four day span. Originally made res for 20 ft truck in Avon,CO area. Two days prior to scheduled pickup was advised that this equipment was not available so changed to smaller truck plus trailer at same location. Upon arrival in Denver was advised by phone rep that a 20 foot truck was available in Leadville,CO (approx 90 mile out of the way from original pickup point).Went to Leadville only to find that truck was locked! Failure of the Leadville franchisee. Contacted phone rep who worked diligently to finally find us a 20 foot truck back at our original pickup point,Avon,CO.The franchisee waited for us to make the drive from Leadville,CO and was very cordial and helpful.Approximately 200 miles into our 1500 mile journey the muffler separated from the tail pipe setting up a very ,very loud noise right underneath the cab and continued for the duration. Made the drop off station in Memphis aware of the situation.Other than those two MAJOR problems the trip went flawlessly! Should I be compensated for these? I think so.

We were charged additional money for extra miles, but the only reason these extra miles were driven was because uhaul changed our drop off location to a location that was over 30 miles away from the location we were supposed to be dropping the truck off, so not only were we charged for these extra miles, but also had to drive our own vehicle over 60 miles to get it there and spend close to 2 hours of our time since we had to travel over a windy mountain pass that a uhaul truck cannot travel over very easily.

The owner at the location was very helpful and I had a good experience. However the U-Haul website is terrible. The user interface is difficult to navigate and time consuming. I’ll never use it again. I will just call locations directly.
