Upon receiving the vehicle, the check tire pressure light was on and the two front tires were low. I spent 30 minutes and 4,00 $ on filling the tires; subsequently I was late returning the vehicle and charged for a second day rental. If the vehicle was ready for use I would not have been late with the return. My rental rate also changed because of my mileage but it was not stated that the rate would change prior to the rental; I estimated 110km and went 108km, was charged 19,95 $ for the rental, once returned i was told because I went over 100km the rate is 89,00 $Amanda P.

The cargo van I rented had not been cleaned and was full of both dirt and also had an incredibly strong smell of weed. I took pictures and made notes when getting my rental.Thomas-Benjamin K.
I was charged for fuel even when I put 10 litres of gas for driving only 50 km , I only noticed when I received my invoice on email... going back and arguing was not worth the time so I ignored but they should have mentioned this when I returned the key.Rohit S.
9' Cargo van had miscellaneous garbage inside and mushy smell, Some rotten food was on the passenger side seat. Soaked piece of rag was there between the two seats. The floor of the driving cabin and main deck had not been cleaned. When pointed out we were told homeless people have stayed inside the truck. Since it was an urgent job on a cold day I had to drive inside a stinky cargo van. JUST CLEAN AND PARK THE VEHICLE IN A SECURE PLACE WITH DOORS LOCKEDRajapaksha P.

The van was filthy inside and out; dirt, bits of cardboard, plastic that looked like it was broken off from luggage, cigarette butts. The outside was forgivable, due to weather, but the inside was not excusable. Also the interior lights of the van do not work; I had to obtain a flashlight to see inside the van at night, both cab and cargo area. There was also an unpleasant smell in the cab of the van and there was an air freshener that smelled almost as bad as the smell it failed to cover. The staff at the location were very polite and processed my pick up and drop off efficiently, but the vehicle was a disappointment in many ways. Maintenance and upkeep is seriously lacking.james E.

You can do nothing except saying sorry and wasting customers time. Please go and look at the truck youself would you like to pick up your stuff in a weed ladden filthy truck? A homeless person living in the truck with his stuff. The dealer dint even bother to check the truck . We could have fallen sick and contaminater ourselves after sitting in the gross truck that is the level of cleanliness you had. My wife threw up as soon as we opened the door and the customer just felt sorry. As per you customer service my time and effort is worth 5 $ discount. You dont deserve 0 or negative stars. I would never ever book uhaul or recommed uhaul to my friends and family.Anurag M.

The absolute worst moving rental experience I've ever had in 10 years with U-Haul! Incredibly poor customer service and lack of dealer training picking up and drop off after reservation. If you are moving within Toronto and GTA area, never, I repeat, NEVER rent from U-Haul. You're better off renting from their competitors (Budget, Enterprise, etc.).. When i arive the vehicle was not there, i had to wait and call to Uhall call center and the line was busy had to wait for long time and finally, they arrange a vehicle. Overall, i dont know the problem is with the online system or with the ppl. However anyone who need uhall service needs to be prepaird for this. The van had been returned only minutes before I came to pick it up. The store did not inspect the vehicle, and I had to ask them to sweep out the cargo area as it appeared to have been used to move plants or animals. It smelled awful and was full of dirt.Kendra F.

Not sure how we were charged so much for fuel (~$50 when we filled up to the full line) but it will definitely make us think twice in the future about using UHaul and recommending to friends. When I picked up the truck it had only 1/4 tank of gas. The person at the rental place told me to drive it to a gas station. The truck should be ready for me to use when I pick it up. You should not be telling customers to go get their own gas. And yes, this is different from having to return the truck with the same amount of fuel it started with.Eric F.
Brampton service was absolutely awful, tried to replace my 20 ft truck with a 9ft cargo van when my pick up location was Brampton and drop off was Burlington. And then had to call me multiple times during my move because they didn't sign it out right. Would never recommend Brampton service. Burlington was fantastic, they fixed Brampton's mistakes!!!Tony B.

Received a phone call the night before my move telling me that my truck wouldn't be at u-Haul I booked it at. I had to go to another location. I only knew of one so I went there it was the wrong store. They did not mention that it was at a furniture store and the trucks were not visible from the road.
