I tried to pu vehicle using text sent to my phone with no success. I went to Venus Market and employee tried to pu vehicle on his computer with no success. The employee(i think manager) gave up and pre authorized me $98 on my credit card so i could take vehicle as i already wasted 15 mins. The van windows need to be cleaned as visibility was poor. Needs to be cleaned on inside of vehicle. No problems during move as vehicle was excellent size. The last problem was trying to return vehicle. A different employee was there who indicated to call uhaul myself. I called the vancouver location which i seem to have better luck than the 1800 #. The uhaul rep couldn't calculate the total charge because terminals were down. He spoke to employee at venus who called manager(possibly same employee i dealt with when i pu vehicle). I put uhaul on speakerphone on my phone and employee put manager on speakerphone and it was decided that i can return vehicle and uhaul would send me email, which i recieved today. I had no issues with vehicle. The main issue is pu and dropping off vehicle. Note i did online check in which helped alot, or this could of been worse. Don't get rid of customer service in case customers have problems using phone.

There are miscommunication with the manager of this location. I was suppose to do this whole process through the mobile pick up. Instead when I got there they key was locked inside a lockbox, thankfully they were opened I that time. But the the app lead me to understand that they unlock the car remotely like many other companies do, in fact when I got there truck was unlocked which I believed was done through the system, so I returned I left the key inside which was what I understood from app since it did not give me any lock key code. One week later I get an angry call followed by a angry message from the location, complaining about the key and being EXTREMELY rude.
Agent spoke poor english, was not helpful at all. I had to enter information on her cell phone. Wasted 45 minutes waiting for the rental to be approved even though all the details were already entered online. I had ordered a dolly, but the dolly was not in the truck. The agent spent a significant amount of time trying to figure out how to get the dolly, then I said I would go without it. The dolly was still charged to me. There was no explanation or documentation of gas level and whether the vehicle needed to be refueled upon return. In the past, Uhaul agents have been very clear explaining to me if the vehicle needed to be refueled upon return. Google maps also had the location wrong, so time was wasted finding it.
I had an absolutely terrible experience renting a van from this location. I had planned to use the online uhaul app to process the rental (24/7 program thing). When I arrived at the location, the vehicle that was reserved for me was nowhere to be found. I went into the store and the person behind the desk called someone else who started asking for my information and I guess they started processing manually. I kept explaining that I just needed to know where the vehicle was but they wouldn't tell me ( the van with the license plate number that was reserved for me ended up driving by a number of times during the 40 minutes it took to get a van). The person working at the market then said he needed to take a picture of my credit card. I refused to allow this. I called uhaul and ended up eventually speaking to a scheduling manager named Ravinder. He told me the delay was my fault for not paying online with my credit card. I tried explaining that I was stuck at the step of trying to find the vehicle. I guess the person manually processing my request changed the vehicle on the reservation and I didn't know this. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the process to Ravinder and he became rude once I asked for his name and title. He told me the issue was me not paying online and that I wasn't very thankful for his help! This was a terrible experience and going forward I will be looking to use a competitor.
Better mobile pick up and less problem with online approval. Took me 40 mins to get approval because the uhaul system kept crashing. Also, the guy is not very polite and patient.
I was charged 30 dollars for fuel fill-up service despite that no one informed me at the pick-up about that. I asked the lady who managed my check-in (40 minutes of waiting while she had my license accepted) but she barely spoke English and just told me that I would have to pay for the fuel (just like at any other car rental place!). Didn't say a word about the 30 dollars service fee which is ridiculous. Also, she had no idea how the car works...which is not her fault I believe. But if I choose the personal pick-up I am likely to need help with handling the car...no one else was there... I wrote 2 emails to an e-mail address I received with the invoice where I should send my concerns but they never answered. I will never use this service again, I am extremely dissatisfied about the whole experience.
The Uhaul app needs to be revised since I couldn't pick up either return the van using it because of the glitches.
I couldn't understand employee very well. Cargo van wasn't clean inside or out. The windshield on inside very dirty, safety hazard. Should be cleaned immediately. It was very difficult to find parking spot to return vehicle. Ideally this vehicle needs it own parking spot like car sharing vehicles have. When I did find one, it was very difficult to park vehicle as size is big. The reason i chose this location was because it was convient, I live next door. I was very happy with u-haul customer service, understood rep very clearly and process was easy, excellent.
Worst customer service i ever experience will not recommend this place
Overall was a very positive experience.
The lady who was running the location did not know what was going on. She took photos of my credit card and driver's license on her personal phone, which I was not comfortable with.
The guy in the store was a ass hole phoned me to get your phone number and was very very rude then just hung up on me would never use u haul again no way to treat a customer and wouldn't take my call back P.S. pissed off !!!!!!!
Put some gas in the van! It was on E when I picked it up. Or rather, when it was finally handed over. The time was changed on me and location, twice in order to get the van I reserved at the time I had reserved it. Then they couldn't get into the lock box to give me the key. I was told to wait 30 min and I would get a $50 credit. I waited. No gas and no credit. I returned it with more gas than received. Very poor service.
