The worst U Haul location I ever been too.The one working( seems like the owner or his son) is extremely rude. First time ever the worker did not even bother to go check the vehicle with you and give you some brief info. Same thing happen when I returned the vehicle, he was supposed to check the vehicle by himself or with me. However, he yelled at me to check the vehicle to get him the milage . Are you fucking kidding me? Were you trying to give order to your customer? Their operator is horrible, this place need to be shut down. This location is showing a extremely image of U HAUL. Head Office need to investigate this location 's operation deeply .
All your trucks should be equipped with a secondary set of keys. The door lock was accidentally triggered with the truck running rendering the truck useless. Asked the desk for another set of keys to unlock the truck but was told they only have on set. Why you would rent a vehicle without an emergency set of additional keys is beyond me. Basically was told by the office I would have to figure out how to get the truck unlocked. Thanks for the help U-haul!
Overall, my experience with U-Haul was AWFUL. First off, the pickup location for my rental was changed the day prior to pick-up to a less convenient location for me. A relatively minor issue but reads as foreshadowing when taken as part of the whole experience. When I arrived at Symons Valley Rentals on Friday morning, I spent AN HOUR attempting and re-attempting to get the U-Haul app to allow me to pick up my truck. I would go through the whole process of uploading photos of myself and my driver's license and wait for verification only to be informed by the app's bot that "something" was wrong. After a conversation with someone on the customer service line, I changed my password and signed in again. It worked, only to lead me into the U-Haul office anyway to collect my key. TOTALLY USELESS AND FRUSTRATING WASTE OF MY TIME. I found the truck on the lot. It was in a laughably filthy condition. I have photos of the floor of the cab and the box showing that they hadn't been so much as swept - candy wrappers, metal tie straps, plastic debris, dust and dirt everywhere. The windshield was caked in bugs. During my drive on Saturday I opened the ashtray, thinking it was a cup holder, only to find it filled with cigarette butts. ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE, especially given the current public health situation with Covid-19. When making the initial reservation for the vehicle online I had input a pickup time of 10:30 AM, July 24 in Calgary and a drop off time of 8:30 PM, July 25 in Edmonton. I arrived at the drop off in Edmonton at 6:30 PM to be gruffly informed that I was "late," that the truck had been due at 11 AM and I was subsequently charged an additional day's rental fee. I had received no indication that the truck was due at 11 AM prior to this encounter. Solomon, the manager of the drop off location asked me for paperwork to prove my claim. I had received none from U-Haul. Thankfully, he reviewed the condition of the cab of the truck, which I had left as I found it, as well as photos I took of the rest of the vehicle when I picked it up. He gave me a phone number to contact regarding the errant "late" fee as well as the condition of the truck upon pickup. Sunday, July 26 I called the number provided and was told that I would receive a call in 24-48 hrs from a field manager to address the issue. Monday, July 27 at 1:57 AM I received an email, not a phone call, that comprised a single, rambling, run-on sentence. I'm just going to include it here: "Good morning looking at your contract your truck is due back in at 11 AM and did not come back until after six as the area field manager I did call to find out where this truck was because it was red line and was not in yet that's why you were charged the extra day" I'm uncertain what he's trying to tell me, but I can surmise that he's not likely to issue the refund for the late fee. The quality of communication, service, maintenance and interaction that I experienced with U-Haul was roundly abysmal. I will avoid using your company again.
The staff member was not wearing a mask, not interested in being there and the place was dirty and messy. Awful experience, especially with ZERO covid precautions. Will be sharing this. Never again.
Actually nothing, the truck worked well and saved me alot of money.
The 3 moving devices like a dolly, an appliance cart and a furniture wagon weren't in the truck at the pick up time but they will give me a credit so, all good so far! Thank you Jean

Place was closed before what their website said I'm returning the truck I wasn't able to speak to a U-Haul representative.
The office is a dump but the you g man inside was very nice. Just one employee on a Saturday is poor customer service
I have no bad experience when driving equipment in uhaul for so many times.i remember when i first rent a truck of uhaul to moved here in calgary from vancouver and it takes 12 hours.its really great and arrived safe,no mechanical problem happened.so i trust all the vehicle of this company and because before they give you the equipment they make sure that its clean and good running condition also employees were kind and well entertained.so i strongly recommend to all my friends this company.the price is much cheaper than the other rental services.
The only thing I can really complain about this place is that there was only one guy on the desk and the office is so small that because of Covid there was quite the lineup to get inside so it puts you way behind on your plans for the day. The clerk however was very efficient for one guy.
There was an wrror and the paperwork didnt match the truck we had. Drop off was Hawktree ti a dingy Husky location. Very disorganized, spoke to each other a lot in another language while we stood there. Deposit given back in cash, from a safe which was odd

The best location with a lots of different sizes of U-haul trucks and trailers. The best customer service they are providing. I rented several times and I got the trucks which were clean. they charge fairly. I recommend this place to everyone.
Filthy vehicle when I received it. Office is filthy and junky. Rude worker. Something has to be done about the mgt of this location. It is ruining your reputation.
Windshield wiper blade missing on truck. After hours contact number posted at site out of service. Uhaul website for returns crashed multiple times and unable to complete return.
The truck bed was dirty and the cab was not clean at all, but it the vehicle did it purpose for us

The only hitch during the process was IT related and led to delays with the booking. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
I'm not sure what happened, but the same truck had been assigned to both me and someone else, so we ended up having to wait almost an hour to get another truck. Fortunately there was another one available and the staff person was very quick and efficient to get us set up with it, once we got through the line-up. If possilbe, perhaps having more staff on hand on busy weekend mornings like that would lessen the wait time.
Truck cab was dirty with garbage from the previous renter in the door storage bin. Passenger side mirror was loose and not maintaining its orientation... big safety issue!
I made a booking and got a confirmation email saying to pick up the trailer at 10am. We did not get a call to say that the trailer was not available. After my husband left to get the trailer at 12pm I got a call at home saying that we needed to pick up from another location and it would be delayed by another 5 hours. I thought he already had the trailer, since he had been gone for an hour and must be almost home. That was not the case. He was at the location and the man was rude and wouldn't explain that he didn't have the trailer but just said to leave since there was no booking. The lady who called to reschedule said she would call back once I got in touch with my husband. When she did call she agreed someone should have called in the morning. I asked for her manager to call me and I still have not heard back. I think we should be compensated for the inconveniences caused by uhauls inefficiencies
I had my truck cancelled once and changed twice the day prior to pick up, all occurring at 8-10pm for a 6am pickup. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Moving was A terrible experience, when it should've been so simple.
