Bring equipment out and put on my truck. Not give it to me and make me do it myself. At least help. And computer problems took too long to enter my license and credit card had to do it 3 times. Plus rented before at a nearby location and was not in the computer at all at this just used location in Canandaigua Ny location First rented before in Victor Ny.

The instructions for picking up the truck said to logon to their web site and sign in. Their web site did not have a sign in feature. I finally called u-haul directly and after a 10-minute hold was able to receive instructions to pick up the truck. Otherwise we would have been unable to perform our move.

I live in Syracuse had to travel from Syracuse to Canandaigua to pick up truck and trailer when I made reservation for pick up at Erie Blvd location over a month in advance to be called 24 hrs before pick up date thatâ€™s there was not a 20 feet truck and trailer not available basically take it or leave it type of attitude I was given from your representative which made it a inconvenience for me and my family on my moving date that type of service is unacceptable. I had no choice. That was not right and I did not get a discount once I reached my destination i was inconvenience again had to return the truck at a further distance from my new home when there was a uhaul store around the corner from my house changing more money for mileage very poor service and unprofessional for a large nation wide service. Not happy with your service.

Put a crank down jack on your trailers! It is totally ridiculous that this poor guy had to physically pick up the tongue of the trailer and then hold it while I back up and get under it, which luckily I got in the right position on the first try. There has to be a better way. They must make a crank jack that is strong enough to hold up to the rigors of your rentals. Plus, the worst part is that I dropped the trailer off at a different establishment after they closed, around 5:30, which is fine in terms of self checking out the trailer using my phone, but the complaint I have is that I had no choice but to pick that trailer tongue up my self, which is the heaviest thing I've lifted in years, and I build houses and lift things for a living. Please put crank jacks on your bigger trailers, at least. Lifting over 100 pounds should not be part of the Uhaul experience!

When we arrived to pick up the truck, the staff were friendly and helpful. The problem was that the equipment we reserved (appliance dolly) was not there. Because of this we had to drive 30 minutes to a different location to pick the equipment up and then drive back to pick up the truck. Staff at uhaul (that we had to get the dolly from) were not helpful in this matter and it was a huge inconvenience. It should be verified that equipment is available at a specific location and ready at the time of pick up. This should not be the customer's responsibility to go and pick something up that should have been with the truck in the first place.

This location is terrible. I made the reservation online and then called them and discussed my needs with a man who works there. They knew I needed the vehicle on a Sunday and they never informed me that my reservation was sent to the corporate when I was speaking to them on the phone. A simple phone call to me to let me know would have shown that they valued their customers and that was not done. When I got to the location on Sunday to pick up my vehicle, I hadn't received an email and when I called customer service, which I was on the phone with for about an hour, there was no key waiting in the lock box for me. The district manager had to come to help me because this location was not organized enough to complete this rental. The uhaul was great, but if your company prides itself on good customer service, I would recommend you find a different business to work with in Canandaigua. When I called them yesterday to express my dissatisfaction, the woman I spoke to did not take any responsibility for the mistake that was made and blamed corporate for the issue. She didn't even apologize for not reaching out to me. I would like to request some sort of credit on my credit card for this ordeal. Because of this mistake, we lost out on an hour in the evening to move, which means we didn't get everything done we hoped. I am not asking for a full refund, but I think we deserve some sort of credit for the added stress this caused at an already stressful time in my life.
