I had booked a motorcycle trailer and it wasn't available when I wanted to pick it up. In fact, there was no motorcycle trailer within 50 miles. The website said otherwise. The local sales person told me I should call a 1-800 number and that was the end of his attempt to get me what I had ordered. Went to a different UHaul location in town and got a 5x8 utility trailer. I ended up with a product I didn't ask for, paid more money than planned and will work with a local competitor going forward.

I would not recommend the use of U-Haul in this area because there are a limited number of quality trucks available. I needed my truck at 10am for a 2 hour move. I was told the truck would be back by 11:30 and the previous customer did not arrive with the truck until 12:15. I lost $88 for an hour of movers during which I didn't have access to a truck. I also went beyond the 12 noon check-out time which caused me to incur late fees from the leasing company. I attempted to call the Regional office hoping to secure a truck from another dealer, but none were available. I just find this very frustrating to have happened during a midweek move. I appreciate the gentleman at Crenshaws Auto Service for doing all he could given the situation. I blame the company!

Really had no interaction with the place as it was closed and I did an after hours drop off. Facility needs improved signage. Uhaul sign is small and not obvious from the road - the place just looks like a sort of run down repair shop, which it is. The fact that it is also the UHaul site could be more prominently displayed. Also, signage for where to return parked trucks would be helpful for after hours drop offs.

I had been sent to Waynesboro (30 miles west of Charlottesville) to pick up a truck reserved for me a 5pm. The renter before me never returned the truck, so the uhaul owner in Waynesboro sent me back to Charlottesville for a self rental. Come to find out, the self-dispatch truck I was re-routed to was also reserved for a family that requested it 2 months prior!!!! I and the other family were at Crenshaw's auto service at the same time trying to rent the same truck. It was very awkward and very frustrating. Both of us were trying to move that evening and both of us were on the phone with the same Uhaul rep at the same time. I eventually got the truck because I had 'checked-in' online earlier, but the other family had to postpone moving their daughter to DC a whole day and likely paid for a hotel, and the father I believe had to get new airline tickets back to NY. I can't even comprehend how Uhaul's system/operations allows for such a mistake to happen. First time using Uhaul and extremely disappointed. I don't know were the blame primarilyy falls (Uhaul system, Crenshaw owner, Waynesboro owner) but someone needs to be held accountable

not the location's fault, but I cannot understand how you can rent a 20 foot truck to a person who reserved a 10 foot truck over 6 months ago. The difference in driving the much larger truck nearly 500 miles is significant.

I left a personal item in one the holders in the console. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until I had already placed the keys in the drop-box. I know it was in the center console because I went back and checked to see if it was there and it was. The item was a Vaping Device worth over $80.00. I tried calling the Crenshaw Auto location beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. I tried repeatedly to get in touch until 10:00 a.m. when I finally called U-Haul's Customer Service number. The representative was able to contact the Crenshaw U-haul location, but they lied to her and said nothing was left in the truck. These devices do not have legs, so it didn't just hop out of the truck and walk-off on it's own. The vehicle was secured otherwise I would've opened the door & took it out myself. You asked "What can we do to improve for the next customer".....Not a damn thing, cause you can't fix DISHONESTY, you're either an Honest person or you're not!! It's a shame because I'm getting ready to relocate to a new area, guess what company I WON'T be using....U-HAUL. Not even going to go into you're whole "Bate and Switch" tactics that you use. Now I understand why the people you have running your rental shops are so dishonest, it's a TOP-DOWN thing, starts at the top of the corporation and slithers it's way on down.

Respond to phone calls when your self service app is so buggy and horrible UX. We lost one day plus $100 penalty to movers for showing up in time but not been able to get the truck. You need to reimburse our $100 and give us a public apology with details of how you made us struggle for 2 hours 7-9pm on 03/30 and still failed to deliver the truck.

Smoking in the office made it hard to breathe. I used to be a smoker, it usually doesn’t bother me, but it’s a small office with what appeared to be multiple smokers. Other than that everything was great. Thank you.
