Overall customer experience was very poor. I checked in ahead of time but when I arrived to pick up the U-Haul it still took 30 minutes to get situated. Process of taking photos, getting verified, etc. very frustrating. Directions on process also unclear, which resulted in walking around the block multiple times (going from the key box to scan/verify location, going to find the truck, and then going back to grab the key). I also rented a dolly and moving blankets ahead of time, which were not available when I arrived (made my actual move more time consuming/labor intensive as the moving tools I planned on using were not available). U-Haul also changed the location for pick up an hour or so before the move, disrupting my plans. Overall awful experience. Would not recommend to a friend under any circumstance and will attempt at all costs to avoid using U-Haul for future needs.Zachary V.

My original reservation was made for a different location but because they had not set up the van to be 24/7 I wasn't able to get the original vehicle I reserved. I then called UHaul Customer Service and it took me 20 minutes for someone to answer. They told me that I would need to go to a different location to get a van. Luckily they were able to get it within 1.5 miles and so I had to walk there to get a different van. Location was okay, van was clean but whatever the air freshener was in the cab made it smell like pee. For getting the key I ha to enter someone's contact info so they could verify that I was the one in fact renting the van. Because my wife was also on the reservation I couldn't use her so I had to call my brother in Seattle to ask if he was around and could take a call. Once I was verified then I had to walk to the complete other side of the building to get the key. A process that should have only taken me 15-20 minutes ended up taking over 2 hours.... That isn't very convenient and was frustrating over all. Definitely disappointed.Jessie W.
this was the absolute worst experience moving of my entier life time. the person who manages the van at the location i went to never put the keys in the lock box after the previous user. I didn't know until after i had checked in because I checked in the system assumed I had keys i didn't so i couldn't cancel my reservation on my own i spent over 2 hrs on hold wasting my valuable time spoke to 3 different agents just to get this fixed. your service is horrific i would rather cover myself in paper cuts and dump rubbing alcohol all over my body than use your service againElizabeth W.
I went to 5 different locations and they didn't have my truck reserved at any of them. I took 2 hours out of my day to find a location with an available truck after I had 4 places cancel on me. U-Haul did a terrible job and will never use them againLuke R.

This location is just a lot. Nobody there to help if something is wrong. I ordered a dolly with the truck. No dolly. Couldn't get one. Sat on hold with U-Haul for an hour until I got passed around to people who couldn't help me then hung up on. Tried on the website. The agent in chat said they would annotate that I didn't get it. When I got the bill not only did they charge me but, despite me filling the tank back to where it was, charged me a $30 filling charge. I strongly recommend you go elsewhere. Was unable to receive passcode after approval and payment confirmation. Was unclear that it was a 24/7 truck share when reserving and my reservation was changed as I was trying to figure out the details. Customer service took 45 minutes to finally get me the passcodeMichael C.
This was a bad experience, ratings said otherwise but I guess I got unlucky. Staff on site did not speak english and the owner or whoever knows what to do with the keys was not there and was not going to come. I waited for about an hour after checking in only to get key for the incorrect vehicle. U-Haul changed the contract but this authorized-vendor location doesn't have the best system by relying on an individual to get your key rather than a lockbox system.William F.
It was still a good location, but it's very unclear what to do if you had issues getting your rental. Our rental truck did not have the numbers located in the front (later found them on the back of the vehicle) and the app did not indicate where to go if there were issues. I think the location wasn't the issue, but the mobile pick-up was not helpful at all. We lucked out by finding an employee at the car wash who got us in contact with someone with the U-Haul. However, we wanted to do mobile pickup to remain contactless during COVID. The car wash employee did not wear a mask when interacting with him and we had to use his phone to talk with the U-Haul rep. He also had to go into the key drop-off bin to get our keys for our vehicle. This location also didn't have dollys to use, even though when reserving online it let us reserve it (would've been nice to know it wasn't there or not guaranteed upon pickup). That being said, the rep was helpful and got our reservation going within the hour. I probably would rather go through the process of waiting in line inside a pickup location than go through the mobile pick up process.Kathleen S.

Mobile experience was pretty terrible overall. Took 20 minutes after i submitted my information to get approved, then the return process glitched and failed. My card was charged and I left the keys assuming it was fine even though it never actually confirmed that the process was completed. Overall 2/5.Nicholas G.

This was at a car wash but not clearly marked at all. I had to ask the car wash employees if they knew where the uhaul office was. It is the same as the car wash office. I used the mobile check in, which was time consuming and annoying. The car wash employee made me wait 8-10 minutes until he and his two teammates were done with a car, then he had to call some other guy on his cell phone to ask about my reservation. I was extremely annoyed. The mobile check in with an unmarked location was more time consuming than waiting in line at the main uhaul place in lincoln park ever was, plus I had to take multiple photos of the van to show its state. 10/10 would rather go to the LP uhaul place and wait in a long line of people buying moving supplies.Jessica K.

There should be information when reserving a vehicle here that it is not manned by personnel and that you MUST check out the vehicle either over the phone (and then provide the number to call) or on your phone. I was expecting to interact with a person, because I booked over the phone and that's what I was told. Instead I was delayed over 30 minutes while no one was there and the Auto Spa business guy really nicely tried to help me contact the person who should have been dealing with it.Emily H.
