When I made the reservation online, it didn't say anything about this location being self service only. I selected that I would check-in in person and I had paid for extra moving equipment - neither of which were available. We had A LOT of trouble returning the truck. We couldn't get a hold of help for over an hour so we were sitting in the lot unable to scan the QR code or get the website to work, which was very frustrating.Whitney H.

I had booked the trailer weeks in advance of the pickup date. I was informed the day prior to pickup that a trailer was not available at the location in downtown Chicago and advised that a trailer would be available at a different location about 1 hour away at the Illinois/Indiana border. When I arrived at that location on the pickup day, the location had no record of the rental and did not have a trailer available. I spoke with a representative by phone and a trailer was available at the the North Ashland address so I needed to drive back to Chicago to get the trailer. The associates at the North Ashland site were courteous and prompt with delivery of the trailer. Overall, a terrible experience with U-Haul in coordinating pick-up of a trailer in Chicago.LON P.

The pickup process via phone takes nearly 30 mins after waiting for a person to approve and taking all the pictures etc. The drop off time should be reflected in that, or tell customers to pickup 30mins before their slot. Thanks, DDavid M.

2020 North Ashland Rental LLCÂ 2020 N Ashland Ave Chicago, IL 60614 was closed early when the hours online said they would be open but they helped me reserve a vehicle for self check out. The check out process was tedious. Jessys Shoe Repair 2107 N Western Ave Chicago, IL 60647 was completely closed and just said he had an emergency when I called. He was not able to help at all so I went to the Ashland location. This location had poor service.Bryan L.
Have customers fill gas tank upon returning vehicle. Make sure tires are all filled to correct tire pressure on rentals. Also let people know that you need to have an alternate contact ready to be contacted and confirmed while trying to do self serve rental check out.Kevin M.
