Customer service/ employees were good. However the AC in the van did not work which was dangerous on a hot, humid day when moving heavy items. It turned on and made sound but did not release cool air. It was like driving in a microwave.JEFFREY F.
The key was not in the designated spot, the truck was difficult to find, and I was told the truck was being used after me but no one came after 3 hours (yes, I waited). Overall, just a tad bit frustrating.Sydney B.

The first van I attempted to rent had a problem with the seat which made it unsafe to drive. The second van was BEYOND FILTHY, full of trash, and stank of cigarettes (in fact there was a cigarette left in the van buly the previous renter). I let the distributor know that the van was in bad shape and he said "that's why I didn't give it to you in the first place and gave you the other van instead" but heavily implied that he was OK with giving the dirty van to the customer who was in line behind me. In addition to being NASTY, there is still a pandemic happening... rental cars are cleaned between users, shouldn't uhaul hold themselves to the same standards? After leaving the distributor I discovered numerous other issues with the van - a tire pressure problem, warning lights were lit, the horn didn't work at all, and there was smoke and water coming out of the van's exhaust. I really don't know how this vehicle passed inspection in its condition. The drive from distributor to old place to new place and back was extremely short and exclusively on side streets, AND I was under some time constraints, otherwise I would have returned this van too and demanded a new one. I hired movers through this location as well - the two gentlemen hustled, they were friendly and good workers, but there was damage to a coffee table (extensive scratching, looked like it had been turned on its side and dragged across a floor) and after they'd left I found damage to a dresser (corners looked like they'd been knocked against a wall) and headboard (long scratch as if it, too, had been dragged around). But the main problem was the complete lack of communication from the distributor. The distributor closed early so I could not speak in person when returning the van, and despite repeated calls and voicemails over the span of a week, no one from the distributor bothered to call back. When I finally received a receipt - via email, with no communication beforehand from the distributor - I found I had been charged twice for a rental of 12 furniture pads - which the movers who packed the truck apparently didn't even use. Yes this is petty but considering everything written above, I want that $5 back. Plus tax.ARYNE D.

I was upset because I could have verified my account before arriving at the location. So we were standing out in the cold waiting for a representative to call a verified contact. The truck was unclean - there were stains and refuse in the cupholders and there was a used lighter on the passenger side floor. Also, the cargo bed was dirty and dusty; it definitely hadn't been swept or cleaned since its last use. I was also concerned at the lack of health precautions taken by the people that operate the location given that we are in the midst of a global pandemic. There was no attempt made at this location to accommodate extra steps in cleanliness, sanitation, and social distancing, which have been outlined for businesses by the CDC and the WHO.Nathan H.
