It was confirmed for me to pick up in Mount Joy, but I was notified the morning of to pick up in Columbia instead. I don't feel like I should have had to pay the difference in the mileage from Mount Joy to Columbia and back, which was approximately 16 miles

These company locks on the trucks delayed my truck pickup two hours while we tried all the known combinations to get it open. Eventually the store had to cut it off.

I was upset that Uhaul moved my pickup location so far away, but the dealer was great.
While I had no issues with the rental itself, it must be noted that no employee or customer was wearing a mask even though ordered by the PA governer.
The staff there were absolutely fantastic. I had an issue with my rental, but they helped me navigate through it and got me on the road in no time. Thank you guys!

After not being able to access the key to the van yesterday, I rented the van today from the same place. Found out they gave me the wrong pass code to get the key. NO ONE SAID SORRY! Nothing was offered for the huge inconvenience of not being able to access the key yesterday. I was told the van was FULL of has and CLEAN so I signed off. ( stupid on my part...I trusted them!!) The tank was only 3/4 full and the back had a lot of wood chips in it. Too late..I already signed off. I went a total of about 10 miles and ended up having to put in $16.49 in gas to fill it up. After arriving to drop off the van, once again, NO ONE SAID THEY WERE SORRY. They talked to me like I really wasnt there...i tried to tell them my issues and thry eere like ok hsve a great dsy. Totally brushed me off. I wont rent from them again..dont believe I will buy from teir hardware store agsin either. They lost a customer....if only they had been even a bit empathetic.......sorry means so much!!
I gave high marks because I have used this location with counter pick up and had an excellant experience. Today, however was not a good experience! I reserved a van. I enter all my information online...no problem. I go to get the key out of the lock box. The manual lock would NOT open to access the key. I tried over and over w/no success. I called U Haul...on hold 25 min waiting for a real human. Got a hold of a lovely lady who worked with me and the regional manager. Keep in mind its 39 degrees outside and snowing. I cant go to my car because the lock box is up on a porch. There were 3 lock boxes there...the top one...the only being used. WHY??? Its so high up...it was hard for me to see and reach. Why not use the lower unused one for ease of access? I digress...after 30min on the phone with the nice lady and manager and 3 codes later, we gave up. I was transferred to the schedulder so my reservation could be cancelled. 30 more min of being on hold I finally was connected with another very nice person. My reservation was cancelled. This was not UHauls fault...this was the PU sites fault. I chose New Years day to move things cause parking for the van was free and I had off work. I had to reschedule. I was really inconvienced by this. I had to take a day off work and will have to pay for parking if I can even find parking risking a ticket by double parking. Not so sure I will ever use after hours pick up again at Frickes Hardware.
I was charged a cleaning fee of $25.00. I was informed this is Uhaul's policy. I asked to use a broom to sweep the 1/2 cup of soil from a plant. "None available!" I was informed the back also needed hosed out but they dont allow Uhaul renters to use their equipment. In conclusion; a $19.95 rental ended up costing over $75.00!

The battery was shot. I had to get it jumped everywhere I stopped. But, the folks at Frickes Hardware took very good care of me and were very pleasant to work with.

U-HAUL IN GENERAL WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! Thank his Fricke Hardware was so awesome and helpful but U-Haul customer service was awful. Your computers crashed and we were suppose to meet the person we were buying couches from at 10:00am and didn't get there until 10:57am because your website wouldn't approved us to leave until your website said so. I never want to use U-Haul again.

No need for improvements at Fricke Hardware. Service is above excellent. They are very positive kind people that are very helpful. I will always rent the cargo van there for my business needs.
I chose the ride share 24/7 option to obtain my rental prior to store opening. When I got there at my requested time, I was able to check in online but still had to wait 30 minutes for the store to open, then spent a significant amount of time on paperwork, etc. I left with the the rental nearly an hour after I first arrived. I was incredibly frustrated that my time was wasted. If this location cannot provide rentals outside if business hours, that should not be an option on the uhaul website.
I reserved my u-haul trailer a week ahead of time at a specific location because its right next to the store i needed to pick up wood from to fix my fence. I go to pick up the trailer with my confirmation number and i am told its at a different location 15 miles the opposite direction of where i needed to be. I didnt get any emails or phone calls changing my reservation only the lady at the front desk of my pick up destination saying its somewhere else. So i had to drive an extra 30 miles to pick up the wood for my fence because no one let me know they changed my reservation pick up location.
