It took Robert from Rent-all 2 hours to sign me out my truck, and another two hours to return it. The sheer level of ineptitude displayed at this pick up location is mind blowing. This location is the most terrible experience I have ever had with U-Haul. Next time I'd rather hand carry my furniture than rent from Rent-all.
Robert has no computer skills whatsoever. It took two hours to reserve the truck as I had to help him navigate his own computer. Then when I came the next day to pick up the truck it took almost three hours because he lost the keys . I watched numerous customers leave because the wait was so long. Then I was forced to rent a 26 foot truck . After I personally had to talk on the phone with head office because he kept accidentally signing himself out of his own computer to the point that it crashed on him. Then the next day when I returned the truck another hour and a half watching him fumble around on his computer again . I wasted almost 8 hours of my weekend frustrated in that dealership. He needs to hire some help big time. He's a very kind and hard working man but so overwhelmed by himself its ridiculous.
The fellow that was waiting on our order was overwhelmed with the scope of the job. Could us some help with the operation. Especially at peak times. My wait was long, probably also due to the covid 19 situation... Thanks
Site was filthy, looked like a hoarder lived there. Behind the counter was a complete mess. The worker behind the counter was completely incompetent. Took over an hour just to get our trailer.
The gentleman needs another person to much for him to do this is in courtenay.
This location always has a long wait with customer service. I have sympathy for the guy who runs it: he is in way over his head. He just doesn't have the ability to keep up with a normal flow of customers. Unfortunately, I have seen others customers verbally abuse the counter guy. I know the regional office is trying to help, but someone needs to think outside the box on this one.

When I arrived for my 8am 24/7 pickup the vehicle was not available and a message said I had to come back at open hours. After driving back home I received a call from the owner Robert informing me that he didn't know how to put a key in the lock box to make 24/7 rentals happen. It was a frustrating experience. Robert is a really nice guy and very personable but in terms of managing a UHaul location I would say he is not able to meet expectations.
Honestly this was the WORST customer experience I have ever had. I had been recommended to work with the people at Kean Auto on 29th Street as they had better overall reviews. I went to them and booked the equipment very easily and in a timely manner and had a great experience with them. Unfortunately they booked me for a 20ft truck instead of the 15ft truck I was hoping for, but that was not a huge issue so I left it alone. When I received my pickup location email I was disappointed to see that the pickup location had changed. I had hoped for my pickup location to not have changed as they were open an hour earlier and would give me another hour of time to load the truck. None the less I went to pickup my equipment. My scheduled equipment pickup time was 10am. There were 3 customers ahead of me, 2 dropping off equipment and 1 picking up. The lot was disorganized and the only person working was late to the shop by about 15 minutes, was also disorganized, his shop was an absolute pig pit, and he took 3 HOURS to finally get to my SIMPLE equipment pickup. At this point about 4 hours of my time had been effectively wasted. When it was finally my turn to get my equipment to man running the location could not figure out how to run his computer and internal software and systems, but continuously asked for my assistance with his equipment. After about 20 minutes of him fumbling with his computer and multiple Uhaul tech support phone calls, he decided that he needed to run to his car for something, which was parked 2 blocks away because his lot was so unorganized he had nowhere to park his personal vehicle. He handed me his store phone with a Uhaul tech support worker still on the line, and exited his shop while there were 4 customers inside. After about 3 minutes the tech support worker was also wondering where the shop worker was and started asking if anyone was on the line. Me, still holding the store phone answered and began talking to the Uhaul tech support worker. He asked me for the vehicle tag numbers, completed the check-in, sent me my confirmation, and had everything sorted out in less than 5 minutes, which should have been the case in the first place. The shop worker then fumbled with the paperwork, keys, etc, and I was finally on my way 3 HOURS AFTER my scheduled pickup time. I was not told how to use any of the equipment, the van, NOR the autotransport, the interior of the truck was not cleaned, and while the shop worker offered to clean the windscreen of the truck, I declined as it would have wasted more time that I did not have. At no point in my experience did the shop worker seem to understand that he was wasting everyone's time.Therefore, I will NEVER recommend to ANYONE that they rent from, and pickup their Uhaul equipment from this location. The shop was absolutely disgusting, not clean or organized, and the shop worker clearly had no idea what he was doing.
I really love the idea of the app, but there were problems with it on the day I used it both in the pick-up and drop off. I hope these will be ironed out as I liked using it otherwise.
Robert is super nice but it took me almost 4 hours to get my rental. Not ideal when you need to move.

Slow, disorganized, no one there for return despite it being within hours AND after the return sign on the door, no printer for documents
i would recommend this simply because it is the only game in town - however if you rent here make sure you get there 2 hours ahead of the time you need it because unfortunately Robert the owner - who is very friendly and kind - is also a little disabled and doesn't have any help - so the checkout process can be very lengthy. I will continue going there but will be aware of these problems - which if you look at other reviews are pretty much the experience of most people
Worst U haul Location Ever, no staff, the place is a dump, took him 3 hours to process 4 simple pre-booked truck rentals, has no computer literacy, no customers service skills. I only rented there as they were the only location within 60 miles that had a pickup to rent. I should be compensated for my 3 hour wait time.

Robert needs help there. Too many customers standing waiting. He needed someone to do the running outside & getting customers on their way so he could focus on getting the paper work inside done. Too much for one person.
I know you get alot of complaints from this place. But representative was barely on time. I waited an hour to get a pickup truck. I was second in line. And the showroom smelled strongly of gasoline.
The gentleman at the counter was really nice but very slow. We had completed the online checkin and it still took us 45 minutes to get the truck. Also when we called UHaul to book they said this location had early/before store hours pick up which they did not and it set us back quite a bit with our move.
-truck was not cleaned ahead of time, and when we arrived it was cleaned with a filthy rag. - even though I had done the online check in, he was not aware we were coming, and so a process that was supposed to be expedited due to Covid took over an hour, with multiple face-to-face contacts -After pick up, we drive to get fuel. At which point the transmission stopped worked, while parked at a fuel pump. -Robert took other customers while still helping us -at one point there were 5 people in a small space. No Covid practices in place.
After 3 previous reservations and attempts to rent I was finally able to get the rental that I was needing on the 4th attempt. If you make a reservation have it available
truck was boxed in and still hooked up to a vehicle trailer. attendant was not helpful
Pre pickup staff were completely unhelpful with questions over the phone. I called and he told me to give him my information so he could call me back. I called him back twice and each time I had to give him my name and phone number and question (he never called me back). When I went to the store to pick up my reservation it was incredibly dirty and disorganized with papers and equipment strewn every. Rat feces was prevalent inside as well. Only one staff member who was completely incompetent. I arrived at 10:15 (15 minutes after opening) with one customer in front of me. I wasn't helped until 11:15 and I was leaving U-Haul at 12:45. Staff member answered calls and started berating customers on the phone while I was present. Then would have to start my reservation from the beginning 3 times because he didn't know how to use his POS system. He also showed zero regard for social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic and his store had zero precautions put in place.
