Trailer had mechanical issues. Worker left the security chain completely loose to drive off and drag in the road. I had to stop and check everything, and secured it myself.CHASE C.

I dropped off the trailer after hours. This was the closest location to me with 24 hour return. At first, it was a little challenging figuring out where to return the trailer, because the logical place to return was blocked by four pizza delivery cars. After speaking to one of the pizza delivery people, they finally moved their cars so I could unhook the trailer and put into a spot next to the other Uhaul trucks. Other than the hiccup with the pizza delivery cars, it was easy to do a return after hours there using the Uhaul app.Victoria C.

Have the employee check me in when I'm returning a huge truck and not lock up shop and go home. This left me in a horrible position 75 miles.from home with no available lodging in the city of escondido on a Saturday night. This forced me to drive the truck home. Spent another 75 to return truck full of gas and I tried the next day to return to my local uhaul. Local uhaul said escondido could charge me 300 for leaving it locally. Got a phone call Monday at 7 am to return the truck to escondido or else... I drove the truck 75 miles to escondido spent another 75 to return the truck full to escondido . I asked for a handwritten note to have proof I returned the truck. I was told the manager would call me in 1-2 days. Today marks two weeks and have yet to hear from someone with authority to deal with this situation. I advised 1 800 uhaul of the problem immediately and have paid so far 176.00 at pickup. 4 fillups at 75 each = 300 and then today I see another hold for 176 has been placed on my American express without even 1 phone call in 2 weeks by anyone including 800 uhaulJennifer W.

For the first time, I have a complaint. The confirmation email for my rental correctly stated that I had reserved a 10' truck. However, upon arriving for pickup I was informed that my rental was for a van instead. Didn't have the email with me, so couldn't disprove. Then was informed no 10' trucks were available at the moment, so had to rent a 17' truck and was charged significantly more for its use. Hope that won't reoccur when renting next time.Scott S.

There was only ONE man doing all the work on a SUNDAY! Several people were in line before and after me and I had to wait 45 minutes until it was my turn. Unacceptable in manpower and wait time. And, my wife attempted to use the bathroom there--no toilet paper, no soap, and no paper towels--how can this be COVID acceptable?? And, I provided my cc number ahead of time online. When I arrived, it had to be shown again. Why ask for it in the first place?? Home Depot has a MUCH faster turn around time and the bathrooms are clean--this is my LAST time @ U-Fool rentals (not a misspelling).Steve F.
Very upset with UHaul as I reserved a car hauler to be picked up in Ramona CA. Three hours before my pickup time I was informed by U Haul that my pickup location changed. They failed to tell me on the phone that my pickup time also changed. This cost me an extra trip of 60 miles round trip as I drove out to the pickup location at the time of my original reservation. I don't understand what the purpose of making a reservation is if U Haul can't keep it. This change lost me an entire day on my trip. Very dissatisfiedRaymond L.
This weekend was an absolute shit show thanks to Uhaul. I had originally made a reservation for a Fallbrook location but the day before my pickup they said that truck never arrived so I had to pick it up in Murrietta. Not a problem as it is on the way. Then the day of my Uhaul reservation, I was told that the staff forgot to leave the key out and therefore my only option, within 100 miles, is to drive an extra 20 miles to Escondido. This is absolutely unacceptable as I had people waiting on me to arrive and had no other choice. Please - do better.THERESEANN R.
