The mileage on the truck did not match the renter paper.It was 9. miles off. The mileage on the truck at the beginning was 3310, instead of 3301 as stated on the paper. Thanks

I was charged more then what I reserved a trailer for.. when I went to pickup the trailer I was asked again for my credit card then I was charged more money then what I was to pickup... Totally outrageous!!!

My reservation was moved 10 miles away at the last minute. If I didn't have family in town to get me there, I wouldn't have been able to pick up the truck at all. My original rental location was easily accessible via public transit. To add insult to injury, the fuse for the trailer lights was blown. This wasn't found until I picked up the trailer from a separate location that was also not the one I made my reservation at. At the second location, it took them 2 hours to find a burned out fuse, despite being an auto repair center. That was the first thing the front desk lady suggested, but apparently the 6 mechanics who looked over the truck are all a bunch of sexist morons who can't even operate a multimeter. I'd fire every last one of them if I were running that shop. I will never rent from U-Haul again after this horrible experience.

The location I dropped off the trailer was great. However, the direction I had received was to drop off 30 miles away. While en route to this distant location, I saw the Fairlawn location. The owner was gracious and said it was okay to drop at his location. This was excellent and the owner made it easy for me. I really do not understand why I was directed initially to such a far away location.

Worker at the Foodette was rude and not helpful, and didn't seem to understand how the mobile pick-up process worked.

Change locations. This location the people are rude and try to tell you something different than what was said originally. They tried adding a promissory note and fee on our contract after we returned truck that wasn't on our contract we received originally. After dropping the key off our card was declined for whatever reason and instead of calling and telling us to call back they threatened to call the police if we.didn't pay immediately. Customer service there is horrible. Will never go back or recommend to anyone else.

No padding in truck. Agent who set up reservation stated I would not be billed for mileage to and from facility but I was. Multiple attempts to make reservation fraught with incompetent agents. I stated I needed truck from 0800 Saturday until 0800 Sunday. My reservation was submitted as 16:30 to 22:30. Really? Six hours? Same fee? Told the charge would be $29.95 because the location had no 15' to 17' trucks. Charge was $39.95. In summary: poor customer service, lack of veracity in charging, outright fabrications about how I was to be charged. I will NEVER again use your service and will, within the laws of this Commonwealth, advise my customers, friends, family, etc. to avoid this deceptive organization. Please feel free to contact me if you need further edification of this rental review.

It is not the location but the trailer that I received. The location was about 15 miles from the location that I rented on line from. By the time I drove to where my daughter was one chain had lost the caribiner that secured the chain. It wasn't until I emptied the container 6 hours later did I realize that there was a large slice in the roof and water leaked all over the mattress and rug in the trailer. I will be filing a claim.

Person was rude. Demanded an older man with heart condition drag the heavy dolly inside the store so he could copy a number off of it. Tried to charge $200 for said dolly if not brought inside. Delayed customer departure so he could call someone to ask if he could demand customer brought dolly inside the store for him. Ignored comments about dangerous tires. Terrible experience!!

The store owner could not leave his store to help us hook up the trailer. There was also a communication barrier. We had trouble understanding him. We had an issue with our hitch (the ball had to be swapped to the other side of the bar so the trailer would be level) and he had no way to help us fix it. We had to go up the road to an Advanced Auto and fortunately they were able to do the swap and weren't even going to charge us for their help. Then the light hook up cable he provided we discovered at the end of our 4 hour trip, had dragged on the ground the entire time damaging it and so the brakes and turn signals stopped working at some point in our trip. Fortunately we were not pulled over by the police. And when we returned it, we were not charged. We were delayed getting on the road by an hour and a half because of the ball swap that needed done, the cables being tangled up and waiting on the man to come assist us. Not a pleasant experience at all. I called Uhaul's 1-800# as I was told when I had the hitch installed at a Uhaul dealer a month ago, if I had any trouble I could call Uhaul anywhere in the US and they could help me. When I called to get assistance on the rotating of the ball on the hitch, the only thing Uhaul could tell me was I could go to Roanoke, VA (40 minutes away) and they could help me. Fortunately Advanced Auto was close by and eventhough they were under no obligation to, they did the change for us. Also, we had to drive 10 miles out of our way (10 miles further from our requested pickup location) and it turned out to be at some run down store in the middle of no where. At this point of our trip, we are not happy with Uhaul.

I was told that I was upgraded at no additional cost and was charged for the larger moving truck anyway. I unfortunately had to pay the additional $10+. This has left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably won't rent from U-Haul again.

The van was clean, well maintained and new (only 4316 miles). The rental office was old and drab. I would recommend this place to others only after warning them of the rental agent's abrasive personality. BTW, we did our reservation online so only had to pick it up from the office.
