I pre ordered everything online so that my dad could just show up and get the truck and dolly. When he got there they would not charge the equipment to the credit card I put on file and they did not have a furniture dolly, even when I requested one.

Windows were dirty on the inside. Truck was very loud and didn't seem to have the pickup that it should. The truck also had a whining noise that continued throughout the move.

This was my first time using uhaul. The service was good and the process was easy. However, the pricing is very misleading. You flash a giant “$19.99” on the side of the truck and I’m charged $74.00 for less than twenty four hours. Seems a bit off. The other thing I didn’t care for was that the person at this location that helped me didn’t go over the insurance options. My insurance covers these kind of rentals and when I get the receipt in my email and see that I paid for the highest tier “optional” coverage has me a little aggravated.

As usual the owners are rude and not helpful but bossy and pushy. When we arrived a small child who was with the owners began yelling at us. Then a woman came out and insisted that we back the trailer in a very small, tight space in the grass around many others. We got it in the space but apparently it didn’t line up exactly where she wanted it and yelled from a distance to put it back further as my husband was unhooking it. She did not offer any help only rude directives. She was picking flowers while we were dropping it off.

Have better computer knowledge. It took over 20 minutes to get processed in. The cost was way too much. I wanted one way, but they didn't have that available so I paid over $550 to take my daughter to Charlotte, because I had to return the truck to Radford. Not a happy person.

This location did not have the dolly that I paid for online. The location had only one heavy dolly that was $5.00 more. This expensive dolly did not have any straps to secure items. Also, this was not the location that I agreed to online. An e-mail was sent with a new location that added more distance for me. It is that time of the year when parents have to move their college bound children, so we do what we have to do in limited time. The location and the dolly was not fair. I should have been charged $7.00 for the dolly without straps. The new location added at least $10.00 more in gas for the truck (mileage), because I had to drive out of the present area to get the truck. That location was not given to me in the reservation.

To be honest I don't know why uhaul partners with foodette and Mr. Patel. This is my second time using this location and I was giving Mr. Patel the benefit of the doubt this time around. To say the least I was disappointed yet again. His location is dingy and musky and his customer service skills are none existent. He claims that the insurance fee is automatic but on the website I specifically choose the option not to add insurance. Then he goes on to charge me for the insurance after I return the van even though at check in I told him I did not want it. He processed my order without going over any charges and said have a nice day to which I questioned Mr. Patel why the charge was so high. It took him some time to finally admit that I was charged for a service I did not want. Also the cargo area was extremely dirty and luckily I cleaned it out for him because I'm sure he would have charged me for that TOO. WHOEVER THE U-HAUL DISTRICT MANAGER IS SHOULD REALLY BE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS LOCATION AND REMOVE YOUR PARTNERSHIP WITH MR.PATEL! Just look at previous customer reviews and you can see a pattern of shady behavior from the foodette location in Fairlawn, VA!

I don't believe the trailer lighting worked. He advised me to go to advance Auto to get fused checked. He would not let me use his restroom in his facility. Ok guy but lacking normal social skills. If I did not have alternate sub would not have been able to move soon to his new Apt. Average at best. This guy needed more help at his store. I believe he was Indian background.

The process for renting the van went smoothly. I reserved it in the evening for the following day, and it was ready earlier than i had reserved it. The rental folks called me that i could pick it up earlier if i chose. They were very nice and helpful.

I did not feel that this vendor was trustworthy. I recommend taking before and after pictures of everything. He saw me doing that or else I am sure he would have tried something. He was rude and difficult to understand. He conveniently left off my dolly so that I had to pay in cash. Also, my bill was more than what the initial price was quoted by uhaul which I find ridiculous. I plan on calling uhaul to understand my charges better. I would have rather used the smaller truck at the other location and made several trips. I am upset that it was not an option.

The gentleman at the store was very polite and friendly. The van that we rented had not been cleaned inside, it had dog hair all over the seats and smelled like dog. The cargo area had not been swept out.

My problem is that the site was not the equivalent one requested and we were told of the new location, one full hour out of our way, at 9:45 PM the night before pickup. This isnt a decent time to call regarding business.

I made the reservation for size 17 Truck and few days before my scheduled pick up they called me and said they only have a truck size 20 for the price of 17. I was confused and I talked to the storage unit main office (Tuckit Stoarge Unit) and they told me that only Truck’s sixe 17 can access the storage unit. I tried to call to modify the reservation but no one answered so I canceled it and booked the right Truck size. I went to check it out and they say they don’t have it. I called the U-haul management number and they scheduled me for Saturday at 1:30 and assured me that the truck would be there. I called the office at noon but no one answered. I called u-haul and they said the office doesn’t answer so I went there but there was no Truck available. I went to other dealers in the area but with no luck and after calling the U-haul management number They found me Truck in different city further and it was Truck size 15. I was desperate so I took it and used it but I had to leave some furniture item back because they didn’t fit in the truck. I was charged for the exterior miles, wasted time, stressed, went back to storage to get all the stuff using my personal car, and this was my first time ever to use U-Haul and it is going to be the last one ever. Thank you for guarantee your rental as your $50 is not enough which cost more money that I didn’t have to pay for just to rent your truck!! Please fix your system, coordinate your truck better, infor U-haul dealers and ANSWER YOUR PHONE!! Mine is 202-714-6619 and try to call me if you like

Very Unethical in treating customers. Called saying they would close at 12 noon on Saturday, I rushed to pick up the truck, but found out they didn’t close until late evening. After return they charged $20 cleaning fee, there was nothing to clean about. Avoid this place if you can.

I use U-Haul a lot and always do the express check in and this time for some reason this place was asking me all the questions I had answered. The trailer had mud in it apparently this location doesn't check to see if the equipment is clean witch is completely unacceptable. As far as the guy checking me in he was nice and friendly nothing bad to say about him in general. Just needs to make sure the equipment is clean and have wheelchalks for tralier to keep them from rolling when hooking them had to look around the lot to find brinks and rocks to I could unhook.

The mileage on the truck did not match the renter paper.It was 9. miles off. The mileage on the truck at the beginning was 3310, instead of 3301 as stated on the paper. Thanks
