They charged me before I returned the truck then charged me again. The manager left rude voicemail and tried to have me call his personal number instead of communicating through official channels or through the store. I will be filing a lawsuit against uhaul for fraud. This is the second time uhaul has charged me twice for same rental and it appears to be SOP for them. Another customer came in and was dealing with same issue as me. Uhaul employee took my copy of rental contract and ran off with it inside building and it was never seen again but it was on video.

There was no one to assist me when I cam into the location. This is NOT the first time this has happened. I had to call the location from inside the store only to find out the associate was hanging out in the bathroom. The U-haul provided smelled like body odor and cigarettes. Disgusting. I feel that I should be reimbursed.

The in store experience seems pretty repetitive of the online process. I’m also confused as to why all information was changed to my primary driver’s name. I’m still the customer if I’m paying for, insuring, and coordinating the rental service.

My final bill showed that I was charged for a utility dolly that I was not given nor did i use. I have made multiple attempts to have the problem rectified, however the customer service given by the store manager has been non-existent.

I was disappointed in the check in procedure. I rented a cargo trailer for 8 hours and when I received my receipt the next day I found I was charged for two days rental. I tried calling the store, on the 27th, several times but no one would answer the phone and it kept rolling over to an answering service. I left a message with the answering service for the manager to call me and as of this writing (10/31) I have yet to be contacted. I also contacted 1-800-GOUHAUL, on the 27th, and spoke to a customer representative ( she was very nice and polite ) and explained the overcharge. She pulled up the receipt and saw that I had not even had the trailer 24 hours and shouldn't have been charged for two days. She took my number and said someone will be contacting me within 48 hours. As of this writing, 10/31, I have yet to be contacted by anyone from UHAUL. I live in Indianapolis and had to drive to Ft. Wayne, go to the store and have the associate on duty call the manager to have my credit card refunded the extra day charge for the trailer rental. I am not only disappointed with the Ft. Wayne store but also with UHAUL Customer Service. As a result, my parents are in the process of moving to Florida and have decided to use a Penske rental instead of UHAUL.

It took a little while to find my reservation, the truck was not cleaned and had to wait while it got cleaned out therefore it was wet and slippery inside . I could not complete my move because I requested an appliance dolly and discovered that was not inside the truck , by that time the location was closed . Employees were nice but had no sense of urgency.

We did not reserve our truck at this location, only our dolly. We did however, return our truck to this location. The manager of this location needs to have more employees working the counter and a more knowledgeable one. When we returned our truck here, there was only one employee working and we waited a long time to turn in our truck. We couldn't wait anymore and handed him the keys and told him we had to leave. He said okay, took the keys and we left. That is not good customer service. Also, the store in Jonesville, Michigan where we picked up our truck could not put our reservation in your computer because the webpage/server was down. We had to wait 45 minutes and then after all that waiting the employee had to do our reservation on paper instead of the computer and he did not have the equipment we requested. Uhaul needs to get their act together!

I asked for a truck at a location closer to my home and they refused to take a truck to that location making me go to the ghetto of Fort Wayne to pick up the truck the drop it off after hours in a location not safe for anyone really that late and dark. I had to look for the key drop it was not a pleasant experience. Not to mention the added cost added by not having the truck at the spot I made the reservation for. I will definitely be looking into other options next time.

Pickup was smooth and professional, but very manual when compared to other locations. The problem came after I returned the vehicle. I returned it after hours on a Saturday evening and I had to call twice on Monday and once on Tuesday before I was able to get an invoiced emailed to me so that I knew the final charges. Every other location I've used has this to me almost as soon as they open the next morning, without me needing to call.

Wait times. I picked up the truck early so there was no wait. The employee was friendly and very helpful. When I returned the truck in the afternoon it took over 30 mins...! The employees were again very friendly, but there was not enough of them.

I had a 26' truck reserved. When I went to pick it up, I was told that it was not available and the only truck they could give me was a 15'. I obviously had to make additional trips since it was so much smaller.

10/6/18 reserved a 26 ft truck, picked up, realized on way to destination approx 3 miles from start. Oil light was on and oil pressure gauge was at zero. Called uhaul they called wrecker service which did not arrive for 2 hours . We were paying 2 movers during this period. Wrecker guy determined oil 3 qts low and gauge was broke. Took him an hour to get permission to try and fix guage. (Still paying movers) called uhaul to rent another truck . Got Beth who said she was at the Washington blvd location and said they had a 20 ft truck. We went to pick it up and manager said we don’t have a truck and Beth doesn’t work there they just say that. We cancelled 20 ft truck order . ( ( got call from uhaul later asking if we want 20 ft we reserved . Told them we cancelled at washintobvblvd uhaul. ( get email the next saying they charged us 50$ for reservation)Went back to where the 26 ft truck was wrecker repair guy had not returned with part yet. We gave up disgusted. ( must say wrecker service was excellent trying to help). Called uhaul told them they would have to pick up truck. Which they eventually did. Why was truck 3 quarts low with bad oil gauge allowed off the lot ? Who will compensate us for non used rent fee and paying our movers for doing nothing? Other than this review email never heard from uhaul customer service on how they could make amends after truck was picked. We were not impressed, with customer service after the fact. Most likely will avoid uhaul in the future.

When we retuenws to pick up our tow dolly. The left tail light was not working, so we had to wait more than hour to havw it fixed. This delayed us from leaving for our) hour trip until 6:30 pm instead of 5:30
