Have trailer completely hooked up to truck and ready to go. This location made customer put car on trailer and secure car to trailer.

I had to dig the trailer out of a snow bank. The trailer had ice built up in the wheel well such that I had to chip it out to allow clearance for the tire. When I arrived at home I discovered there was a padlock on the door so that I could not gain entry. A call to the pick-up location and they told me to cut the padlock off. I had to go and purchase a bolt cutter with sufficient capacity to cut the padlock. The inside of the trailer was dirty and prior renter left paper and wood scraps in the trailer. I was not pleased. During my rental the right side tire failed and I had to wait at a truck stop for two hours waiting on a vendor to come replace both tires.

There was only one outside worker & 2 persons were required to get the hitch connected. So my 70 yr old husband with a bad back worked with the UHaul guy for about 20 minutes to get the trailer attached to the car by lifting the heavy tongue of the trailer. My husband could not do much the rest of the day & had to take his pain medication. It was my husbandâ€™s choice to help but he really should not have had to assist.

This location was by far the worst. They gave me no instructions on how and where to return trailer that has now resulted in me being charged $207 for a rental that should have been $40. Had Schmidt told me the proper return instructions when I called them to ask where and how to return the trailer none of this would have happened. They also did not assist us in putting the heavy trailer on, I am 29 weeks pregnant and could not help my husband. Instead the gentleman that brought us to the trailer just stood back, he didn't check the connections or if the lights worked. I have used one of these trailers in the past with none of these issues. I will never ever use a small site like this again. If it is not a strictly UHaul location, they will not get my business. This has been a giant mess in a time that I already have the stresses of selling my home, working full time and being pregnant.

It was fine. didn't see or deal with much there. dropped the truck, answered a couple questions, and was on my way... it looked like a dirty junk yard though.

I would not recommend u-haul! Schmit towing staff were awesome and helpful. To start I was given an reservation for the wrong type of trailer by the u-haul rep. Second I was on hold for over 15 min then transferred to a person who had no idea why I was being transferred to her when trying to change the equipment at the location. I had to explain the situation again. The process took over an hour and a half. I was forced to purchase the electronic plug unexpectedly as well as pay a minimum of $75 to rent even though the cost was only $45. The representative was unable to tell me with certainty that I would be refunded the overpayment when I returned it. Suggestion- donâ€™t use a call center. Waiting that long when youâ€™re at a business with other customers is not not only frustrating for the customer but for everyone else who has to wait. Be transparent about what the customer is getting. Provide all the necessary information. Donâ€™t say car transport when a person calls to rent a car dolly- they are 2 very different things.

I was turning the trailer in at the location after three days on the road. The person who recognized I had pulled up came out asked why I was there and when I told them I was there to turn in a trailer really did nothing. They halfheartedly told me where to park it and left me alone. They did not offer to help me, did not check the trailer out to make sure there it was clean with no damage and did not check the trailer in on the system. I was expecting much more from a national company.

The provider did not even show me the agreement or discuss what was being charged. It seemed like a bait and switch tactic of charging me double what I agreed to, but never explaining that was what was happening. I was facing a 3 1/2 hour drive and was nearly an hour late, and did not have the chance to read the fine print, if there was any.

This was not the Original location I had requested to pickup the truck. However a Uhaul Rep. called and asked if I could pick the truck up at this location. about 7.5 miles more. I am glad U-Haul increased the mileage limit for me cause otherwise I would have gone over the mileage limit. Thanks, U-Haul

Huge snowstorm had come through and the truck was BURIED when I arrived for pick up. An employee there, I think here name was Savannah, busted her rump and trudged through the snow to brush the truck off clean and it really made a difference for my experience.

Schmit towing, at least at this location, may not be the place for everyone to rent from, They are definitely a towing company not a retail store. Having said that I couldn't be happier with the people there, very helpful and friendly. no complaints at all.

Location was not the one I sugned up at. Wanted to pick up at Brooklyn park location and was told by email trailer was at Fridley . This was the second error u haul made.

Had ordered 6 furniture blankets, received 3. Had requested a utility dolly and received an appliance dolly. Received a phone message after we picked up truck & supplies asking if we still needed the 6 blankets and utility dolly. I'm thinking my stuff was set aside but personnel found us others. Did not adversely affect our move.

When I go there the hire harness was not all there and did not reach to my harness on my truck. They told me I had to return it or I would be charged. When I dropped the trailer off in Grand forks they told me the harness wire had to stay with the trailer so I am hoping I am not charged for it. If I am I will be disputing the charge.

The location did not have the supplies I ordered with my rental. Had to go to another location to pick them up. The operator is the New Brighton store is one of the rudest and most unpleasant person that I have ever dealt with. I have rented multiple times from this location and had similar experiences. I will not be using U-haul again. I am done with your company.

Make sure that you explain to customers that 30 miles is not included, but rather just an estimate. I paid another $18 some dollars for milage when I read that 30 miles was included. Also, make sure that the truck can get out. The truck I got was wedged between a bunch of junk cars and had to have the employee pull it out because I could not get it out. It should not have taken an hour to get through the paperwork to rent the truck when I did all the check in online. Also, make sure that the gas guage is read correctly. My paperwork said 7/8th tank of gas when actually it was below 3/4.

waited 1 hour to get help, wrong trailer number on paper work, didn't help hook up. took 30 minutes to return cause paper work didn't match trailer trailer not clean full of gray blanks thrown in a pile

It took an hour to pick up the truck from the time I arrived. They were busy because they were an impound location as well, they were disorganized and it was very stressful. When I arrived, I waited my turn and when they were helping me, they kept stopping in the middle to put out another fire. There were two woman working, the phone was nonstop and they would bicker about accountability. One lady they couldn't find the car once she paid her fine. They stopped helping me to locate her car in Crystal, MN. Then, they stopped helping because they couldn't find the paperwork for another woman's car when she came to pay her fine and pick up her car. The tank was three quarters full and at a closer inspection, the cab was dirty. I only had it for about five hours and I dropped it off a little cleaner than when I picked it up. I left all stressed out. The customers sat next to me bitching the whole time.

More efficient process for renting trailer. Allow reservations for this site so one does not have to wait an hour to complete the process and get trailer.
