The lady (boss) was rude. I dont want to explain everyting but i didnt like this place
the call center directed me to 277 stjoseph in Hull when the place is closesd on weekends called her back upon arrival for pick up and she tells me all u haul pick ups are at the StLouis location only to be told they have nothing on file for me. Miss Melanie took very good care of me she found a truck for me. she gets things done, every one started paying attention instead of dismissing my situation.I would not hesitate to place her in management which seems to be the problem right now.
The price its really good.
I think the clerk is tired of her job..or she need more client services course..when the customer reserve a trailer and have is info from the e-mail reservation you don t argue with the customer on what her reserve..
Back door of 5 by 8 enclosed trailer was left open and blankets I rented were not in trailer so I had to go back.
Your web site doesn't run well. I have always a problem to connect to reserve and to have a good service. The people are correct but speek to high with other client and client who have a problem witj uhaul. It's not enough confidential. I reserve often a trailer and the procces are really to long. The time i arrive to uhaul since the time i could leave with the trailer. I thing if your web site could be better all the reservation could be really more faster.
Was charged an extra 80 dollars on pick up no explanation. Was told we were lucky if there was more than a 1/4 of a tank of gas in the truck.. there was not

It took an hour before I even got served. Then it took another 20 minutes at the register even if I had already checked in online. The guy who started helping me ended up smoking outside while he was still serving me. It was an awful experience and this place should be under new management because it is not working well at all and it is giving a bad reputation to the Uhaul company name.
Every experience I've had with any Uhaul was a complete disaster. Truck not there, missing equipment, long lines, overcharged. Total headache.

First issue, once I got on the road, the right hand side of the wipers were not working properly, so difficult to see from the right hand side of the vehicle. Not very safe in light of the snow from the previous day and the spray from other vehicles. For being in the business of renting vehicles, I would think that would be a basic item to verify it worked properly. Second, when I rented the vehicle at 7:20am, I specifically asked when the store closed. I was told 7pm. I was specifically then told the agent I would try to be back by 7pm. At 4:18pm, while I was on Laval, Quebec, I received a call from your Uhaul rep from Gatineau asking when I would bring back the truck. I said my intention was to bring it back before 7pm, likely around 6:45pm. She then told me with seemingly irritation uHaul policy didn't allow a vehicle to be returned after 6:30pm. I told in irritation in return that I was not told that information earlier that morning and said to her that her staffed should inform their clients of such a requirement. I therefore changed my plans and rushed back from Laval (2hr drive from Gatineau) to return the truck in time (I arrived at 6:25pm). Needless to say, I am not impressed at all with the service and guidance provided. It was already a stressful day with the move and your inadequate wipers and return instructions from your staff made it an even more stressful day, I am not happy at all. That's on top of you agent justifying to me (without prompt) that the truck didn't have winter tires because you were an American company. Not a great start to make me feel safe. Based on all this, I don't plan on using any U-Haul products in the future.
Le devant de la camionnette n'Ã©tait pas dÃ©neigÃ© et nous avons dÃ» le faire nous-mÃªme. Le niveau d'essence Ã©tait F (plein) et il Ã©tait clair que je devais le remettre Ã F (plein) au retour de la camionnette, c'est normal et c'est ce que nous avons fait. Sauf que nous n'avons fait que 35 km et que nous avons mis 16,5 litres d'essence, ce qui Ã©quivaut Ã 2km/l d'essence, ce qui est anormal, donc il est clair que le vÃ©hicule n'Ã©tait pas tout Ã fait plein lors de la prise en location mais rien Ã faire pour faire comprendre au commis que je venais de me faire avoir et que j'Ã©tais vraiment fÃ¢chÃ©e. SacrÃ©e leÃ§on grrrrrrr!
We booked our Uhaul Truck online. When we arrived to the location to pick it up, we walked inside to wait for our key to be ready, as it was confirmed by the online customer service rep that our truck was ready. The limit for COVID says 3 people inside only, but you can't see unless you walk in. We walked in, the hand sanitizer dispenser was empty. As we were waiting, the manager came out yelling at us to get out as there was already 3 people inside, we agreed to wait outside, but we just wanted to let her know that we already booked online, so we don't need to go through the front desk. She was not letting us talk or explain. She was telling us we Â«Â can't book online, that's not how it worksÂ Â». We had already put our credit card info and everyone through our booking, so we did not want to get charged twice. She was was being very condescending and rude. I figured that maybe it was just a stressful day for her, so I did not say anything. After waiting 40 minutes for our key to be ready, we went back inside as the online booking was telling us to go to front desk to pick up the key. Once we go back in, I noticed that the manager was talking in a very aggressive way to her coworkers and to everyone walking in. Her tone is borderline abusive. I was in shock. I felt like I had to say something, so I did. I said she doesn't have to be rude, then this sparked an aggressive exchange between us. I kept asking why she is saying we can't book online, when we did! I was genuinely confused. She wouldn't answer. She told me to Â«Â take 5 minute outside to cool downÂ Â». I've never been treated like this in any establishment. I've worked in customer service for many years, so I understand that things get stressful at times...but this manager's attitude was terrible. Definitely comes off as a bully towards staff and costumers. The other staff was great, we ended up getting our key after, which meant we did correctly book online. I still don't understand why she was telling us that that's not how they do things there. There is even a sign on the outside of the doors that advertise online booking. I don't wish any harm to this manager, not do I want her to lose her job, maybe she is going through a stressful time...I just don't understand why she was treating people this way. It is extremely disrespectful. We won't be using, or recommending this location anymore. It's not worth the mental turmoil.
Nothing. I was very well received. The employees were so helpful and understanding. Overall, and from far, the best car/truck rental experience I ever had.
Faster response when we book. I was worried when I read that the truck wasn't available at the desired location but it went well. I would have liked to be reassured faster.
If a customer will take the truck, a personnel should guide the customer how to use the truck because a lot of customers does not know how to use the gears on the sides and other features of the truck. Unless the customer already knew how to use it.
Great experience, friendly staff
The COVID instructions were unclear and I did not immediately realize that only three were allowed in the building (also it is really big and it is difficult to see how many people are actually in the store and the cash registers are blocked by boxes and moving supplies - so several times people entered and were told to step back outside, though it is likely that even if people see the three person limit, they have to enter to determine if three people are already in the store). Maybe some reorganizing of the stock could help this situation? That said, this does not take away from the great employees (and the three employees I interacted with were very helpful - the guy cleaning the vans, the cashier, and the guy who took-back the van).

Elle dirige la place comme si les clients n'avaient pas le droit Ã l'information. Une simple question et elle se met sur la dÃ©fensive. MÃªme les autres employÃ©s semblent inconfortables et intimidÃ©s. Je ne crois pas qu'elle devrait Ãªtre en contact avec les clients.
Ce qui a ete decevant on a du attendre pour un camion pres de40 minutes quand la reservation etait faite depuis plus de 1 mois.

I rented a locker there , the facility is clean and the locker was always maintenain But , i rented a truck , it was the worst rental experience ever. I was supose to pick up a 14h45 i left the parking with the truck at 16h00 , i was there since 14h30 just standing in line , there was 2 girl in the office , i suppose the boss and the assistant , they saw the the line and did nothing about it , everybody was upsett , bad boss , bitchy and not client oriented .
The interior of our unit was clean, due to weather conditions (ice, snow) the exterior was not cleaned. The attendants were pleasant and helpful.
