I signed up to check out the vehicle remotely. When I went to pick it up, I was unable to get the van because the staff had not processed it to be available for remote after hours pickup. I called the number that was listed on the website, 540-607-6424 and got voicemail! Ron eventually called back after I had left in frustration and told me I could pick up the van in the morning. I lost a day of productivity (this was on Sunday when I had more help) and as a result I had to keep it an extra day. On my phone call with Ron he told me to call before I returned the van and he would intercede to cut me a deal since I’d been inconvenienced. I did as instructed, and again got voicemail. I turned the van in, and was surprised to find, in my email receipt, that I had in fact been charged the full amount despite being completely inconvenienced, even though I had followed UHaul’s procedures and been treated the way I was. VERY disappointed in UHaul and Ron for not following through.

The front of the van was completely covered in white dog hair and there was dog treats all over the passanger side. My wife is allergic to dogs. Overall the van did as intended but the dirty front made it unpleasant. Will not be renting from uhaul again nor will I recommend

the van was covered in Dog hair and still had dog food in it and smelled like dog pee. No one cleaned it out. I'm very upset I still had to pay full price for such a dirty vehicle. I had no idea it was this way until I got in it t pull out and I didn't have time to wait for them to clean it or another van/truck. But the point is is that I shouldn't of even had to deal with it being unclean. Its not hard to vacuum and put an air freshener in.

This was the original location I picked but you switched my pick up to a different location. Didn't call and tell me so I arrivced at this location. They didn't gave the size trailer I ordered but they were excellent and called you all and got me a bigger one fo r the same price

With the money you receive per vehicle make sure to update the parts my boyfriend is a diesel mechanic and he said it had an exhaust leak also the hub cap on the wheel was all scraped up

Everyone there were very helpful. Backed me in during pickup and drop off. Ensured trailer was secure to vehicle and that all lights worked properly. Lot is a bit tight but they do all the work to make it less inconvenient.

I reserved a cargo van for 8:00am! When I arrived at 8:00 I was told that they don't do uhaul until 9:00am??? I was told they would get to me in a little! At 8:20 I was told that I could get my van. I don't know why I was told I could pick up at 8:00? The workers at Jiffy Lube (where the uhaul was) seemed irritated at me that I was there! Weird! The vans interior was fine except the windshield was dirty & covered with bugs! I was very happy to be able to reserve a truck online, but after this experience I dont think it works very well!

I would have rated my rental experience excellent instead of above average. Except there was one negative about the rental, the black rubber mat in the back of the uhaul van was dirty. I was moving bedroom furniture so having to put my mattress on that dirty floor was not good. Uhaul dealers need to sweep or hose the inside sometimes.

Manager, John at the Jiffy Lube in Harrisonburg, Va, was extremely rude and arrogant when I arrived to return my Uhaul rental truck. Although I was schedule to drop this rental at this location, John wanted to know why I was bringing it back there. He refused to check it in, and told me to just leave the keys in the door, though he was outside and by the parked vehicle at the time. He told us that we should probably take it somewhere else, and explained that the last person who brought one there was charged extra charges. When my wife asked his name, he said " I am John, and yes...I am the manager". He came very close to making me lose my temper with the agressive and rude way in which he was talking to my wife. We were both shocked to be treated with a total lack of respect, and from a manager, at that. We are just moving to Harrisonburg from east Tennessee, and will need a garage to do vehicle services, but you can rest assured that we will not give John a nickle of our business. I also will be sure to tell everyone on Facebook, other social media, Better Business Bureau, Yelp and everywhere else I can find a sounding board, about the unprofessional management team at location #444 on East Market Street in Harrisonburg. This man doesn't have the people skills to work, let alone manage, in any profession that comes in contact with the public. I am 57 years old and have never complained about any one in a public arena before, but I assure you that I will let all that I can, know about this man and this business.

I have been cheated at this location, they charged me for 2 days for rental but actually I rented the truck for less than 24 hours. I contacted them to the email address provided in the e-mail receipt a week ago but no one responded.

The location is good (close to JMU). But .. this is the second time I've either rented or dropped off here -- the first time was a pleasure because the women who runs the place was there to help make the process simple. This time, there was a very young woman who seemed to be helping out with the Jiffy Lube side of the business, was not familiar with the U-Haul process, did not bother to greet me (I had to go out into the Jiffy Lube bay to even get someone's attention!) and had no idea how to run the computer (I was told it was "down" and there was no there who knew how to "fix it"). I was told to simply leave the keys and they'd e-mail a receipt, but there was no attempt to check my contract, no inspection of the vehicle, and, of course, no "Thanks for renting from U-Haul." I saw a help-wanted sing out front ... here's hoping you can successfully hire some adult supervision.

The young woman that checked us in was very pleasant, the truck was clean. We did not go over a contract onsite, a printed label was printed out and my husband was asked to initial/sign in two places and he did. We brought the truck back and were told we were all set and the receipt would be emailed. Everything went very swiftly. Looking at the email this morning there were two errors: 1. we were charged $1.29 per mile when it was quoted on my phone reservation to UHaul as .89 per mile 2. we were charged $15.00 for "Saferide" which we never agreed to. We were not asked if we wanted it and would have said "no" if we were asked. We were only driving 7 miles each way and have our own insurance -we don't take extra insurance on rental cars which we use about 15 times a year either. I've contacted customer service via the phone and spoke with a nice woman who has submitted the request to be reimbursed for both incorrect fees Hopefully this will be taken care of by Monday. U-Haul offers a very important service at reasonable rates and we will continue to use them. I do think we need to be made more aware of what we are signing. Thank you.
