Great response with the equipment. Just wish that the Reservation Center did not try to switch my reservation to another site. Had to make several calls to get it reschedule back to the office in Haymarket. Glad I did!!

Apparently there was conflict within the U-Haul system as to where my drop-off destination was assigned. I was told Haymarket would be cheaper, though Front Royal was closer. So I picked Haymarket. Someone somewhere changed it to Front Royal, and I didn't know. I certainly didn’t ask for it. Because everything U-Haul was doing was wrong and screwed up, I made sure to call Haymarket ahead of time to confirm it was OK to return it there. They told me to come on in. I came on in. It's a shady place down a dirt road with a small sign in the back of some remote, unknown buildings. I had to get out, find someone, and ask where it was to learn it was all the way around back. There weren't any signs leading me there. Anyway, they happily accepted the vehicle and helped me get my car down from the auto trailer. That part was easy at least. Only they never told me that it wasn't expected there but at Front Royal. I wouldn't have left it there until the discrepancy was fixed had I known. Forty-five minutes later I get a call. I expect at this time they'll fix the error. But the receipt I receive by email charges me a total of $421 for a wrong destination. As it turns out, the folks at Haymarket could not have been less helpful. My entire U-Haul experience has been an infernal contraption designed to punish me financially, psychologically, and physically.

The U-Haul reservation system was slow. Much of my information already given had to be re-typed. Other than that, good experience.

The U-Haul reservation system is horrible! I had a trailer reserved at another location and it was not there when I went to pick it up. I wound up paying movers for an hour of their time while they stood in my drive way for an hour before I cancelled. I had to drive 35 miles out of my way in heavy traffic to find one at this location, which was tucked away behind a bunch of other buildings at the end of a dirt road. It was only when my reservation came through the computer system that the operator would give me directions to get there. No one did a thing to help me from the central customer service. The movers finally came back at 3PM and I did not make it to my destination until 1AM the next morning.

the inside of the truck had to be swept out because there was broken glass that was all over the floor. and the gas was between 1/2 and 3/4 full. When you are getting ready to move the last thing you want to do is to go to a gas station and fill up a gas tank or have to guess at putting in gas when you drop it off so you don't get charged $5.00 a gallon.

The U-haul representative was not present so the shop owner had to assist with the reservation software and it was a mess. partly my fault, I should have done the automated check-in online.

Pickup was changed to a different location and then we were upcharged on the back end for 90 additoonal miles. WTF! Im letting all my friends know about this bait and switch. RB. Lynchburg Virginia

Picking up was a pain and took quite a while. The app kept failing, requiring me to restart the process multiple times and once I was finally through the process and told to pick up the keys, the agent was out sick and the folks working in the garage weren't sure what to do because the keys were in the office and they expected them to be in the lock box because the rental was carried out using the mobile app. They weren't sure they should let me have the van I had just rented. It all worked out in the end, they are nice guys, but it just as easily might not have. Dropping off was easy and the van was great.

basically looked like a junkyard. Pointed me to the wrong trailer, I had to find the correct one myself and hook it up alone without their help. Rented 12 blankets only got 11. Second bag only had 5.

Finding the location was very difficult. Once there, finding the truck was a challenge and finding the lockbox even more so as the two were nowhere near each other. The location is literally a junkyard, and without anyone on site is very confusing and difficult for a new customer to figure out.

I got charged extra $16 for not putting enough gas even though I'm certain that I put the exact same amount i took it with.

I requested a pick-up location 2 miles from my house. I was sent to a location 10 miles away that used a mixed-use gravel lot. I had to hand drag the trailer out from behind a dump truck on gravel to get it to where I could hook it to my truck.
