Brakes were extremely soft. Steering on the highway was a challenge. When making turns left or right the steering wheel would make a pop sound. Steering was loose. If I didnt have a time commitment to move I would have returned the truck immediately. I have rented from Uhaul in the past and had similar issues. its clear the fleet of trucks are not properly maintained. This location was an auto shop the truck was parked in a way that you could only back out of the parking lot and it was very tight. Shop refused to back out for me. Prior to all this I went to my original pickup location. My pickup was for 1030a and I was 10 minutes late. As I walked in at 10:41a i got notification that my pickup location changed to a different town, 12 miles away. Come to find out the reason was the autoshop didn't have room for the truck they gave me so Uhaul made the decision to inconvenience me and not the uhaul dealer. (The owner of the shop told me this). After all of this, I will avoid renting from Uhaul if I have other options.
PHILIP HIt is a small parking lot, so it was tight getting the trailer parked, but we made it. The manager was very friendly and helpful.
