My online reservation stated that UHaul would pay me $50 if no one called me within 24 hours to confirm my reservation. Well, no one called and when I went to the location to pick up my reserved trailer the manager did not give me the $50, but instead told me that she knew nothing about a $50 payoff for not contacting me within 24 hours.

I have rented U-haul trucks and equipment multiple times, and I have to say this was the worst experience I have had. The person who was working went over the normal documents with me. When it came to the part of me initialing that the truck was clean upon receipt and I would return it clean I wanted to review the truck before, and I'm glad I did. When I looked into the cab I found food wrappers behind and under the seats, cigarettes and ashes in the small ash tray console and the cup holders near the dash were full of old sticky soda that was not only in the entire area but stains going all the way down to the floor. When I asked if he would be cleaning these items he hesitated in answering me, and finally said okay. He grabbed the cigarette butts and ash tray threw it on the ground outside the cab door, picked up the wrappers by hand and went to grab a bottle of some kind of chemical. He sprayed the chemical all over the dash and cup holders and left it like that soaking wet. When I saw he wasn't going to dry it I asked him "do you want to grab some towels to dry it up I can wait here"? This time he lost eye contact with me, once again hesitated and made me feel as if I asked him for a kidney. He finally went to grab some paper towels but still did not clean everything. By this time I lost my confidence I was going to have a great experience with him and just initialed the paper and gave it back to him. I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Pictures were taken of the unfinished job. To clarify I will never go to this location again.

Experienced issues with reservation/check-in. I've provided breakdown below of timeline of actions: MON, 11/26 I originally made my reservation at another location. WEDS, 11/28 Called location to confirm reservation with a live person. 5:30pm pick up. THURS, 11/29 Received a confirmation email specifying me to go to the 2112 Canada Dry location. FRI, 11/30 5:30PM - Arrived to a locked gate. I began panicking because the gate leading into the property was closed... so I just assumed the office had closed earlier in the day. 5:45PM Called my original location to tell them my situation. They said they didn't have any trucks available so couldn't transfer my reservation back to them. THEN, tried to brush me off to Customer Service support so they could clean up THEIR mess... it was getting close to 6pm on a Friday, so I figured they were trying to get out of the office already. After manager looked at inventory at other locations, she said she found one at another location about 10 miles away (12475 Gulf Fwy) and would transfer my reservation there. 6:30PM - Called new location to confirm pick-up; manager Patrick explained he did have one truck, but it was already reserved. Then explained my situation to him. Patrick then contacted Live Customer Support regarding my situation. Customer Support explained to Patrick, who explained to me, that 2112 Canada Dry was a self check-in location. I told Patrick this was my first time hearing this. 7:30pm - arrived back at 2112 Canada Dry to pick up my U-Haul. SUMMARY- I spent 15 minutes writing this not because I want any sort of compensation. I simply don't want another family like mine to have to deal with an unnecessary, additional stress especially when moving can already be stressful as it is. So, U-Haul, please improve your communication practices and employee training. Your next customer will thank you. P.S. - I'm very grateful for the help Patrick provided me with. What really made this experience stand out was the customer service. The gentleman that helped us with the initial pick up was very friendly and informative.

Get customer service by Marquicia, but i was upset to see that she charged me for insurance after i told her NO INSURANCE. Over all the experience was good. Oh, also google shows that this location opens at 11am and i wasted my day waiting for them to open but come to find out that they open at 8am. That sucks i would hope management fixes this on google, some time soon.

Both locations I picked were changed. Making us drive further. This increased the mileage that was put on the truck on our way to return it. Then they charged me $20 extra for the miles. I’m contacting customer service for a reimbursement !

I'm giving this an excellent experience because the guy who was working the front desk on Saturday when I picked up the truck was so helpful and friendly. I really felt valued as a customer. I wish I had asked his name because we was really great with costumers. He remembered me when I returned the truck the next day, took the keys and said I'll get your receipt to you via email. I didn't have to wait for a second. I'll be back as long as I keep getting treated like that. Kudos!

Fell getting into truck due to floor board was sprayed with oily product and foot slid as getting in and hurt arm told person seemed like she did not care and took to long the help to many people at on time instead of finishing one at a time

Marcus was very helpful, but my experience was sub-par and it all stems from my booking at another location and showing up there only to learn that they did not carry the 26' truck even though I booked it online and then had to go to this other location.
