Was sent a text about an upgrade to larger trailer for free. Didnâ€™t say I needed to respond immediately. Decided I needed the bigger trailer but it wasnâ€™t available. Donâ€™t send text that then cannot be met. Staff was wonderful though. Disappointed with having the smaller trailer. Had to donate items I wanted to take. Which in turn will cost me $$ to replace.

This is the second time I went to rent a van and it smelled like live stock, I am not sure what people are hauling but I think the trucks would be better than the vans for hauling animals. Thanks so much and as always thank you

The 10â€™ box truck i rented needed to be jumped once at destination due to a weak battery! I have rented many times from U-haul, this was disappointing.

Checking in our trailer seemed to be more work than the employee was wanting to do. When I asked for a receipt he said we didnâ€™t need one because it was returned. When I stated that I wasnâ€™t leaving without one he said â€œfine but itâ€™ll take awhileâ€ . I even offered that he could write on our original paperwork that it was returned in good shape and sign that to which he replied â€œ Iâ€™ll sign it but Iâ€™m not writing anythingâ€. In the end it took him less than two minutes to provide us with a receipt, but the bad feelings were already there.

The guy who was working when we picked up the van was extremely rude and unhelpful. We were having trouble checking out the van using the app so we asked him if he could check us out instead. His reply was â€œnext time donâ€™t make the reservation saying youâ€™re picking up with the appâ€. So we walked out and struggled with the app but it finally worked. Next time I I will drive to a farther location next tto avoid this rude person.

Not realizing the official opening time on Saturday was 9am, we showed up at about 8:40am. The attendant was already in the office working, however, instead of going ahead and taking care of us he made us wait until the official opening time. Okay... I understand. I'm sure he had tasked that needed to be done before the official start time that took a precedence over taking care of his customer needs. Here is my real problem. While killing time waiting the 20 minutes, I notice on the lot was three 20 foot trucks. 2 newer in much better condition than the 3rd truck that you could visually tell was older with a lot of millage. So when he open the doors... and we started the rental process, I mentioned that I'd like one of the newer trucks. Does he assign one of the two newer trucks to me as I requested...? nope, I get the old truck without an explanation as to why he couldn't accommodated my request. Keep in mind this was a local rental, 100 miles in town. Jupiter down to Boca and back. Moving my daughter back home from school. Truck left Jupiter at 9:15am and was back to Jupiter at 9:15pm. Why would you not give your customer the newer truck, especially when your customer requested the newer truck? The truck I was assigned smelled in the cab and in the box. The frontend had so much play I was terrified driving it. I had to constantly saw on the wheel to stay between the white lines. I'm not looking for something and I'm only responding to your survey. My question(s) is rhetorical, not looking for an answer. I'm the silent customer that goes away quietly.

I rented a 15 ft truck. The prior user obviously use the truck to haul concrete construction material. As such the ramp was very difficult pull out or put back because the rollers were were jammed with this construction material. Also, the rear overhead door had a spring it was very difficult pull down, and as such if you let the door loose, the door would swiftly fly back up. HOWEVER, my biggest problem was with the trucks fuel gauge. When I initially rented the truck the paperwork showed the gas tank as full, however when turned on truck the gauge was just slightly below full. When returned the truck, the person checking in the vehicle said it was below full. I said it was exactly were it was when I rented the truck. I showed him the gas receipt of 12.075 gallons @ $2,599 a gallon for $31.38, and I said the fuel pump shutoff automatically, which is recommended method. The UHAUL person was rude and didnâ€™t care and proceeded to charge me an additional $7.80. Its not the $7.80 its the employee didnâ€™t care about the poor condition of the vehicle, which had over 130,000 miles I have rented many trucks from UHAUL, but i will never rent from this location again and think twice from renting from UHAUL at any location. We have may choices when renting trucks and UHAUL has really slipped.

Your app did not work for me to pick up my truck electronically. Fortunately the office was open and eventually they decided to help me with my situation. But when I return the truck I put fuel in it took a picture of the dash But they charged me $30ish in fuel. This is crazy. I have never been treated this way when dealing with U-Haul before.

The tail lights were out on the Van I rented. I forgot to tell the clerk as I dropped off keys after hours. This almost caused an accident. Luckily the driver behind me pull over to get my attention to tell me the tail lights were out. Not the break lights (thank goodness) but the tail lights. Luckily I only had a few miles to drive otherwise I probably would have gotten a traffic ticket Clerk was swamped that day but he was very nice and helpful professional. I think it was Jim?

App checkout didnâ€™t work. Had to wait 90 minutes for assistance. Did not have reserved vehicle. Replacement vehicle had no gas. If your goal was to deliver a horrible experience then you were successful.
