I have never felt the need to write a review before but if I could rate this negative 5 stars I would. Drop off location changed even though it was guaranteed. Truck moved to a downhill slope so the tank showed full. Did not have the extra equipment I rented Upon Drop off the person refused the truck and screamed at us and kicked us out of his establishment. The only saving grace was the customer service rep I spoke to was nice.KORNEL T.

Alignment was off a lot on truck; made it very difficult to drive especially in high winds. Windshield washer fluid took a very long time to thaw. Found truck to be not fuel efficient at all. Pickup/ drop off location was fine but there are no designated parking areas for the truck; I could see this being an issue when the plaza is busy and someone might not be comfortable parking a big truck.BRIAND C.
I was told I didn't need to stay when I dropped off the truck and they would refund the difference from the deposit to my card as I knew my total would be much less than $100. They did not refund it. I called and the lady said she had to speak with someone else and asked me to call back. She didn't even bother to take my number and have them call me. So, they took my money and expected me to call to get it back. I don't believe the refund has even been processed. This transaction is an embarrassment to a large and reputable company like Uhaul.WAYNEC B.
It looks there is another charge for the refule after I returned this truck. I refueled the gas more than it was when I jumped in, but the last receipt shows the fuel guage is below what it is. I think it should be 3/8, but the receipt shows the fuel is 2/8. I have some photos taken when I dropped this truck. I cannot figure out why there is another charge for my returning.Giseon S.
This location needs to be either shut down or they should be made aware of what the company policy is. I got my truck yesterday and it was full of snow. The lady at the counter told me that I would have to clean the snow.myself. this was the worst experience I ever had with a U haul. The wind screen washer fluid was not filled. It was not working, and the need for it when its snowing is an essential part of the vehicle. In these conditions how do you expect someone to bring your equipment back safely. Thanks god that I was able to make it safe to the drop off location.Asif M.
My problem did not just start at this location. It started when I went to pick up the truck that I reserved on the phone (previous night) to be picked up at the 555 Fairway Rd S, Kitchener, ON N2C 1X4 as a one-way trip including 200km and dropped off in Kitchener. I was surprised that the manager, Brande, told me that I had an in-town trip. But I insisted that I reserved it as one-way trip. I asked her then to modify it to one-way trip, but she told me that one-way trip can't be done with pick up and drop off locations in the same city. I advised her that I did this kind of trips 2 times before at her location, but she insisted that this is impossible and it has to be from one city to another. This conversation took us a while arguing as she did not want to understand that I did it 2 times at her location. I asked her to try the system and see. Then she told me that she reserved me a one-way trip; she did not admit her mistake or lack of knowledge or apologize. But the problem was that she did not reserve the truck to be picked up at her location 555 Fairway Rd S, Kitchener but at a different location where I had to drive and waste more time (claiming that she did not have trucks for one-way trips). I accepted this reservation as I did not have any other options, ending up with 1.5 hour late for my appointment and feeling terrible. I was really shocked when the manager also profiled me for a previous conversation that I had with her and one of her employees when I was asking about the one month free rental storage unit that I was qualified for. I did not mention this specific point at all, but she pulled it out from the last visit and declined any possibility of help even though I did not ask her about this as I was in a hurry. When I finally got the new reservation and drove to the new location to pick up the truck, I was given the keys, I walked to check in the truck, but I did not receive a text or email to do the check in. I also discovered that my reservation did not include the insurance coverage even though I asked Brande to include it in the reservation. I called the complains department to solve this issue (which indicated that the truck was not dispatched) and went back to the office to figure out the problem. I unfortunately wasted a lot of time trying to pick up the truck. I reported this whole experience to the complains department later and advised me that someone would call me but nobody called me. I called them and they advised me that the file was closed because there was nothing wrong. The manager did her job right and the reservation was one way trip. I declined their decision and asked for escalation when the agent even insisted that she could not transfer me to any body else because there is no thing to do. I insisted as well and she finally transferred me to her supervisor who was really kind and understanding. The supervisor escalated my complain to the marketing president office. Later someone from the office called me and mentioned that every thing was fine and people did their job. I asked him about my initial one-way trip reservation and if he listened to the call; he mentioned that, yes, I reserved a one-way trip. I asked him so why I was not served on that base. He mentioned that he just does not know and that there is nothing that can be done. I came up to conclusion that U-Haul does not care or respect its customers even when they are at fault. I decided not to use U-Haul at my best convenience and go back to the previous companies that I used to deal with. My recommendation is that you should look for the companies that respect their customers. (by the way, renting U-Haul trucks is not cheap; it is only available most of the time) I would not recommend not only this or that specific location, but U-Haul in general.Mohammed A.
